My husband and I put off our estate planning for a long time. We didn't know how to find someone we could trust. Thankfully, some friends of ours told us about their experience working with TJ. They felt he was an excellent attorney and had handled their affairs well. We wholeheartedly agree with their assessment!
TJ was very responsive. We initially contacted him through his website and he responded to our inquiry within hours. My husband is a pilot, and it can be difficult to schedule meetings with him. TJ worked within our time constraints and quickly rearranged when needed.
Once we were in our face to face meeting, TJ, and his assistant, Gretchen, listened well, explained thoroughly, and never made us feel inadequate or judged by some of the "off the beaten track" requests we had.
Talking about death and planning your estate can be stressful, but TJ and his staff made it easy. If you are looking for a kind, very knowledgable, no pressure attorney, my husband and I highly recommend contacting and working with Timothy J. Scott.

Tim is an excellent lawyer. He is very knowledgeable and was able to represent me very well during an appeal of my divorce case. Tim was able to work collaboratively with my primary lawyers to get up to speed on my case to save me time and money during the appeal process. Tim's integrity is beyond approach and he helped walk me through each step of the appeals process and what to expect during each step as well as the likely outcome. I appreciate that he didn't make any guarantees and helped explain things to me so that I could make informed decisions.
Although Tim wasn't my primary lawyer for my divorce case, he did such a great job during the appeals process that I can confidently recommend him to handle all aspects of your divorce.

My legal needs involved the most important thing in the whole world to me, my children – so I needed a lawyer whom I could trust. Mr. Lees was recommended to me from a highly regarded source as someone that I could trust, and to my relief this proved correct – I put my trust in the right person. Mr. Lees worked very hard to help me, and because of his help some bad situations were turned around and made better for my son. Without this help my son would have been in a situation that would have been very unhealthy for him. Mr. Lees made a way for my son to be free to live his life the way he was meant to live it – and this meant everything to me.

Tim is an outstanding lawyer. He worked very hard on my case. He was very knowledgeable in all areas of my case. Tim is a compassionate lawyer, who was understanding, caring, and took my case very seriously working very hard on it. I was coming out of a very bad domestic abuse marrriage where I thought I could lose everything. Which would mean losing all the stability that my children had, while going through trauma themselves. I had a head injury, and Tim was so patient, and understanding . He did a great job letting me know what he needed from me. And if I didn’t respond. He would always be persistent, but in a way that was very much appreciated. He did an exceptional job in court each time on my case, and we won. I could not have asked for a better lawyer. I appreciated how Ron educated me on the dissolution process. I appreciated that he understood my desire to come up with the most fair, cost effective legal dissolution possible. He was accessible as a person. He has an excellent paralegal who is timely and attentive in her assistance.
Divorce is a very painful process. Ron was sensitive to that fact given his decades of experience. He provided the excellent legal services I needed which made it as easy as possible. Mr. Ousky represented me as my divorce attorney using a collaborative approach. After 28 years of marriage I was faced with divorce which was a very stressful and mostly an "out of body" experience. Mr. Ousky worked closely with the financial neutral to determine my financial needs were identified. He calmly lead me through the divorce process answering all questions I had and representing me at all times. Professionals often come in 'as needed', do their jobs & at the end of the day take home pay for the work - but they don't always know the lasting benefits they've left behind. That motivates me to post this review - as this is a lawyer who went above and beyond in the care he took with my case. The grounding Greg wisely coached me into set the stage for a solid long-term future after the case was over. He was prescient enough to guide me in a way that he knew would last long after our legal case. I have engaged several business and personal lawyers in years past, but never experienced personal attention like this. I hired Rod Jensen on the recommendation of a friend of mine who had also gone through a divorce. He made a difficult process a lot better by handling the issues in a professional, calm manner. My ex's lawyer was pushing to go to trial (which would have made her a ton of money at our expense), but Rod knew that would be a waste of money in our case. He worked hard for us to settle the case with mediation. His associate is also very professional and pleasant to work with, and very mindful of the details of our case--she caught some important errors in the other lawyer's paperwork! If you are going through a separation or divorce, I cannot recommend Rod highly enough.

I hired this firm because they advertised themselves as one of the top legal practices in the area. However, the attorney assigned to my case, charging $420 per hour, made a significant error in the legal documents she prepared for my case, including an incorrect date. When I brought this to her attention, she responded by stating that I should have caught the mistake before signing the document.
I find this level of negligence unacceptable, particularly from a firm that claims to be among the best. When I confronted the attorney about the error and requested that it be corrected, she insisted it was not her responsibility to catch such mistakes and reiterated that I should have identified the error myself before signing.
As a result of this oversight, my case is now in a much worse position than when I initially sought the firm’s help. I am now pursuing a legal malpractice lawsuit against both the attorney and the firm, and I plan to file a formal complaint with the state bar in an effort to have her license suspended or revoked due to her actions in this family law matter.

My experience with David runs counter to Laurie’s. I went through an amicable divorce recently and from the very first call with him I had concerns about keeping costs down. David kept a detailed log of time and never seemed to ramp up costs. In fact, he discounted a small amount of time because we were starting to exceed our higher cost estimates.
David did a good job of balancing minimum required “lawyer stuff” with watching out for my rights and counseling me on protections I could take.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on divorce lawyer fees, make an effort to get along with your soon-to-be ex... or better yet, don’t neglect your marriage in the first place and stay married.
