Out of all of the consultations I’ve had and the painful search that I endured to find someone who understood my situation — Elika Stimpson made it all fade away. I’ve never met someone so kind and caring in her position. She handled my case with such class and professionalism! She explained everything to me in a way that any non-lawyer would understand and she made sure that I knew the situation I was in was not my fault nor was it allowed. I was very worried that I would have to settle for a lawyer that didn’t hear me out or defend me to their best ability, and that was not once an issue with her. My son entered this with so much fear, because he didn’t know his rights as a father. After some research, I scheduled the consultation, we met with Ms Alishia and I knew immediately that she was my son’s lawyer. Ms Alishia was patient with us, thoroughly explained his rights as a father, answered all of our questions and listened to us vent and express our concerns. She was very informative and always professional, even at times when we became impatient. There was never a day or time that we couldn’t contact and communicate with her, she was always available and gave her undivided attention to the case. My son felt heard!
I am truly grateful to Ms Alishia for her knowledge and expertise and highly recommend her services. In the end my son was granted all of his requests. Through out this process she kept saying “Just stay the course!” I’m so thankful that we did.

Alishia did an amazing job. She came onto my case in the midst of chaos and never made me feel like a burden. She helped me through a family law case that began in December of 2022 until May of 2024. (She came on in October 2023) She was able to find a common ground for an agreement with opposing counsel without having to go through the trouble of a trial all while keeping my best interest at hand . She didn’t just listen to me but she HEARD me.
She is reliable, realistic, and willing to put in the work needed to get the job well done!
If I ever need counsel again she will always be my go to.

Mr. Jacobson has worked on my dissolution of marriage case. During the whole process Justin showed patience, he was always available or returning my calls shortly, provided great advices and consultaion. I had a post-divorce matter arise because of the incompetence of the lawyer who handled my divorce. I reached out to Sabina and was desperate at the time because my ex-husband totally disregarded our settlement agreement. Sabina was patient and kind, but also ready to fight on my behalf. I was bereft and Sabina took the time to explain to me the issues with my settlement agreement, what issues we could reasonably litigate, and which ones I would have to accept were not enforceable. The not enforceable parts were because I got duped into thinking I did not need an attorney for my divorce in the first place because my ex-husband and I were "amicable."
I honestly felt like Sabina and her entire team took my case personally as though it was happening to them, and I know this is the way Sabina approaches all of her cases/clients. Sabina is a fighter for justice for her clients. I felt heard, supported, and I knew I was in expert hands. Sabina is a vigorous advocate, a fighter for justice, is laser sharp with the ability to identify critical issues that left me financially liable that were missed in my divorce. I never would have known without her help but it could have been avoided if I retained her to handle my divorce in the first place! Most importantly, Sabina does not give up. If she isn't sure of something, she will research it. I really appreciated everything she did for me.
Another important consideration in retaining an attorney is that Sabina was not going to let me spend thousands of dollars on issues that could not be litigated. I needed that perspective and guidance, like most clients do in divorce/post-dissolution proceedings, because we are emotional rather than logical. It was hard to swallow at times but I trusted her and her expertise implicitly. She was correct 10/10 times.
The take home message is YES you DO NEED your own lawyer in every divorce, no matter how "amicable" you think it is, and
Sabina IS the lawyer you need. Don't let the other side retain her; get there first!
I should share that I work in the legal field as an expert witness so I work with a LOT of attorneys. Most attorneys are mediocre, at best. A lot are simply horrible. There are precious few Sabina's out there and I am so grateful I found her and that she took my case.

I had a consultation with Sabina today and I would say that she is not only a knowledgeable lawyer, but also a very understanding and responsive person. This firm is more than just your average, run of the mill firm. Our child support/paternity case was extremely complicated, having already been settled in North Carolina court in our favor with prejudice. A move to the state of Florida instigated the opposing party to reopen the case, making the circumstances a bit more difficult and harder to navigate. When the lines of justice were unclear, Ms. Cucinella researched and dug until an answer was found or a comparable case was located that could be evidenced in court.
While no one could ever be certain of the outcome when it comes to court matters, my Husband and I were extremely confident and beyond comfortable in the effort that the entire team put into our case.
Ms. Stephanie Mack represented us on the day of court and the outcome couldn’t have been better.

We, (my family & me) found ourselves embroiled in a nasty dispute with a local neighbor in a very rural neighborhood. We purchased almost 24 acres more than 17 years ago to escape the confines of HOA' rules and regulations and nosy neighbors. We are ardent second amendment supporters, and we like our ATV's and Dirt Bikes. Hence, we bought enough property so we could enjoy our type of lifestyle. After more 16 years of doing just this without any interference, newcomers to the neighborhood moved in across the street and abruptly advised us that both our dirt bikes and guns were disturbing them and we needed to cease and desist our lifestyle. Footnote: We keep our property in pristine condition. This culminated in the neighbors calling the Marion County Sheriff's Office on us virtually every time we shoot our guns (more than 20 times). Notwithstanding, their property is more than 1700 feet or 3 full football fields away from where we shoot and in the opposite direction. This ultimately resulted in a repeat violence and stalking allegations filed against us in court.
We hired Mr. Brad Willard as our attorney. Where do I begin?
1. Attentive 2. Talented 3. Available on a moment’s notice 4. Detailed oriented. 5. He listens to you.
But more than all of that, he literally destroyed our neighbor’s testimony. I mean DESTROYED our neighbor when he got him on the witness stand. He exposed his lies, his made-up stories, and exposed him for exactly what he was trying to do. Our neighbor tried bringing New York City values and gun laws to rural Marion County. Mr. Willard protected us from him and those restrictions and for that we are most grateful to him and his law firm. Highly respected and highly recommend. Mr. Willard is a true skilled trial attorney and brings a wealth of experience to his clients. I would not like to be on the other side of him in a court room!

