On 06/18/2022 , my life changed. After I was released from the police station the following day I felt alone, embarrassed, remorseful, hopeless, empty, sad and clueless as to how I was going to face my new reality. That day I was taught a big lesson that I will never forget. As a kid my father told me that two of the most important dates in someone’s life are, when you are born and when you find out what you were born to do. My dream and goal in life was to be a public servant as a firefighter/medic; thus, I always tried my best to maintain a clean record and contribute to my community. I achieved my dream and served my community proud, but that dream was short lived. For the last two years my life has been on stand by and every time I hear a siren on the street my heart shatters. From the moment I first spoke with you Mr. Levin I knew I had chosen the right attorney with the right team; you and Jon and all your staff gave me hope during a time of uncertainty. In my 10 years of working with business attorneys, Oz has been the best one so far. He is unique in that he spends a lot of time educating business owners. I've never met an attorney who spends their valuable time mentoring and guiding business owners to make the right decisions. A female business owner who I referred to Oz was looking to own a franchise. After speaking with Oz, and learning the pros and cons from him, she decided not to purchase this franchise. That right there is incredible generous work by Oz. Most business attorneys get right down to business and contracts, but not Oz. He talks to you.

Mark is a consummate lawyer who has complete command of the law and is a great advocate for those in need of a defense attorney who will guide them through a process that is often complicated. He was a quick study of the facts of the case in which he represented my interests and was able to give me hope that there could be a successful resolution to the case at a time where I felt utterly hopeless.
After retaining two other attorneys prior to engaging Mark and feeling like I was not being heard, I was fairly cynical until I met Mark. He immediately offered solutions to my case that I had not heard from the other attorneys and, like any good advocate, provided realistic analyses of the solutions which gave me the opportunity to make an informed decision.
Ultimately, Mark was able to obtain a successful outcome for me and I firmly believe that I would be in a much worse position today had I not had the good fortune to contact him and his law firm.

I retained the services of Mark Geller through The Law Office of Michael L. Fell in Orange County, California and was represented until the completion of my case in 2024. Mark Geller understands the role of a prosecutor so well; he delivers a clear explanation of standard outcomes so you understand the environment of the court yet the insight to see beyond those as the only options. You can trust his word and while he certainly has the skill to go to trial if needed, he had the experience to deliver a positive result similar to acquittal through fair and successful negotiation with the District Attorney's office for me. This offered an expedited time frame, opposed to a trial. It greatly reduced my overall expense and emotional distress. The firm also has victims rights experience resulting in a broader perspective which helps their clients receive great consideration if they have been victims of domestic violence in their overall situation, as in my case. Mark Geller and team stand above others because of the level of respect you'll receive as a client. In terms of results, all four of the charges, which included felony charges in my case, were dismissed by the Orange County District Attorney's office as Mark worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome. Because false statements were made to Newport Beach police by my abusive domestic partner on the date of incident, these felony charges resulted. Proving this was based on false information was critically important to me from the start. Mark Geller examined a mountain of evidence discovering this truth and was skilled enough to successfully present it for acceptance by the District Attorney's office. As a result, I was exonerated from these false accusations and feel I received a fair resolution to the case. Ana was a fantastic attorney who helped me navigate through a very difficult situation. My client had a bench warrant for not showing up to court. Richard made the whole thing go away, not even traffic school in his case.

As others have mentioned here, from my very first call with Lisa I felt much more calm about my situation. She was very organized and reassuring through the whole process. Her demeanor is very calm and she responds immediately. We had to do a Zoom hearing as I don't live in the area, which she arranged against the court's will. Then to add to her professionalism, the judge complimented her on her execution of my case and having all the paperwork done perfectly under unconventional circumstances.

I've never written a Google review before but I had such a positive outcome in my case that I'd like to recommend Ms. Kopelman's practice to those in need of an attorney who can support you through your ordeal. I spoke with a few attorneys when I found myself involved in an unexpected legal mess. I was really frustrated just trying to figure out legal representation, which I've never needed before. Some attorneys were impossible to even reach. I got a lot of answering services. Some attorneys honestly explained why they COULDN'T help me. I was scared and needed help. Lisa Kopelman's name had been given to me by a friend who's son had used her. I left a message with her service at the end of a business day and was shocked and relieved when she called me back the same afternoon.
Lisa made an appointment with me for the very next day and, for the first time since my problem started, I started to feel like maybe there was a way forward. I did not realize the full scope of my situation until Lisa heard me out and put everything into a legal context. I was actually more concerned about some issues that turned out to be more about my reputation than actual legal problems. Lisa distilled the real legal matters and outlined a comprehensive plan of action.
I'm an educator and tried to research the laws and court precedents. I felt pretty informed and totally overwhelmed. That's when a colleague pointed out to me that getting a lawyer is like going to a surgeon. You learn what you can about your condition but you have to put yourself in the hands of the expert when it comes to the actual surgery. So you better make sure you're in the best hands possible. And you have to trust they have only your best interest at heart and they know exactly what you need.
It may sound hokey, but this made perfect sense to me. Once I realized that I had done my due diligence in selecting Lisa, I decided it wasn't helping me or my case to worry constantly. I hired an attorney who I felt had a ton of experience and who would turn over every stone to help me and not miss anything. I can't say I ever felt completely safe during the whole ordeal but I did feel like I'd done all I could and Lisa would take it from there to do everything she could. She was very serious about being thorough.
In the end, I was spared a lot of unnecessary court appearances and Lisa negotiated a resolution, with the other parties involved, that I thought greatly favored me. Not everything went completely my way but I know it went as well as possible. I told Lisa that I hope I never need her services again but it gives me great peace of mind to know she's there.

It was my pleasure to be represented by Brett & Heidi.
Initially dealt mainly with Brett where I got my child back after a Fake DV order was filed and granted against me with weak evidence.
After we finished the first hearing I got 50% custody of my child, and Heidi took over from Brett at that point.
The other party does not follow our court order, and constantly lives in a where double standards is okay. Heidi is efficient in her wording to detail and highlight the issues in writing to opposing counsel, letting them know how their client is violating the court orders. Everything is properly documented with evidence of communication.
Heidi is busy, I can imagine that when you're amazing at what you do you'll be in demand but she typically gets back the same day or next.
I can't recommend Heidi enough, she is professional, swift, and gets the job done.

I wouldn't wish a divorce upon anyone. If you have to get a divorce, you'll want a layer who will have your best interests at heart, will work with you through your case and support you through the process. Gerry Maggio and his team were outstanding. I couldn't have gotten through it without them.
