Almost 5 years ago, I went on FMLA and took a short medical leave from my job. My doctor told me that my job was protected and not to worry about missing work. To my surprise, when I returned to work, my employer abruptly changed my job duties and acted mad I had been gone. This was too much and I was an emotional mess. I tried fighting to get my job back to no avail. My sister suggested I call a lawyer. I called the only lawyer I knew in Wisconsin. I begged her for help and she gave me 2 lawyer's names her law firm referred individuals to for employment disputes. Both lawyers I called were awful! They wouldn't listen to my story for more than 5 minutes without cutting me off to say they would charge me to come in and meet with them. That's when I turned to Google and found Attorney Mihelich. I spoke with his secretary first (intake) and then received a call back that same week from Attorney Michelich. He gave me free advice for a meeting with HR and my boss. He also told me he hoped I didn't have to hire him. At the HR/boss meeting, company management ganged up on me and told me I was not a "team player" for complaining. I circled back to Attorney Michelich and within two weeks, my boss got fired, the HR manager resigned and I got a speedy confidential resolution to my problem without having to go to court. I was so impressed that as I moved onto other jobs, I refused to accept unfair treatment knowing that the Employer does not always win. If you're a Wisconsin employee with a dispute, let Attorney Mihelich take it on. You will most likely have to pay by the hour, but it's worth it for peace of mind from the idiots who run some of these companies.

I hired Bob as my attorney after working with him prior on what turned out to be a wrongful termination claim against my employer. One of the main reasons I decided to hire Bob (besides his reputation for being good at what he does), is that he treated me with respect and understanding. Bob is a down to earth person who really cares for his client. He is not just about the money as I found with a few other attorneys I had met with prior. I as terminated after over two decades of service with no real reason or a severance package. Bob worked diligently with me from the start, sharing realistic expectations and options along the way. In the end, I walked away satisfied and with peace of mind. Bob is a great attorney, and one who works closely with you, laying out realistic expectations that help you make the best decision. From the start, he gives great advice and is a bull dog going after what you deserve. I would recommend him to anyone who has an employment case needing legal attention.

We had a new employee with less than 90 days service, and after 5 weeks of classroom and OJT training, violate one of our most stringent work rules----twice. The first time we gave her a written warning, the second time it happened we terminated her employment. She filed complaints with both the Federal EEOC and the State ERD claiming discrimination based on her sex, age, harassment, and religion. The State ERD deferred to the EEOC to investigate and they found no merit in her charges. They then dismissed and issued a Right to Sue letter. The claimant filed suit in Federal Court and we engaged our attorney Al Seneczko to help us defend against it. He provided excellent advice, some of which was quite unique and effective with the court. He also handled all court documents and provided superb and very responsive service. We would definitely hire Al again to help us with an employee relations issue.

Mr Kloth helped out my in-laws with a lawsuit that was filed against them by the people they sold their house to. There was a water issue that popped up due to a lack of maintenance by the new owner of the property. My in-laws were being sued for $200,000. Mr Kloth was able to get them the information they needed to mount a successful defense. He laid out the costs of moving to a jury trial vs a settlement. After deciding to settle, he helped negotiate a settlement that was very favorable to my in-laws. We would strongly recommend Mr Kloth.

Brenda helped me with my unemployment cases. UI refused to Pay some claims and just royally messed up other claims for no rational reason. I have hired many attorneys for a variety of reasons and most are not worth their weigh in dirt. Brenda is NOT one of those, Brenda helped me with many administrative hearing. She was always professional and prompt. She knows the system and the ALJ's well. One hearing got lost. She fixed it. She helped speed up the process and cut the red tape. Out of 12 hearings we won all 12 hearings easy. The UI system in 2021 - 2022 is one Messed up arbitrary system of over worked amateurs. With Brenda's help I got all the money I was due. Late but I got it and I would never of survived the COVID years without those funds. I would of been homeless. Brenda told me what I needed to know and how to present myself in the hearings. (Keep quiet, listen carefully and make your answers short and to the point.) Great advice. Brenda is a problem solver, without compromise and does not miss a beat. She thought of many things and strategies I would of missed. Though we never met in person, I owe Brenda a drink and A hug. Going to miss you. James

My wife quit her job and her employer withheld her final paycheck, requesting that she come into sign paperwork she was not legally obligated to before handing over the check and then lying to the Department of Workforce Development and claiming she had kept keys. We contacted Scott and he was able to litigate our case effectively, reaching a settlement for twice what was owed and then successfully motioning for legal fees to be paid by my wife's former employer. Throughout the process, he was professional and communicative. Echoing the other review on here, if you were not paid by an employer, Scott will help you get paid.

