Mr. Speck assisted me in handling my brother's DUI cases, which involved a couple of legal issues. Very unprofessional and unethical. He went away on a trip and did not contact me when he returned. I had reach out to him to follow up about preparing for court. He reviewed the documents a couple of days before the hearing. On the eve of the hearing he said that he wouldn’t represent me and had me sign a substitution of attorney. He told me that he never wanted my case to begin with but that I kept going back. I had to appear the next day at court by myself and ask for an adjournment because I needed time to look for another attorney.

as i was married for 15+ yrs i anticipated the divorce process to be much lengthier and more stressful as that is the experience my divorced friends and relatives have had in the past.
that was the opposite at fradkin law due to the small office atmosphere. things are not "dragged out" and there is a commitment to quality other firms sorely lack.
i attribute much of the speed and ease to ed's paralegal Amy. she handled all matters with expertise, swiftness, and i was never made to feel as if I was a bother (there were weeks i had to call her daily). she extended emotional reassurance every step of the way from day 1 to finalization which meant the world.

I was accused and had 4 charges including (2) 1st degree charges. I met Barry and not that often I meet someone and immediately feel like he has been family already. Barry handled my civil case in Family court ultimately with a win. This is the first time, hopefully the only time, I've ever been involved in a legal matter against me so personally this was an emotional and scary time for me. Mr. Carmano was recommended to me through a friend of a friend. Mr. Carmano helped that client with his multiple DUI charges. He was able to lessen his suspension time by months. I had a DUI case and was facing 6 months of suspension and a ton surcharges and fees. With Mr. Carmano's years of experience and knowledge of the law he was able to file a motion, that I was pulled over for unjustified reasons. I have no record and had never been arrested before prior to this incident. Needless, to say his motion was accepted by the judge and my case was completely DISMISSED!! No DUI no surcharges no tickets no fees. Just a lesson learned! He also has a pleasant and informative secretary that will call you and email you to update you on your court dates. Overall, Mr Carmano is GREAT!! He is updated with the newest laws and is really there to help you. He is also easy to talk too and patient when explaining exactly what is going on in your case. I made the difficult decision to move on from my original divorce attorney at another firm as there was little progress and called Bari Weinberger who connected me with Robyn Howlett in the Freehold office. Within just a few months Robyn was able to make a breakthrough with my ex-wife's attorney andbring the case to a close. Without Robyn's persistence and direct approach, as well as her kindness and empathy for both sides, I'm almost certain the case would still be ongoing. After it was resolved Bari herself took the time to call me and see how I was doing. I should have hired Counselor Michael right away. But after firing my previous lawyer, I made a very good choice by using Michael Guntenski Esquire as my divorce lawyer. He is a leader in the profession who is generous with his time.
Mike is a compassionate advocate and an experienced litigator and made sure I got what I wanted in my settlement as my divorce was rough and could have been a lot more difficult had it not been for Mike. He arrived for every appearance on time and prepared. He continually kept up with the opposing attorney, repeatedly negotiating on my behalf.

Experiencing a divorce is not really something you plan for, especially after having children with someone. It can be an incredibly overwhelming, emotional, and confusing time. It was for me. Having said that, there are steps you can take to help ease the fear of the process. One of the steps, and in my opinion probably the most important, is hiring the "right" divorce lawyer. I wanted someone who really took the time to understand me and my children. I didn't want to be treated like any other client with a failed marriage. It was my life and it felt like it was falling apart. I needed compassion and direction. I needed someone who above all else would put my children first no matter how angry I got at my former husband.
Bottom line, I wanted a lawyer who genuinely cared. Michael Gunteski was exactly who I needed. His unwavering resolve to protecting my children was like nothing I could have hoped for. He guided me through one of the hardest times in my life with patience and dedication to doing what was right for my family and our future. My judgment was at times clouded by anger, fear, and frustration. Michael continuously reassured me that my children and I would be protected and that I would rebuild my life again. His expertise and knowledge of family law was impressive but his open-hearted approach to understanding what I was feeling was most remarkable.

This person was my lawyer years ago in a divorce, and advised me to agree to give a percentage of my pension as part of the settlement. I will likely have 40+ years when I retire, and was married to a horrible person for 10 years. Thanks to Lis aMaglone this horrible person will now get a sizable percentage of my pension. If only the internet was availale back then. I could have researched this myself, and I never would have made such a horrible decision.
