After the most horrific accident imaginable, I didn’t know where to turn. I was fortunate to have a friend recommend Morgan law group to see what they could do for me. I was lost and confused and never been through anything like this before. I didn’t even know what steps to take and honestly if I even wanted to take any at all. My life had been changed so radically.

My experience with David Hardy was exceptional. He made the whole DUI process easy and as stress free as possible. He explained all every step of the way. He was able to negotiate with the Asst. States Attorney a more beneficial plea deal for me. Well after my court date I was having an issue at the Probation Office, he called and took care of the whole thing for me in a matter of minutes.

I had been represented by a public defender who told me I was ‘100% going to jail and there were no further options to negotiate with the prosecutor. Click. See ya in court.’
I hired Ben to represent me in the last lap of this case, with little time to prepare (1 month). Not only am I, ever so gratefully, writing this review from my patio v. a jail cell…I was sentenced to time served and a small fine that was immediately paid off by my bond.
Ben is a brilliant attorney with a calming, pleasant affect, and perfectly professional. He put contingency plans in place so that even if the Judge denied his plea for my release, I would’ve had the option to do community service v. jail time. Always keeping in mind that a jail sentence would be devastating to me. My life is already a dumpster fire but I’m making every effort possible to clean up the mess I made, prevent a recurrence, and am making positive traction. That (and much more) would be lost, had I been incarcerated as promised by the PD.
Ben and Darci, in my opinion, went above and beyond the call of duty by recognizing my high stress level, and treating me with such kindness and generosity, offering much needed reassurance and peace of mind that I certainly DID have other options besides incarceration. They REALLY care! That’s hard to find these days.
I am deeply grateful to these wonderful people who have significantly impacted the trajectory of my life in a positive and seamless manner.
I also feel like I have 2 new friends in this crazy world! The personalized care and humanity I was shown cannot be purchased. It comes freely from truly GOOD people. These are good people.

I contacted Julia, when my ex had just threatened divorce. I'm so grateful that I took the time to call, get the info I needed and feel some peace. I had hoped that I would never need to call back. However, when he pulled the trigger, I was on it and Julia was ready to go.
She gave me a very realistic honest picture of what to expect, as best that anyone can do, not knowing how my ex and the Opposing team would show up.
In Mediation, Julia was unflappable!! The OC was yelling and screaming (when we they had to interact) and Julia was calm and cool. When his team tried to pull punches, she was right there was an answer and proposing things for my defense. for example, when my Ex wanted to divide the upfront alimony into two payments - 6 months apart, within nanoseconds, she agreed "with interest and here's that interest amount as of today". Wow, that alone yielded me an additional $11K in my settlement. She was timely in her replies and her legal assistant was amazing to work with. We had TWO long days of mediation, and she was incredible throughout the entire time! I'm oh so grateful!

Julia is literally a Godsend-- I was at my breaking point facing criminal contempt charges on a short-term (7 year) no children divorce proceedings -- 6 years of depositions and 19 Request for Production of Documents (no privacy ever- had to provide my credit card and bank statements every 4 months)
I was beaten down and severely depressed not to mention the financial stress of 6 years of contentious divorce hearings and two trials and an appeal later-- Julia came into my life to defend me on the Criminal Contempt charges- yes, I was facing 6 months- to 1 year in jail for not being able to make money during COVID and pay the Temp Support Order which had not been in place for 6 years.. What is Temporary about that?
I was very frustrated and lacked confidence in the legal process, courts and lawyers when Julia asked me to trust her.
This was easier said than done as I had heard those same words from four (4) previous attorneys who all made my case worse-- not better. Julia held my hand and allowed me to cry and be frustrated while continuing to move forward cleaning up the mess that was created by previous counsel and a court system that was not caught up to dealing with a Pandemic.
14 months after meeting Julia-- she had cleaned up the mess and officially ended the 6 plus years and Malicious prosecution from my Ex Wife's attorney who only saw Dollars in his eyes when he saw me.
I have the luxury now of looking back in hindsight and ask myself often how much different the last 6 years would have been had I known and hired Julia from the start?
Dont make the mistake I made - use this review as a "teachable moment" and take advantage of the hundreds of thousands of dollars that could have went to my retirement instead of opposing counsel's pocket.

I can’t say enough good things about Kevin Hayslett. He’s a miracle worker and the best criminal defense attorney out there. I was arrested for a DUI and two felony charges after the worst night of my life. I had been drinking way too much, and I ended up breaking into a store and takingthings I don’t even remember. I passed out in the back of the store, and the police found me there.
The State Attorney’s Office wanted to send me to prison for 18 months. My first lawyer told me I should just accept it, and I was ready to lose everything. That’s when I found Kevin Hayslett, and thank God I did.
Kevin fought for me and believed in me when no one else did. He was able to get the two felony charges dismissed completely, and he even got my DUI reduced to reckless driving. The best part? There was withholding of adjudication, which means I didn’t get convicted and now I’m getting my record sealed.
I honestly can’t believe how well it worked out.

I went to Kevin seeking help with my defense of three violent felonies (two batteries on law enforcement and resisting arrest with violence). I filed for divorce in 2005. It took over 3 years to finally get my dissolution of marriage completed in 2008.
Since, 2011 I have basically been litigated against by my ex-wife and her new attorney non-stop. My other attorney (who was also a family friend) quit because she got tired of handling it and I started handling everything Pro Se.
In June 2016, I finally had enough and asked another attorney friend of mine to a family a referral. He recommended the office of Christine Derr. Christine put Kim Hamill on the case.
I want to tell you that Kim is probably the most capable, most well prepared attorney that I have every worked with.
Kim meticulously researched and countered all the opposing attorney's issues, resulting in ALL his motions basically being denied. As a result the case, that has dragged on for YEARS now looks to finally be coming to an end even though Kim has only been on a case a short time.
I emphatically recommend Kim Hamill for any family law case that you may have. I am sure she is probably just as capable in other areas of law as well but I have not personally see her in those areas.
