As a business professional, I have required legal services for countless situations over my lifetime. Mostly for normal business dealings, though a few were more adversarial in nature. In either case, selecting the best attorney for the situation is obviously important. When our family was faced with a situation involving a family member being falsely accused, I found myself out of my element as family law was an area I had never needed to explore. I did know however, not having the best attorney in this particular case would mean a devastating outcome and a tarnished record that would haunt us for a very long time.
My vast and extensive research brought our family to Usow Law and thank goodness it did. Simply put, Jody Usow is an extraordinary attorney in every way. From the beginning, she was great at managing the expectations, the process and our family. Even though our emotions and frustrations would sometimes run wild due to the unjust accusations, Jody always managed to recenter us and focus on the law and her plan to succeed.
Jody's experience and overall strategy in dealing with the opposition was brilliant. I was very impressed with her proactive tactics that set the stage for a favorable outcome. Watching Jody in the courtroom was a sight to behold. Measured and mild-mannered up until the petitioner's testimony became clearly disingenuous, and the lion was unleashed. In this day and age when we have so little accountability, it was thrilling to watch a dishonest person eviscerated on the witness stand during cross-examination due to their lack of integrity and vengeful actions. Needless to say, Jody was so compelling in the courtroom that the case was dismissed without her client (our side) ever needing to testify. Jody brought this 4-month nightmare our family was living, to an end!

I initially hired Jody to assist with a temporary restraining order case I was facing where my child’s mother over exaggerated an argument and lied to police to get the TRO. Jody stepped in last minute literally the day before, heard my story, met me at court and represented me for the hearing. The TRO was granted but Jody being the realist she is, let me know going into the hearing that it would likely be granted and why. Even then I appreciated her honesty and willingness to represent me on such short notice. After the TRO hearing my child’s mother decided she did not want me to see him so I continued to work with Jody with the goal of getting 50/50 custody and placement. Jody has proven to be a beast in the court room at every hearing we’ve had. She is very professional, down to earth, respected by the court and she knows her stuff! Her assistant Nick is just as awesome! We all worked together to accomplish the end goal and they were both very professional, nonjudgmental, and willing to educate me every step of the way. Nick even took the time to call and find out officers were in office, and ride his bicycle to the district to serve them for a court hearing the next day because they had not been able to be reached or served. I enjoyed working with Jody and her staff especially with this all being new to me, she would always answer my very long emails or phone calls in a timely manner, she worked with my family members/friends who were helping me with testifying or confirming information, and she understood how important it was to me to be apart of my sons life and have him be apart of my family and his siblings lives. She took time to educate me on what was happening throughout the entire custody battle and was patient with me when I did not do my part in a timely manner. At the end of my case, I got everything I wanted 50/50 placement and custody, even with the mother having representation and even with the TRO in place- which was a blessing in disguise because Jody fought for the mother and I to have court ordered communication through Our Family wizard where everything is documented for lawyers or the court to be able to access with no way for parents to delete information. Jody has been a huge blessing to me and my family and was worth every penny! Even after my case closed she followed up, gave me great advice and encouraged me to reach out to her if needed. I highly highly recommend and she will be the first name I give to anyone going through any family court disputes.

Mr. Marry was vigorously recommended to me, with absolute promise of his success, were he to handle my DV case. Facing felony charges and the ruin of my foreseeable future, I went to Phil an absolute wreck. I was shocked at how calm, composed, and collected he remained, and at how hopeful he was for my situation. Sidney Sodos has been my attorney since 1984 when he had to help me with some issues pertaining to my first born son , He did an excellent job in resolving the matter and always puts his client's interests first. I've had other lawyers before and nobody compares. Attorney Brittain didn't tell me to take a deal because I would lose. Instead, he listened to me and told me we should fight and go to trial. He did a psycho-drama with me and it was amazing. After the psycho-drama, I understood how he was going to win my trial. He is a fantastic lawyer!

My boyfriend and I worked with Kayla Taggart. I can not say enough. She was awesome from start to finish, and I would definitely use her as a an attorney if I need to again. Long story short, my boyfriend was facing a residency restriction, based on an event that happened ten years ago. I was calling around to different places in Appleton and Green Bay with the no luck. I then called her law office. The secretary that answered told me that she might have someone to help us. I talked with Kayla and she said that she would be interested. We met with her several times. She read through the material that we gave her and she also did some digging to get us the background that we needed to be successful. She also coached my boyfriend through the process. This made both him and I more comfortable. She was positive, but didn't sell us a dream. She covered multiple scenarios and how we would tackle each one. When I needed to get custody of my daughter quickly I was referred to Ginger at Your Family Law Center. She met with my wife and I promptly to discuss the situation we found our daughter in. Not only was she able to find information about my ex and her husband to properly paint the picture of horror my daughter was living in. But with her incredible work we were granted exactly what we needed to provide our daughter with a more stable and healthier home environment. I would highly recommend Ginger, so much so that I have already referred a family member to her services. Ginger was kind and understanding with my ex's situation but demanded no nonsense in the matter of our daughter's safety.

There was a time, I was a credit disaster, I knew absolutely nothing about how credit works. I’d pay bills late thinking paying late was better than not paying at all. I hired Mr. Kenyon in both a civil and criminal defense case regarding Marijuana and DUI. I've found that Charles did not keep proper notes regarding my case, as I've had to constantly remind him of what took place on the day of my arrest. During a suppression hearing regarding evidence, he admitted evidence we were trying to suppress. He was regularly late for court, and was not at his office at times we scheduled meetings. In the end, I had to fire Mr. Kenyon and appoint a public defender. Definitely not worth the $6k flat fee retainer.

