When I was referred to Sonila to help me through Chapter 13 bankruptcy, it took me 8 months to call her because I was so afraid to start the process. First, let me tell you that Stephen King, PA is one of, if not the best, law professionals in Harford County, MD. As preceded by other great reviews you will see on Avvo, Mr. King brings a wealth of knowledge and practical application of the law to a variety of situations. What makes his practice so encompassing is his great team which is dedicated to their clients and equally as knowledgeable with ever-changing laws and regulations. Mr. King's paralegals, Valerie and Paula, are meticulous in making sure each case is reviewed and work with clients to provide the best advice and outcome respective to the situation.
In my divorce, my former spouse was very spiteful and used tactics which were not uncommon in contested divorces involving children. Mr. King was adamant in making sure we stayed above board and maintained the high road which ultimately provided for justice in closing out the divorce with facts rather than spite. Equally impressive was Mr. King's handling of criminal affairs in my case which included an in-law who decided to take things into her own hands during the divorce. Again, Mr. King represented me in obtaining the proper protective order and criminal actions which did not fair well for the other side. Mr. King is well versed in the family and criminal matters. Make sure you know what the attorney practices in the majority of the time. Obtaining an Estate Planning attorney who does a majority of their cases in estate planning the past few years may not be as wise as getting someone who is currently practicing family law matters real-time, most of the time. That's like asking a KIA mechanic to work on a Maserati, respectfully. Do the research, trust me it will save you in the long run.
Finally, Mr. King is truthful in not promising unobtainable results, but rather making sure that his clients are part of the process with reasonable solutions. If you are looking for a therapist, while Mr. King would certainly hear you, please make sure you do so alongside your legal process. I say this because Mr. King is very mindful of his client's cost and will make sure and impart that his services are to represent you (which he does without question) but not waste dollars on time not dedicated to the case. I personally found this helpful in understanding that his time and your time are just as important as his other clients, he respects that and will make sure you understand this. Please understand that legal matters, whether civil, criminal, etc can have far-reaching implications that affect you down the road in life. While Mr. King is NOT the highest cost per hour, you as the client and potential defendant and/or plaintiff, need to understand that if you are looking for a Dollar General Attorney you will definitely get Dollar General Results. Again this is not to say Mr. King is costly, in fact, the opposite as his cost is comparable to others, but do yourself a favor and factor in the cost down the road of a poor outcome versus getting it right and done for yourself the first time around. Can't say enough... do your own homework but make sure you give Stephen King a call as part of that homework.

Donald Arnold is the best lawyer I have ever talked with and received help that I needed. Donald Arnold and his office are very caring people. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Arnold after dealing with a prior attorney who just wasn't working out for me.
I researched lawyers and felt that after reviews, Mr.Arnold was an attorney that I was looking for to help me with my parent's Will. I must say, the decision was right!
From the first visit in his office to the last, I was treated most professionally and had things explained with much knowledge in a way I could understand. Communication was open the entire time! There were a few bumpy roads along the way within the Will, but Mr.Arnold and his staff were right on top of things. I could have never accomplished an end to these issues without them. There were a few times when the longer office hours were also much appreciated. I can't say thank you enough to him for taking on this case. It was a little hard to find trust after dealing with the first attorney, however the office of Donald Arnold brought back that trust I needed in an attorney.
I highly recommend his office and will be using him for personal reasons of my own in the near future.

Sam and her team were unbelievable to work with!!! I hired Sam to finalize my divorce and to finally get my ex-husband to pay me child support. Sam fought so hard and finally got my kids the support they deserved. Sam was so sympathetic and caring, but fought hard for us to get the job done!!! Listened to my every concern. Very involved in my case in a professional yet compassionate manner. Hits on all the strong points aggressively but with proper court etiquette. I would highly recommend this lawyer if you want to see results. My case was a very long, difficult and drawn out one; Mr. Donlick saw it thru to the very end. Im retained Laura Bearsch for a divorce and custody case. Laura does not make false promises nor want to "bill you to death" with using your time to run up hourly charges. She lays it all out on the table, is honest, direct and her staff is also great. Everyone I've dealt with there is friendly. I feel like I'm in good hands with Laura, and the entire office. If she says she'll get back to you, she does. When something needs to be dealth with, it's dealt with.

Very unprofessional as he screamed at me in court calling me a bully for representing myself. Adam handled my wife’s case and created unnecessary conflict. I originally retained Kim Fleming who was very professional and a great attorney. Adam and Kim wrote an agreement that my wife and I signed. After signing the agreement I dropped Kim as I no longer needed her services the rest of the process is pretty cut and dry. When I filed for final divorce Adam contested the agreement he had a part in writing. Immediately he filed multiple motions that were unnecessary racking up my ex wife’s fees. I explained to Adam he wasn’t going to take this to court and let a judge know he wrote a fraudulent agreement. He began screaming at me that I don’t tell him what to do. I explained he would loose and look poorly in court. He stretched the divorce out another two years again charging my wife fees for affidavits and motions. One week before our trial Adam withdrew himself leaving her to find another lawyer. During the decision of the trial the judge spent a significant time speaking to how ridiculous it was to contest a fair 50/50 split agreement. Needless to say he did not have the best interest of his client at hand. I’ve known other that have used him and been dissatisfied with his representation and other that he has went against and questioned his integrity. Divorced should be a fair division of assets and split custody of children unless those children are being abused. Adams ethics should be questioned as his practices resemble that of a bully!
