When my husband and I decided to get our affairs in order and develop an estate plan we found an amazing attorney, Timothy J. Scott (TJ). From the very first meeting and through the entire process TJ provided answers to our questions and explained the legal terms involved in a revocable living trust. All information discussed was provided in a format for our reference. TJ is extremely easy to talk with and we felt comfortable he listened to our concerns. I hired Rebecca to make changes to my parenting plan that was poorly done due to lack of representation in my final divorce hearing. My ex was taking advantage of the lack of clarity, detail and a parenting schedule. Rebecca was very direct, stern and played hard ball. She kept me informed every step of the way. She fought hard for everything that was in the best interest of my daughter and me. She was available everytime I needed her and had a question or concern. She was great to work with. I was referred to Rebecca by a friend who hired her to assist with divorce and child custody matters. My friend could not say enough about how Rebecca made the entire process so much easier for her and in her words "Rebecca made me stronger and helped me have the backbone to stand up for myself". I took my friend's recommendation and now have worked with Rebecca on two separate occasions to make modifications to my parenting plan and custody agreement. Tim is an excellent lawyer. He is very knowledgeable and was able to represent me very well during an appeal of my divorce case. Tim was able to work collaboratively with my primary lawyers to get up to speed on my case to save me time and money during the appeal process. Tim's integrity is beyond approach and he helped walk me through each step of the appeals process and what to expect during each step as well as the likely outcome. I appreciate that he didn't make any guarantees and helped explain things to me so that I could make informed decisions.
Although Tim wasn't my primary lawyer for my divorce case, he did such a great job during the appeals process that I can confidently recommend him to handle all aspects of your divorce.

My legal needs involved the most important thing in the whole world to me, my children – so I needed a lawyer whom I could trust. Mr. Lees was recommended to me from a highly regarded source as someone that I could trust, and to my relief this proved correct – I put my trust in the right person. Mr. Lees worked very hard to help me, and because of his help some bad situations were turned around and made better for my son. Tim is an outstanding lawyer. He worked very hard on my case. He was very knowledgeable in all areas of my case. Tim is a compassionate lawyer, who was understanding, caring, and took my case very seriously working very hard on it. I was coming out of a very bad domestic abuse marrriage where I thought I could lose everything. Which would mean losing all the stability that my children had, while going through trauma themselves. I had a head injury, and Tim was so patient, and understanding . He did a great job letting me know what he needed from me. And if I didn’t respond. He would always be persistent, but in a way that was very much appreciated. He did an exceptional job in court each time on my case, and we won. I could not have asked for a better lawyer. I appreciated how Ron educated me on the dissolution process. I appreciated that he understood my desire to come up with the most fair, cost effective legal dissolution possible. He was accessible as a person. He has an excellent paralegal who is timely and attentive in her assistance.
Divorce is a very painful process. Ron was sensitive to that fact given his decades of experience. He provided the excellent legal services I needed which made it as easy as possible. I have recommended Ron to others and will continue to do so, if the opportunity presents itself. I was so grateful that a friend referred me to Ron. Mr. Ousky represented me as my divorce attorney using a collaborative approach. After 28 years of marriage I was faced with divorce which was a very stressful and mostly an "out of body" experience. Mr. Ousky worked closely with the financial neutral to determine my financial needs were identified. He calmly lead me through the divorce process answering all questions I had and representing me at all times. I would strongly recommend Greg Bittle to anyone seeking a legal 'champion'. Extremely thankful for his guidance and professionalism. It was a real gift above and beyond his legal acumen how Greg was able to keep me even-keeled, ethical, and focused during an extremely emotional time / case.
Professionals often come in 'as needed', do their jobs & at the end of the day take home pay for the work - but they don't always know the lasting benefits they've left behind. That motivates me to post this review - as this is a lawyer who went above and beyond in the care he took with my case. The grounding Greg wisely coached me into set the stage for a solid long-term future after the case was over. He was prescient enough to guide me in a way that he knew would last long after our legal case. I have engaged several business and personal lawyers in years past, but never experienced personal attention like this. Richard is all about the money and directs his clients to go against court orders which could put you at risk of getting in trouble with the courts. He will lie to proof his case and cover up his lies. Instead of being an honest lawyer and directing his clients to do what is right, he rather make families suffer to benefit himself. I would go with a lawyer who is going to be open, honest and at least TRY to keep things civil for the sake of ALL who is involved. He loves the drama and any lawyer who loves to make things worse for his clients and all who are involved (even children) should not be lawyer. He would rather destroy in innocent father than help resolve civil matters the right way.

He lacks communication skills, and attention to detail. Every form he worked on had multiple errors, for months. He would make the same error multiple times. He failed to extrapolate key information from our communications which cost me more money when he came asking about it later. He did not communicate by phone but forced everything via email and struggled to explain things in ley terms. He lacked confidence and decisiveness in front of the judge and appeared wholly incompetent.