I was arrested at 5 a.m on a Saturday morning and I asked a family member to find an attorney for me. She contacted Mr. Kenyon. He was extremely responsive and met with me over the weekend to set my expectations, gather facts, and begin formulating a strategy.
He met with me again early Monday morning, briefed me on the steps he had taken, and once again did a fine job of ensuring I knew what would be happening over the next few days.
As it turns out, my charges were dropped a few hours later, but it was clear that Mr. Kenyon was an excellent choice and had a firm grasp of dealing with the legal process, and developing a strategy for my defense. I would highly recommend him.

My wife and I were very pleased with Gia and Jose from Pionek Valle. Throughout the K-1 process to get my now wife into the US, we had an online attorney who was atrociously sloppy and unresponsive. Complete opposite of Gia in every facet.

My suggestion to anyone thinking about hiring Attorney Sally L. Rubenzer DON’T DO IT!!! Google her first. (Fox 6 news). You’ll see a picture of her start reading there. I experienced this first hand while I was going through my divorce with Attorney Sally Rubenzer.
I am disabled (Attorney Sally Rubenzer was aware of this fact) Around the end of the divorce, I lost my son from my first marriage. . I don’t recall much of the details of the end of my divorce due to this.
Attorney Sally Rubenzer refused to slowly Proceedings down.
Attorney Sally Rubenzer took me for $20,000. Left me with a debt of my ex husband’s. Attorney Sally Rubenzer was aware of the fact that debt was my ex husband and did nothing to correct the issue. Attorney Sally Rubenzer fought more for my ex husband than she did for me (her client).

Chris represented me in a personal injury claim after a vehicle accident. In the days after the accident the insurance company offered to just pay for expenses and settle. Any person's divorce is one of the worst times of their life! I called approximately 10 divorce lawyers, many of them simply blowing me off or quoting me a ridiculous "flat rate" that I absolutely could NOT afford.
In my mind, my divorce was simple! No property to divide or minor children to deal with. We divided all our property ourselves and had no accounts to split. I simply needed someone to lead me through the paper filing process at a price I could afford. One lawyer had the nerve to say to me, "Lady, no divorce is simple. As soon as you get to court, your husband will change his mind and want it all. That is why I charge a higher rate......to prepare for the future fight you will have". SERIOUSLY?
FINALLY, I talked to Attorney Richard Missimer. He was sympathetic and treated me with respect. He never belittled me. I explained my needs and he told me "exactly" what the process would be and what time spans we were looking at. He NEVER made me feel incompetent and repeatedly told me to ask him any questions I had, no matter how silly they might seem to me. I finally found my savior! He took that heavy load off of me and proceeded to lead me down the process without any fears. When he said he would send an email, the email was there, listing what paperwork was needed on my end to start the proceeding. When he said he would call, he called. When he said we would meet, we met when signatures were needed and the whole process became cut-and-dry!
When the process was complete, there were absolutely no "hidden" charges. He charged me exactly what he quoted me!
I would recommend him to anyone looking for an honest lawyer that truly cares for their needs!

I hired Mr. Parise after I was beaten by Racine PD during a traffic accident. My expectations were very high as I considered him one of the best attorneys in Wisconsin. He did minimal work in my case and charged me higher than other attorney fees. I had pictures and a statement reporting the officers, and Mr. Parise put them back in a folder and said he would look at them later and see what he could do. My case concluded with an unreasonable outcome and I was given close to the max for my case. I didn't hurt myself or anyone, was still considered a misdemeanor and there was no reason for the way I was treated by Racine PD. Completely share the same experience by other reviews that he "shattered my expectations". Never expected this you're of representation from him!

Nevermind that they were living there because their school was in another state and my spouse lived only 15 minutes away, and nevermind that my child visited me often. Karl was being extremely aggressive, making me look bad due to his behaviour, so my child spoke up saying that what Karl was saying was untrue and his anger was misplaced. He dared to say that my kid didn't love me and that they were against me and a bunch that just had my child in tears in seconds trying to say THAT wasn't true now. It hurt our relationship, since my child feared that I believed this man over them for years, and even still has seeds of doubt. He also slammed a door in the face of a family friend who almost got hit with the door. I just wanted a divorce, not all the added stress and someone making my child out to be the bad guy for simply existing. He was horrible to my kid and my ex spouse for no reason, despite us divorcing amicably. Which he knew, but he still treated them like the worst people on earth.

I have come to appreciated that fact over the years after hearing others complain and struggle. Their divorce attorneys did not leave them as well prepared or informed. So even after their divorces they continued to struggle with divorce baggage.

My brother hired this firm to handle his divorce. From the very beginning it was a bad decision. The first hearing was handled by an attorney in their office he had never even spoken to before, the guy showed up minutes before the hearing unprepared causing the need for another hearing. He then showed up at this hearing with all of the documentation needed to fix his original blunder, which by the way my brother paid for by needing to have another hearing which they charged him for. He proceeded thru this hearing and totally forgot to speak on one of the reasons he was there and the judge made her judgement leaving an order in place that should’ve never been. So another hearing was needed which again they charged him for. Time after time throughout the divorce they have dropped the ball, too many to list in this review. Long story shorter he ended up paying them over $30k and had a balance of $4k with an agreement he was paying. They decided to drop him as a client with less than a month to go before the final trial leaving him without an attorney knowing it would cost no less than $10k to get another. I’ve never been around a bigger group of blood sucking vultures in my life.

I had to require her to take my offers to the other side. I was able to do that myself. It was a complete waste of money for me to hire this law firm.
