Kyle was a superstar in EVERY way. I was of course nervous but read some great reviews and decided to trust them. Right of the bat he was easy to reach, friendly, helpful, and great with follow thru. My brand new electric car from a new European company had SO many issues, not starting, doors not opening, sunroof not opening, GPS not working, weird nosies, it was an endless list of issues. Most of them were not life treating and more annoying, but he was able to get me a full refund. IT was a leap of faith and I am glad I took it.

I cannot be 100% specific in my case as the information is very sensitive. However, I was wrongfully terminated from 2 employers due to racial discrimination and whistleblowing. My case took maybe 2 years to get resolved for one and less than a year for the other to get resolved, but the outcome was better than what I expected. They were both settled and I did not have to go to court which was good. I was prepared to though if we had to go. She did a good job with explaining to me about the process and the pros and cons of each case . Lauren was very good at communicating at all times. She is by far the best lawyer ever. Being a person of color I felt heard and understood. I also knew 100% that she cared about my situation and it wasn’t just about money and that made me very appreciative. People who are greedy tend to not handle things right, but Lauren definitely made me feel like she wanted to do all she could to help me and she did. She deserved every penny and more really! Thank you for everything you did for me. I really appreciate you!

We were very pleased with the service we received from Lagerlof. Zacharias and Christine did a very good job of handling the probate case that the firm was engaged to deal with. I hired Vincent based on good reviews and a referral from a friend. His rate seemed reasonable, so I decided to work with him. Our initial conversation was smooth, although brief, and I felt confident moving forward. I paid the retainer on 8/17, and he promptly filed the initial form on 8/19. When he informed me that papers were served on 8/27 and the respondent had 30 days to respond, I thought things were progressing well. However, my positive impression quickly faded. I followed up with him on 9/11 and 9/18 without any response. He finally called on 9/19, four hours late, and reassured me that “everything was fine.” When I questioned why he hadn’t filed the proof of service of summons, he brushed it off, saying it wasn’t necessary to file it right away and would handle it later. He advised waiting until mid-October, to which I agreed. From there, communication became nonexistent. I followed up on 10/14 with no reply and reached out again on 10/24, 10/25, and 10/28—still nothing. Aside from filing the initial paper with the court, he has done absolutely nothing further on my case. When I contacted the courthouse myself, I learned that my case had been left completely unattended, with the court even requesting a status update due to inactivity. Vincent’s behavior was not only unresponsive but also unprofessional at every turn. Missing scheduled calls, failing to provide updates, and ignoring my questions demonstrated a lack of respect for my time and trust. He even used a personal “gmail.com” email account instead of a professional one, which, looking back, was an early red flag. His entire approach felt more like a one-man show than a legitimate law firm. Vincent comes off as convincing and charming on the phone (when you can reach him), but if you’re looking for someone who will swiftly take a retainer, make empty promises, and waste your time, he’s your guy. I wasted two months trusting that he was working on my case while, in reality, he had abandoned it. Now I’m forced to dismiss the case he filed and start over—an unfortunate setback given the lengthy court process. Please beware of Vincent when choosing a lawyer to represent your case. His unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and disregard for his clients’ time make him a poor choice if you need real legal representation.