After 7 consultations from aggressive lawyers, I answered a return call from Page who's first question was how I was handling my situation rather than selling how she would win my case. I hired Rod Jensen on the recommendation of a friend of mine who had also gone through a divorce. He made a difficult process a lot better by handling the issues in a professional, calm manner. My ex's lawyer was pushing to go to trial (which would have made her a ton of money at our expense), but Rod knew that would be a waste of money in our case. He worked hard for us to settle the case with mediation. His associate is also very professional and pleasant to work with, and very mindful of the details of our case--she caught some important errors in the other lawyer's paperwork! If you are going through a separation or divorce, I cannot recommend Rod highly enough.

My experience with David runs counter to Laurie’s. I went through an amicable divorce recently and from the very first call with him I had concerns about keeping costs down. David kept a detailed log of time and never seemed to ramp up costs. In fact, he discounted a small amount of time because we were starting to exceed our higher cost estimates.
David did a good job of balancing minimum required “lawyer stuff” with watching out for my rights and counseling me on protections I could take.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on divorce lawyer fees, make an effort to get along with your soon-to-be ex... or better yet, don’t neglect your marriage in the first place and stay married.

The great thing about Tim Simonson is he really only works in one area of the law which is child custody and because of this has a fair amount of knowledge and skills in this area and a good amount of passion for his work.
He is approachable, professional, and I only gave him four (out of five) stars since I think he needs another decade to be top notch in this field and the work he did for me was good but not exceptional.

Does Tim explain it calmly to you so you can feel confident in the next step of your case? Check
Does Tim keep his emotions in check so that he can work on the case to the best of his abilities? Check
Things to look for in a lawyer is being comfortable around them which is easy around Tim. A clear structure of payments due which is broken down per bill. Plenty of communication and availability which is what you will get from Tim. I can call Tim right now and fully expect he'd pick up the phone. In the off chance he's already with a client I'll get a call back within the hour. He's awesome.
Heck our Judge had no idea what they were doing and was making the wrong calls according to the law. A lesser lawyer would have LOST that case and my family would be split right now in two different states. Tim set that Judge straight. Think about that. That Judge has to have a Giant sized Ego at this point and the last thing on earth they want to do is admit they were wrong. That's quite the uphill battle but we're all together here because he was up to the challenge.
The internet can be a negative place sometimes. Go look at the "Yelp" reviews for your favorite restaurant. Search by rating then hit it again to get the lowest ratings first....go ahead...I'll wait. Back, good. Notice how many people HATE your favorite restaurant, sad isn't it. Which is why you can't use online reviews for anything, even this one. You have to go do this in person. Go meet with Tim and you'll be happy you did.

Marc Beyer had the knowledge and experience I needed to complete my divorce. There was a fair amount at stake here and he was able to make the divorce process smooth and successful. Linda Wray is phenomenal, and even that is an understatement. Her professionalism, incredible knowledge, and responsiveness while still being understanding and a compassionate advocate through what are some of the most difficult and challenging times are what makes her the incredible lawyer you want. Linda looks at the big picture. She's completely buttoned up and goes to bat 1000% in challenging the other party. But she does it in the right way, on the things that matter, so that the process doesn't devolve. Her true goal is to avoid courtroom litigation for her client due to the emotional and monetary costs involved. But she is a rock star in front of the judge when there is no other recourse. Be ready for Linda to appropriately challenge you as her client, too -- and you want that, trust me. Divorces can and will get emotional, especially difficult ones. Emotions can cloud a party's best judgement on how to proceed, what to do and how to act, and Linda will appropriately counsel her client on the bigger picture and with an eye on what is in the best interest of you as her client and your ROI in order to keep the process from getting mired in senseless difficulties. This can be difficult to hear at times due to emotions, but is the right approach and truly in your best interest. You can be certain Linda will be your lawyer, your advocate, she'll listen, she'll challenge, she'll hit hard when hitting hard is needed, and she'll get you the best outcome that you deserve through certainly one of the most difficult times you will ever face. Comes across as strong, confident and is convincing, but she wanted to move through the critical parts of the case ASAP and didn't seem to put much thought into what was in my best interest. In hind-sight I know I could have fared much better at the end of the divorce and ultimately my kids and I have a lower standard of living because of her lack of caring. I expected much better service for the price.

I retained Niecie M Strand after having 2 previous lawyers in my high conflict divorce. I wish I had retained Niecie right from the start, for she was given a tough situation with a lot to cover in a short amont of time. She went to work, and work she did. There were several times when Niecie and myself would be on the phone discussing my divorce, and she would have an email sent out to me, the Judge and the Petitoner’s side, ready to review, before we got off the phone. I know that sounds unrealistic but it the truth or close to it. She is Sharp, and on top of it in mediation, court or any situation that came up. Niecie also has the ability to negotiate hard on your behave, she’s not just a middle man. She is tough, Gritty, and will go to bat for you. Not only did my fiancé not get what he wanted! But they clearly seem to favor the opposing side! And to think we paid 3,000 up front for what ?! He didn’t even get what he wanted. And they’re asking for an additional 900$, do not go with Cordell! Was not worth it only thing that can happen is if they can actually give my fiancé his money worth! Doubt that’ll happen though.
