Our attorney retired and referred us to Ms. MacLellan's firm to handle our estate should something happen to my wife and/or me. We are both am very pleased with her work. She is easy to talk to, and she explains complicated issues in an easy to understand manner. I'm extremely confident that we are in good hands moving forward. Last time we met, we asked her for some advice for our son who is starting the difficult walk through a divorce. She had some very good points for him to consider, and she was even willing to meet with him to give him advice for finding a good attorney where he lives.
My wife and I feel fortunate that we have her helping us set things up so our three sons know exactly how we want things to unfold should something happen to either one of us. I was referred to Robert Bergman to start the heggstad paperwork from another lawyer, as I needed the paperwork done swiftly, they were backlogged and referred me to Mr. Bergman. Bob accomplished the heggstad paperwork tasks very timely and was very helpful from start to finish. I was granted the heggstad and able to add the entirety of assets into my dad’s trust as originally planned. The hard work Bob provided helped tremendously, as there are so many unknowns when dealing with difficult court documents. Mr. Bergman was a kind and helpful estate lawyer and he really understood what I needed and the best way to help me. I recommend him to anyone dealing with any Estate planning issues.

She had numerous properties and complicated dealings, things she was passionate about but none of her children were. Chris to the rescue.
40K in fees to a firm that was supposed to be "The Best in Northern California" with no results led us to him.
Chris is a pit bull. He doesn't let up until he gets what is deserved. He knows procedure. He gets the job done.
Chris is VERY aware of costs and strives for the most cost effective way to get the best result.
His office staff is supportive, knowledgeable and super responsive.
Without Chris we'd still be trying to dig out from under a bogus TRO with a company that does nothing but BILL.
I would not think twice about hiring Chris and his staff again in the future.

My partner and I dropped in to Mr. Wingerden's office this week while seeking counsel for my partner's criminal case. Long story short the SCC sheriff unlawfully arrested my partner (who is a retired criminal) & falsified the police report - quite poorly as a matter of fact (I give him an "F" for effort...) The public defender neither followed up with us nor provided the discovery we on several occasions requested, so 2 days before court we were extremely desperate after leaving the Public Pretender's office as (again) he was nowhere to be found. We dropped by Richard's office where we just so happened to catch him. He wasn't working that day but had stopped by the office briefly. I informed him that we had legal coverage through ARAG offered by my employer, and was hoping he could assist us considering he is a ARAG network attorney. Unfortunately, Richard doesn't handle criminal cases via ARAG anymore (only Family & Estate) but he sat down with us for an hour or so and did a free consultation. He listened patiently and even took notes as my partner recalled the events and facts surrounding his case, and as we voiced our concerns/frustrations. Richard was very easy to talk to and has a personality that makes you feel like you're talking to a friend. I really wanted to sign him on to help us fight our case despite the fact ARAG would not cover it. I explained that I would be getting a large tax return any day now, and would spend it all on him and pay the rest out of pocket. Other attorneys (like the one I hired years ago for a DUI case) would tell me to sign on the dotted line and not think twice about it. Not Richard - he said that he didn't feel that is was right to let us hire him since our financial situation is already a challenge, and he didn't want to take all our money. His compassion extended even further when he told us that despite this, we could call him should we have any questions or need advice at any point in the future for this case or anything else. He did give us some solid advice, which I then did utilize when the Public Pretender called our name 5 minutes before court. I reiterated what Richard had advised, and when my partner was called in front of the judge that day the PD requested a motion that we be presented with the officer's body cam footage. The prosecutor objected, and although the PD could barely fumble a plausible explanation as to why we needed the body cam footage (because you know...who needs all the evidence in a felony matter anyways, right??? Cops NEVER lie!) the judge ultimately granted the motion to get us that footage. Without telling the PD the points Richard advised, he definitely would not have successfully filed this motion and perhaps wouldn't have even tried. If I ever require legal counsel for Family or Estate litigation I will 100% without a doubt give Richard Wingerden a call. THANK YOU RICHARD, don't stop being A ROCKSTAR with a BIG HEART.

I needed a new attorney to handle my estate planning. Although not ultra complex, I needed someone who could handle multiple trusts, carry out specific objectives, udate provisions, and correct some issues created by a former attorney.
I was referred to Victoria Horvatich and Copenbarger and Cooenbarger. After an initial consultation I felt confident that she would be able to handle our families estate planning needs.
Working with her was very easy. She was both responsive and attentive to detail. Setting up appointments and completing documents was easy. She took time to explain everything and helped develop a plan for the tasks I needed to do. Unfortunately, before we were able to complete all of the tasks, the COVID-19 shelter in place went into affect. Government offices were closed yet Victoria continued to work on my case.
Estate planning is never fun, but Victoria was able to make the process manageable and helped me complete a process that I had too long postponed.