When I first came to Alexis, I was heartbroken and discouraged by the way the LAUSD was treating our child. We had tried another attorney who had taken our money and not helped. I was a bit traumatized by the process when we found Alexis but - WOW, what a difference the right lawyer makes. It was such a relief to be able to trust that there was someone on our side that knew the system and would advocate for our son. Alexis has known everyone at each of our mediations and everyone has treated her with respect(believe it or not, this is not always the case). She went above and beyond and managed to do the impossible - because of her, we got the services and schooling that the LAUSD initially told us wouldn't happen. I only had an over-the-phone consultation with Edrik, but through that I was able to tell that he's an honest and capable lawyer. Whereas I suspect many lawyers may attempt to collect money from you as soon as possible, Edrik was forthcoming enough to give me sincere advice as to why I should or shouldn't hire a lawyer for my legal claim. ***Replying to Counts Law Firm's Response*** In our original "free consultation" on 9/11 I made it clear that I would reach out to you when I was ready but you charged me $500 to send me a retainer agreement on case completely unrelated to the case you were hired for. I never requested a retainer agreement from you. They never disclosed that they would charge me for the consolation on 9/11 at any point. You charged me $1000 for 45 min call. If there is anyone thinking about hiring this firm please see the attached invoice. I received a bill from the 9/11 call only once they had my $2500 retainer I paid on 10/25 in hand. This was completely unethical and exploiting business practices by this firm. I have never written a review in my life, let alone a negative review. As a small business owner, I understand the impact a negative review can have. However, my experience with Counts Law Firm was so unprofessional and disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. I gave them every opportunity to make this right, but they failed. I initially contacted the firm for a completely unrelated matter around 9/7/24, I didn't hire them for the matter we discussed. Please keep in mind this was a free consultation. During that consultation, I had a 45-minute conversation with attorney Emahn. Afterward, the firm followed up with several calls, despite me making it clear that I would reach out when I was ready to move forward. Later, I contacted them for a different, business-related issue involving an employee. I simply needed a cease and desist letter sent. They quoted me a $5,000 retainer but agreed to reduce it to $2,500 when I expressed concerns. Their hourly rate was $500, and I assumed I would receive professional, efficient service. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. They used the $2500 retainer to bill/charge for the free consultation, I never received an invoice for the "Free Consultation". On 9/11/24 was the "Free Consultation" they billed me on 10/25, keep reading... From the start, the communication was frustrating and disorganized. I received nonsensical emails that required responses from me when I gave them all the information they needed —and I was charged $125 for emails that didn't make sense. After paying the retainer, I requested a brief 10-minute call with the attorney to discuss the case on 10/29. Despite the urgency of the matter, I was told he wouldn’t be available until 11/5, more than a week later. I never actually had a call with him regarding this matter, which is baffling considering I hired this firm to handle a critical situation. I have had to hire attorneys before and I have never not been able to speak directly to the attorney once my retainer was paid. I knew then this was going to be an awful experience, but the retainer was already paid. requesting my money back would only delay the urgent cease and desist letter they needed to go out. Adding insult to injury, I was charged $1,000 for my *initial* 45 minute free consultation that I never hired them for. See the attached invoice from 9/11 but billed on 10/25 when they had my retainer in hand for the cease and desist letter, they charged me $500 for the consultation and $500 to prepare the retainer agreement I never signed or agreed to. To top it off, the cease and desist letter I needed? I essentially wrote it myself, They made minor edits, "attorney recommendations" and billed me roughly $2000 for the one 3-paragraph letter. The entire experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and felt like a money grab. For anyone considering Counts Law Firm, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was a terrible experience, I strongly recommend staying away from this firm!!

Kyle was a superstar in EVERY way. I was of course nervous but read some great reviews and decided to trust them. Right of the bat he was easy to reach, friendly, helpful, and great with follow thru. I retained the services of Esperanza Anderson on June 1, 2023, expecting professional legal support. When I explained my case to her, she was excited to take it and sold me on trusting her. However, my experience was extremely disappointing, especially because she had seemed so trustworthy at first. Ms. Anderson displayed a blatant lack of communication throughout the process, which left me feeling stranded and frustrated. She said she preferred text over calls but then rarely responded, and then completely stopped responding out of nowhere. I was strung along with no substantial progress on my case, nor was I updated on any developments. Despite my attempts to reach out to her or her office and seek clarifications, my concerns were not addressed. The pinnacle of my disappointment came when our retainer was terminated unceremoniously without any explanation from Ms. Anderson. This not only disrupted my legal proceedings but also cost me time and resources in finding a new attorney. I felt disregarded and disrespected as a client.
