After an unfortunate situation while a period in the EEUU I needed to find an attorney who could take care of a messy situation. A DUI resulted in probation and I needed to complete some DUI education, counseling and community service during the probation year. As a result of the DUI arrest, my VISA was revoked and I had to leave the country for good. Luckily I had enough time to complete the DUI education and counseling before leaving and the judge authorized me to do community service time in my country. When the court day arrived, after a year, I was not able to enter the country, as my VISA was revoked, and I failed to appear in front of the judge. A warrant was issued and complicated even more the situation. My original attorney kept telling me that he could do nothing about this situation and that I needed to be in the country to resolve it, what it was obviously not a possibility.
That is when I contacted David Guy Stevens, from minute 0 he made me feel confident in the process. First at all he informed me that he could represent me in front of the judge without me being present in the country. He took the time to understand the case, he explained to me all possible outcomes and, most importantly, he treated me with sensibility and patience. (Exactly what I needed in such a vulnerable situation). His communication through the process was impeccable, he took care of the case in a timely manner, and the outcome was the best possible, my case was cleared and I potentially will be able to enter again the country for business. I came to the Gil Law Group for a recent closing on my house. In the past I've had terrible experiences with firms and dealing with closings and the whole process in general. Luckily, I came across this firm and they have made me realize how easy and smooth this process can be when you know what you're doing! Ed Gil was my lawyer and if there's one person who has helped more in going through the process of a closing, it's him! He was very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a quick responder. I was looking at 6 months for a dui charge and child endangerment Eduardo recommended that we do a cold plea in front of the judge saying he was a fair judge and usually goes for court supervision on 1st dui cases. I trusted him and thats exactly what the judge gave me.. court supervision! I got to keep my license and my freedom.

Although my case is still pending.. Zach has helped me tremendously with the most craziest requests and questions. Hes always answered every call or replied immediately with a short text he will call right back.. And he always does. Hes on top of everything, and works long and hard for his clients and their kid(s). He is understanding and tells it like it is.. A child custody fight... We worked for a long period of time on a custody hearing. His advice often changed, he said, you can/should do this, then he said later, "You shouldn't have done that."
He does work with you, if you don't owe him too much money. If you have money to spend, he'll spend it and then some.
Could have done better cross examine.
Over all he got the job done as well as anyone.

Bonnie Lee Kunkel was my divorce attorney 21 years ago. I'm still so mad at myself for continuing my services with her. She was so uninvolved with my divorce because she was running for some political office at the time. Not only did I not receive maintenance from my wealthy ex-husband, but child support was so incredibly low as well. She did not fight for me at all. Terrible communication, you're basically on your own trying to figure things out at probably one of the worst times of your life. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

Dragged my case and nothing was resolved with the children and 401K money was spent by my ex. There were no charges against my ex for spending the money. Not only that - the case got dragged for 3 years and the children's situation got worst and nothing was done about it until my ex called the hotline and gave up on the children. Too much money was taken and no positive results.

Mr Funkey did not do what I asked/ordered him to do in my divorce case. He made decisions, on my behalf, without consulting me. He did, for instance, not ask me if I wanted to ask the court for continuances instead of going to trial although I told him up front from our first meeting that I needed the divorce finalized immediately, not for the procedure to be dragged out, which, as it turned out, it was.This, of course, benefitted him financially, not me. I gave him information that could and should have been used to my advantage which he chose not to use. Hence, I would not recommend him.
