I don't typically leave reviews. However, the team at Traffic Law Counselors have been extremely helpful in regard to handling a speeding ticket. While I have not gotten to the end result yet, they were quick to respond, very professional, and even price matched the attorney fee in my case! My assessment of the Lacey Law Firm is based on years of experience doing business with lawyers and law firms in my position as Managing Partner of CHARTOR Entertainment LLC (www.CHARTORentertainment.com ). My co-Managing Partner, Charles Floyd Johnson, is an attorney as well. 2017 I was introduced to Ron and Mark Lacey by Attorney Nikki Mitchell, Senior Partner in the Law Firm of Mitchell, Brown & Associates, LLC. I retained Nikki Mitchell to handle matters concerning my Aunt and Uncle’s estate. I was the Executor of my Aunt and Uncle’s estate, they lived in St. Louis, MO. Both my Aunt and Uncle had fallen ill and their only daughter (my cousin), with whom they had a difficult relationship, had taken legal action to seize their estate. Mitchell, Brown & Associates specializes in estate and probate law but I also needed to retain a law firm that specialized in civil litigation. The legal challenge from my Aunt and Uncle’s daughter took four years to resolve through Probate Court and civil litigation. My Aunt had Alzheimer’s and my Uncle served as her caretaker and caregiver until he fell ill. Ron and Mark Lacey were professional, tenacious, thorough, meticulous and represented the highest standards of legal expertise in civil litigation. They treated my Aunt and Uncle with the utmost respect, kindness and consideration. For four years, from 2017 until 2021, I traveled constantly from Los Angeles, where I live, to St. Louis for court hearings, depositions, meetings with Ron and Mark Lacey and with Nikki Mitchell, and to spend time with my Aunt and Uncle. Ron and Mark Lacey maintained constant contact with me and visited my Aunt and Uncle to update them on the status of their case. My Uncle died June 2018 and my Aunt died March 2020, but before my Uncle passed away he spoke of his respect and admiration for Ron and Mark Lacey. They successfully prosecuted the civil case against my Aunt and Uncle’s daughter. Ron and Mark Lacey flawlessly executed their due diligence by uncovering fraud, financial malfeasance and elder abuse on the part of my Aunt and Uncle’s daughter. Tony was my divorce attorney. Throughout the process he was very fair-minded and cost conscious. He is not one to fight just to fight, especially if it's a battle you are not likely to win. He appeared to have a good working relationship with the various judges we had, which felt like a good sign to me. Only one small frustration was that, being new to this process, I was often hoping for a little more advice. He will answer your questions but rarely offer an opinion. Regardless it is obvious he is focused on the best possible outcome for his client and client's children. No one ever 'wins' in a divorce, but Tony keeps it a fair as possible. I highly recommend him.

When we started trying to get pregnant we had Dara draw up a contract. Everything seemed fine.
A few weeks before the due date, we attempted to contact Dara to begin the process for my wife adopting our children. Dara was nowhere to be found. We tried calling, emailing and even stopped by her office for at least a month with no response. When she finally contacted us she told us she had been out of town for a death of a family member.
We met with her and had everything ready to go. She promised she was turning everything in the next day and she would update us weekly. Almost a month passed with no word. Once again we emailed and called with no response. After weeks she called and pretended like nothing had happened and proceeded to tell us a signature had been overlooked so nothing was even processed. At that point we decided she would no longer be our lawyer. She gave us our file and our money back. My wife easily could have adopted our kids by the time they were 6 months but because of her we were starting all over at that point.
Please save yourself the trouble and do NOT use her. She lacks professionalism and is unreliable.

I really believed Dara would represent my modification and custody case well. However, I can never get in contact with her to get an update or idea of where my case stands. She let a service deadline expire without having the other party served. I have paid her and yet I still have had to physically go to her her office and sit and wait for her to come out in order to make contact with her as she refuse to return any of my calls and emails. I have wasted time, energy and money in a case that I will now have to completely re start and re pay another attorney. I have literally begged her to call or email me back. I never in a million years would think an educated professional would behave in such a manner.

There is yet another case of this lawyer not responding to calls, not returning calls and not being trustworthy. Our daughter has had to acquire the services of another lawyer after months of delays due to this lawyer not returning calls. To be fair, the case was done but the ex husband was totally non responsive and has failed to act on any of the court orders. To follow up and get resolve has been impossible as this attorney has refused to reply to any calls - even after the Missouri Bar has been involved.
Whatever Dara Strickland has been doing, she has no interest in her law-firm at this point. Do not use her.
