I had about a 6K debt from a loan I defaulted on from a creditor because I was unable to keep up with the monthly payments as a single parent. The creditor sent a sheriff to my home to demand I show up for court and make the payment in full. I was embarrassed, saddened and extremely distraught. I reached out to Heather who was so kind and sympathetic to my situation. She was able to facilitate a monthly payment plan with the creditor which was great. As I was making monthly payments, I began to have some unforeseen circumstances and once again fell in the "no payment" trap. The creditor then sent wage garnishment paperwork to myself and my job. The creditor also noted that the garnishment would begin at the end of the month! I reached out to Heather again who was once again so sweet and understanding. She asked me how would I like to resolve this? I was in shock because no one ever asked me what I wanted to do! I was overcome with relief because I just knew from the beginning that she was on my side. I gave her an ordered list - starting with the best plan to the least favorite plan to get this debt resolved. Heather reached out to the attorney representing the creditor and worked tirelessly on my behalf. I am happy to say that my #1 resolution from my list was accepted and my wages will NOT be garnished!!! I cannot Thank Heather enough for her hard work and effort!!! She is a blessing to have as an attorney and I will definitely work with her in the future!!!!

Back in 2015 I lost my job of 15 years. I had two debts that I could not afford to make payments. I received court papers on one of the debts in the later part of 2017. I had stopped by my mailbox on the way to work on a Monday morning, and in there was a mailing for Heather Benveniste. I opened it at work and decided to contact Heather, and I am so glad that I did. I have never had to appear in court, and on the first debt, she was able to negotiate my debt down almost $700.00 and I received court papers 6 months later for the 2nd debt. I immediately contacted Heather. Again, I never had to appear in court and she was able to get my debt reduced down $1,200.00. All together Heather has saved me the grief and heartache of having to appear in court, no wage garnishments and $1,900.00, but most importantly peace of mind knowing that everything is taken care of with the courts.

We arrived at 9am for a consultation at 9:30am. We figured we'll be waiting for a while anyway, so we got comfortable. Stacy did not hesitate to welcome us with coffee and assisted us right away, ahead of our scheduled time. As we proceeded to explain our situation, I felt very comfortable with her, as she was very understanding and knowledgable. We came in with questions about trusts and a litigation situation. Stacy listened to my problem, and was able to provide options for next steps. She also provided her own recommendation. In going through the steps, I completely understood the process, the timeline, my own liability, and the actions and possible outcomes of all parties involved.
Stacy returned phone calls and emails within a day, which is more responsive than any attorney I have worked with previously.
Stacy dealt with more than the issue at hand. She thought and advised strategically, with an eye on future issues.

Steve Stanton is the best lawyer ever! He keeps his word on everything he tells you. During my bankruptcy, Steve stayed in touch with me, kept me informed of everything, but most of all, he explained everything and didn't make me feel dumb for some of the questions I asked! If he wasn't available at any time, his assistant was always there to answer my question(s). His office staff is very friendly, also. I never once had any bad feelings or experience. Over four years ago our business went under due to the crashing economy. After several attempts in working (on our own) with our bank to secure a deed in lieu of foreclosure, and after seeking counsel with multiple attorneys to secure a deed in lieu of foreclosure with our bank... we were referred to Steven Stanton. He is amazing! While every counselor we met before him advised us to file bankruptcy (even though we made it clear that was not something we wanted to do!) to get out of the financial situation we were in, HE actually explained that we had OTHER OPTIONS. What was even more impressive with Mr. Stanton was that he explained ALL of our OPTIONS in GREAT DETAIL. While we could have filed bankruptcy through him if we chose, he felt there were other ways to resolve our issue. This was great news for us because we DID NOT WANT bankruptcy on our record if at all possible. Wonderful Professional man. Joel was there for me after my car accident. He was 100% responsive to all of my communications, easy to talk to and walked me through exactly what to do right after I was hit...knew I was taken care of and didn't have to worry. Making a decision to file bankruptcy is nerve wrecking, a different kind of stress. Mr. Stephen is knowledge coupled with immeasurable customer service that helped to ease the stress. Attorney Sbertoli helped me many years ago after another dishonest lawyer failed me miserably. He helped me sue to recoup money taken by an unscrupulous contractor. I will be forever grateful to this kind, intelligent, and very honest man. As an international student in Missouri, I was caught speeding in McLean County and I freaked out when I learned I needed to go to court, potentially facing a Class A misdemeanor. Anderson, Boback, & Marshall were great. Jessica Sindel and Jessica Marshall had the patience of saints when dealing with me through such a tough process. It felt like we shared a common goal and reached the expectation that I had in spite of the other side making some very wild claims... I was able to overcome all of that with their help and at no point did I feel like they were billing me unnecessarily nor refusing to take steps to make meaningful progress like other firms I had to deal with.

Stay away from this firm. They are very nice in the beginning however, they treat you poorly once you become a client. I was a client on a bankruptcy and I would ask questions while I was in this case to ensure I was missing anything. Every time I asked a question it became a battle with this attorney. He is very rude and arrogant. He belittles his clients and basically make you feels worse about the situation you are in. Stay away there are several reputable and respectful bankruptcy attorneys in the Chicagoland area.

Worked with Brian Thompto as an attorney to file my Green card and he was so unreponsive, careless, rude and never ever replied back to my emails neither calls. Wasted my 15 months for PWD and PERm and end result is it got denied because of his mistake to not including my skills in ETA-9089 besides providing him all the details. Even after it got denied, he seems like nothing happened and jeopardizing my future and now i am left with no option else than leaving US as my time is getting closer. I would definitely not recommend him and I still can't believe that i am not the first person to give this type of review but still he is serving in this organization. Seems like all Attorneys here are like same where no one care about their clients. If you wish to waste your time and money, please hire from here.

I have to admit, after nearly 5 years of working with them and still not having my debt paid off, it feels like this process wasn't worth it. I have one remaining debt of $12K, and nearly $9K in my account that needs to be paid off. Yet, every month, it feels like the balance never gets closer to being resolved. At this point, I don’t understand why they can't call the creditor and negotiate directly. It finally dawned on me that the reason might be the high fees they charge.
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend them again, and I am determined to stay out of debt just to avoid working with them in the future. On top of that, my account password never works, and I never receive the reset email. For a company taking in so much money, having a properly functioning website should be a basic expectation—it's almost laughable.