I was not paid by my employer, and thought I was never going to get paid for work I did. Looked around for employment law attorneys and Scott Luzi took my case. He was able to get the wages paid to me that I deserved with an additional penalty for refusing to pay me initially. If an employer refuses to pay you, contact Scott Luzi. He will stand up for you and make sure you’re paid for your work.

I have not come across any lawyer who would spend considerable time over phone without any charge to you to understand whether you have a case and advise you. A lawyer with 42 years experience! Thomas S. Burke is not after your money; he is after a cause - fight employment dsicrimination. He is semi-retired. If you have a case why not speak with him beofre he is fully retired? Bill represented my sister and I following the death of my mother in a no-fault automobile accident of which I was a passenger and her the driver. On a contingency basis, Bill pursued our case against a large insurance company for damages owed in respect to this accident. Our case was rejected through appeals and Bill offered to submit the case to the Wisconsin State Supreme Court for review. The Justices there found merit in the case and agreed to hear arguments. Bill successfully argued our case there after approximately 6 years of litigation. Clearly Bill is a first-class litigator and brought some closure to what had been, because of a slow legal system, a long, drawn-out and emotionally trying process. He and his staff were continually responsive to questions and concerns that my sister and I shared. He was, upon prompting, willing to simplify more confusing and/or technical aspects of our case and its journey through the state legal system. He also seemed to work on a very professional basis with another excellent lawyer representing me in a related matter. Not only did he provide quality service throughout the entire process, but he also provided appreciated and important advice to us following the resolution of our case even though he had no obligation to do this.

I had the chance to work with Eric for an accident that happened on my motorcycle. I ended up with a broken pelvis which landed me in the hospital for a week and three months bed rest. I contacted Eric to have him handle everything. He did exactly that. I didn't have to worry about Insurance Companies bothering me with forms to fill out or forms and paperwork with the doctors and hospitals. He also got all of the detailed information from the accident and the police. There were even some confusion between the insurance companies and the hospital offices which he took care of immediately. Eric had me in a place for me to not worry about anything and I could put 100 percent focus on recovery. It was a great feeling!

I was able to meet with Peter in person without a fee or retainer which is rare with so many money hungry lawyers out there desperate to make a quick buck. He was busy with a deposition hours away, yet quickly responded. I needed to respond to my employer regarding a separation agreement within 24 hrs. He spent 45 minutes advising me on the phone to look at the big picture, rather than a quick fix (that would make him more $), showing genuine concern for my long term well-being without immediate secondary gains. Because he was unavailable, he have me a list of several other attorneys and encouraged that I get into see someone immediately. I really like the attorney he recommended. I could not have been more impressed with Peter and would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat.

I got to meet Attorney Sulton with Lynn Laufenberg for a multi vehicle collision accident last February where I was rear ended and three others by the same offender. His office and staff have been polite, professional and pleasant. When the medical bills that I did not cause started piling up his office and paralegal Jennifer, helped out tremendously so we did not go to collections. William works well with his colleagues and clients with a true dedication to the law on an individual and collaborative level. Hired attorney Sulton for my case involving a hands down violation off multiple constitutional rights on videotape. Attorney Sulton was a waste. Multiple times he blew me off he was “out of town “. Did not explain things. Lack of communication. Spent thousands on him then after a year of him not doing anything with my case I finally got him to answer me and now my case price went from being not 10grand but now he wanted 50grand. He is an utter disgrace to law. I was completely disgusted how he treated me and handled my case. Representing me for a year spent thousands and he did absolutely Nothing but waste my time and money and mentally messed with my head in The Worst Time of my life. When I was in a situation I never would have thought I would be in. This attorney failed. He added to me mental anguishment. I put my trust and livelihood into this mans hands and completely failed.
