Ryan Lane and his office staff are to be commended. Mr. Lane represented me to modify a divorce regarding child support. I truly experienced justice with him. I told him several different outcomes I wanted as far as child support. He thoroughly explained why some things would I wanted were in line with child support law and why some things wouldn’t be good because they weren’t in line with the law. It is my opinion that this law firm has very aggressive billing practices and rates. When dealing with Chris Archer I mustered together $7,500 that I did not have at the time due to the circumstances of my case and literally being left with nothing but a car and clothes on my back. I did this to try to see my toddler child whom was taken from me and transported across country.
The majority of that $7,500 retainer was used up in what seemed to be a matter of days with absolutely nothing accomplished. I have since used other attorneys and it has taken them months to reach that same $7,500 quota while they did more work and attended multiple hearings.
In hindsight, it’s my opinion, that Chris Archer should have never even taken my case with the legal knowledge that he should possess. Due to the circumstances of my case he was unable to accomplish anything on my behalf and he (in hindsight and in my opinion) should have known as much before accepting the retainer.
When choosing an attorney do not forget that they are not your friends. They are operating a business. The goal is for them to make money and take care of their family (not yours). Someone has to pay for that office in Downtown Columbia. Do your own research and make the best decision for you. You won’t get a second chance.

I'm originally from South Carolina, but I currently live in Georgia. I was in town for my 10 year class reunion and got pulled over for a .08 alcohol level. I called 5 different lawyers and they all quoted me $4000 to $5000 to take on my case. I received a letter from the Laubshire in mail, gave them a call and they jumped right on it. Alyssa is very responsive and kept me informed through the entire process. I also did not have to show up to court because i live out of state which was very convenient being that i have a busy schedule. After 6 long months of waiting, my case was dismissed for lace of evidence. I recommend you call this firm first!

Jessica took my family case without hesitation because she knew that I was being wronged by my ex-wife and her attorney despite me having a run in with the law during the course of the divorce. Just a couple months ago I needed an attorney pronto for a family law case including DSS. I was referred to the Mathews. Foster took my case. Ken represented me during my probable cause hearing and Foster thereafter. I will admit I had very little faith in him and was very concerned I would loose the battle. That’s the only thing I did wrong...was doubt him! That guy is the best attorney known to the court of law! I highly recommend them both! From the looks of these reviews they must’ve caught Brandi on a good day, bc I would never recommend or give my money to someone so rude! She doesn’t know me at all, I’m asking questions about a simple divorce vs. using an attorney and she had an attitude like I did something to her. I literally hung up in her face for being so rude. It’s a shame. Glad I found someone else who let me ask as many questions and walked me through the process.

Don’t trust this lady with the most important things in your life. My divorce, went on for a year and a half. I paid $12k to this Law Firm to do nothing. First mistake the judge will appoint one lawyer to turn in the paperwork for child support. They appointed my lawyer She never turned it in. I Kept calling the courts house to see how much my child support . Then I find out she never turned in the paperwork. Her mistake made me behind $5000. Me and my ex-wife gave my father-in-law $50,000 to buy his company. Which we had 500 shares of stock in the company. Miss Bowen told me that in evidence finding that it was no proof of 500 shares. She kept on giving me the runaround about this. We went to mediator, That Miss Bowen did on zoom while my ex-wife and her lawyer was there. Saying that she had a flat tire but still charge me $3000 dollars for it. While she was never really present leaving the zoom turning her camera off so we couldn’t see her. Nothing got settled. Then the day before the final court date she called me saying that we did have 500 shares, but it was gonna be a problem in court. So I made a bad decision to go with what she advise me to do. But to find out later she was wrong. So I settle out of court to get half the money back from company that I put in. My settlement agreement was $75k. Miss Bowen told me I would receive that money within 3 weeks. It took 3 1/2 months before I got the entire amount. Had to call her and she only send me 25k. She said that the other money was held up in HER bank. 4 weeks went by had to email her she only sent me $20 thousand more. Then another 4 week went by I had to email her again then she sent me another $20 thousand. These went on for months. She did these like it was her money. A couple more things went wrong but I’m running out of room but I think you get the message. REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE.
