I would give a negative 5 stars if possible. This is worst law firm. I had to get a new attorney because they lied and didn't do anything. For years. They cost me thousands in my settlement because of way they handles case at first.

Chad handled my disability claim with the social security office after they had turned me down. He was easy to work with. Very thorough and patient. He put a lot on hours in on my behalf. Explained the process well, answered my questions, and kept me informed as to what was happening with my case. He even assisted me in getting up to Salt Lake for my hearing. This was my first time sueing anyone and I was very nervous. When we first met in person, Jim took the time to explain my options (including walking out and moving on with my life). I understood my options fully and I was very appreciative. When I got my first invoice, I was pleasantly surprised. He was very efficient with his time and even though he did a lot, the invoice amount was a lot less than I anticipated. I think this is partly because he talks very fast and always gets straight to the point. He is definitely not chit-chatty, which is a great trait when you are paying by the hour. He really doesn’t mess around and his experience helped move things forward as quickly as anyone possibly can in the situation. I highly recommend Jim, and I interviewed several attorneys before I decided to go with him. I felt good about him before hiring, and I felt great about hiring him after my experience with his services.

Mr. Dunn is a no-nonsense attorney. He gets right to the point and doesn't waist your time or money. We've used Mr. Dunn as our corporate attorney for most of our 40 year history. We've used him for non compete cases, employee discrimination, collections, contracts and many other cases. We've had favorable outcomes in most all cases.
He is always responsive. Rarely do I find that we have to wait more than a day to get a response, which isn't typical in the legal world. He applies common sense in all maters, and most of all, I find his judgement to be sound. He speaks in terms that the lay person can understand. I highly recommend Mr. Dunn.

I called for a consultation with Marlon Bates, ot expecting much. I was having troubles trying to figure out my options and routes needed for adverse possesion/heirship/ect. He gave me 3+ more ideas options than ANY other real estate attorney in Utah! He was extremely thorough during our call, explaining everything and answered ALL of my questions (even though many sounded dumb coming from a young woman in her 20s).
I guarantee this: If I EVER need a real estate attorney, he is the FIRST on my lost.
Honestly, I feel like I owe him $400 just for his free consultation!

Attorney Marlon Bates went above and beyond in advising me and drafting an agreement to modify and modification to easement for my house purchase and I'm 100% sure I would not have been able to go through buying my first house without his help.
This was my first every need for an attorney, so I found Marlon through just the regular online search. After sending inquiry to over half dozen attorneys I found, Marlon was the very first to respond with immediate availability. He spent more than an hour on our consultation call, providing more than I was hoping to learn and get advice on the my easement situation. He left on a family vacation the week after but he was still very responsive to my questions and when I decided to move forward with the house with only left few days till diligence deadline, he was able to provide me with the perfect agreement and easement modification draft that I needed to close on my house with a peace of mind. In addition, he was able to clearly outline the risks and the steps that I needed to know and take to fully implement the contract and the modification.
Buying my first house with easement issues was a very scary decision and I would have never gone through buying this house if it wasn't for the reassuring consultation and the contracts and modification drafts that Marlon provided. I would go through this all over again with his help.
Ultimately, I ended up with a better term on the house and more favorable modifications to the easement than I would have initially accepted on the house.

In dealing with Mr. Stephenson from the start. Everything I experienced seemed precise and forthcoming. There was no wasted time on superfluous info that did not help my case.
I did what was asked of me, and then Mr. Stephenson took it all from there.

I could not be happier with the way James handled my case. I felt as though I was the only client he had and all his time was devoted to me. James is very response to email or calls. Jim Bergstedt is an excellent attorney! As a physician, it is very difficult to understand all the implications and legal jargon of a contract for employment. My contract was 13 pages long. Jim Bergstedt did a phenomenal and extensive job reviewing my contract. James Dunkelberger was my litigator on a suit I filed against an errant Uncle who was trustee of my Grandpa's estate. Said Uncle ran to the "No. 1" law firm in the state to defend our suit. When that "didn't work" Uncle ran to the "No. 2" law firm in the State. Hilarity ensued!
It was a 15 month fight into which both James and I each put a lot of time but in the end the beneficiaries on my side got 87% of what their full inheritance would have been and that's a lot better than some on Errant Uncle's side ended up with.
My brief take away is that I would never hire one of those "Big Firms." What you need is a good facts and a great lawyer who is honest, smart, clever and professional (did I say smart?).
It was a long slog but we had good facts and James is a great lawyer and all of those things above. He was instrumental to our favorable outcome.

Don put a lot of effort into my cases. I was facing prison time on charges that I received stemming from two unlawful arrest . Mr. Torgerson fought hard for me and took no interest in any plea bargains that allowed me to admit any crime that he knew I was innocent of l. After a few months of hearings and arguments in court , my felonies were dropped and I was given a plea of abyeance on the misdemeanor charges that I was guilty of under Utah law codes. Jonathan made us 3 promises when we hired him. 1. It'd probably be cheaper to pay him hourly than contingency. 2. He's too busy to communicate as frequently as we'd probably want. 3. We called and asked if they could write a cease and desist letter. A Jennifer Later emailed us that an Adam Kunz charges $100 for 30 minutes. When a law firm won’t tell you if they can assist you or not without charging a fee it’s a scam.

My fiancé hired Mary Bevan to help her with a custody matter. After the first hearing we had concerns with Mary's approach and confidence in the court room, after the 2nd hearing we realized she was as good as having no legal counsel. She has no control whatsoever in the court room and she allowed the apposing lawyer to walk all over her. It got to the point where it seemed like Mary didn't believe my fiancé and constantly kept telling her to be honest in order for her to be able to help. My fiancé never lied and was honest from the start. We ended up firing her and hiring a new lawyer. It took the new lawyer 1 hearing to get the case resolved, Mary had 7 months and didn't do anything.

I found Pearson Butler via MetLife legal plan. Connected with Russ to get our family trust in place. Straight forward to complete, no complaints there. Reached back out to Russ about a completely separate matter unrelated to estate planning. His response was "I do not practice law in this area and thus, have not idea." I guess I just had more expectation than a lazy response with typos. Too much to ask if there's someone he can put me in contact with? I will be moving on from Pearson Butler and find another firm to do estate planning in the future.

I worked with Greg at Hoole&King on a recommendation from another cyclist. He freed me up to focus on recovering from my injuries and succeeded in getting far more money than I expected in settlement to help with ongoing costs that insurance doesn't cover.