First, the most paramount part of a case is not the lawyer but being honest with your story and having the evidence to support it. If you go in wanting any lawyer to fight for something based off anger and vengeance, don’t get mad at them if they don’t win.
Mr. Marraffino and his team are ethical and compassionate. They will be straight forward with you and can assist you better if you are straight forward with them. I would suggest them to anyone I know in the area going through a family case, custody battle or divorce. After researching many other lawyers in the area we chose him based off of his years of experience in family law and his great reviews. After our first meeting with him and his team we felt confident in our choice.
During the 16 month arduous Custody and Divorce case they spent countless hours listening to our story, keeping notes and records, following up with us, taking tearful phone calls and they never backed down from the challenges presented to them. Overall, we felt seen, heard and supported by the team and never like it was just about a paycheck. They truly cared about the well being of the children and it was of much comfort knowing we all were fighting for the same thing. In the middle of the process we had questions and called the office in Gainsville, Megan answered the phone very rude and said she couldn't help us and hung up immediately, shortly afterwards we called again and she continued saying that she could not help us without giving us space to explain, the services were paid for by our legal plan and not obtained.

Extremely poor communication. Seem to only prioritize cases that make the most money. Had a much larger case last year and the communication was okay. This year is something smaller but we haven't had a status in two months despite two emails to them. Would not recommend. Maybe they're overbooked but you would never know because you rarely hear from them.
UPDATE 7/30:
Two emails later, we have still heard NOTHING from the office. They incorrectly filed our original paperwork and even asked for the same paperwork we submitted to them. Updating to one star. Do not recommend. The communication is non existent.

In September 2023 my daughter hired Tracey Carlisle to file a petition to modify the time-sharing agreement in place; request child support and file a motion for contempt of the court order agreement between her and the father of their child. Tracey accepted the case; a downpayment of $1500 towards her $3K retainer! Seven months have expired, and Ms. Carlisle has failed to meet any expectation as agreed upon. From 2004 thru 2020 there have been several small claims filed against Tracey Carlisle, as well as a long list of poor reviews on numerous sites. Despite the individual outcomes, the claimants share a common denominator…the pattern of continual abuse and neglect is apparent. Neglecting scheduled meeting attendance and failing to advise or obtain consent (unilateral decision-making) from her client to reschedule critical hearings; Inappropriate language usage towards client; Demanding correspondence be limited to emails or texts; Errors in legal documentation – my daughter had to make multiple revisions on Tracey’s petition for contempt court - clearly showing incompetence and lack of consideration for her client; Demanding her clients do the “legwork” in obtaining documentation, she or her useless paralegal could have easily gathered; Non-Disclosure of Conflict of Interest and Representation Despite Known Conflict of Interests; Violating confidentiality via email with a third party. Note: A fundamental principle in the client-lawyer relationship is that, in the absence of the client's informed consent, the lawyer must not reveal information relating to the representation.
In short, if you need a competent attorney who is “not” all about taking your money and failing exponentially, stay clear of Tracey Carlisle and call the Florida Bar Association at 850-561-5600; they will provide you with referral for exemplary attorneys in your area.

I hired Tracy back in September 2023 regarding a modification of time sharing, child support and contempt against my abusive ex. It is now May 2024 and not one thing has been done to save my child from her abusive father. I had a hearing in April 2024 and I was the only person to appear. You can only imagine how defeated I felt. I had to take the rest of the week off of work because she had completely destroyed my mental state as she knows I am a domestic abuse survivor and has continuously FAILED ME. I had to find out from the mediator that Tracey had agreed to extend this hearing for another 3 MONTHS. Tracey failed to even mention that she had extended this hearing. I had to be the one to confront her about this and she stated she had “called and left me a voicemail” 2 weeks prior. I checked my call log, voicemail box and emails on this date and there was NOTHING from her. Not only did she flat out LIE to her own client, she has raised her voice at me as I expressed my concerns about never being able to get ahold of her, her paralegal telling me I couldn’t speak to Tracey for 2 weeks at a time. Tracey made me feel like I worked for her and gave me “homework”. Running around town finding documents and updating her on things that she could do herself. So much more in between I can’t even imagine express. Tracey has not given me a drop of helpful advice, no guidance in any way shape or form and continued to take money out of my account after I was forced to hire a new lawyer. She expects me to continuously pay her when she’s no longer my lawyer? If you’re that money hungry, just say that Tracey. Tracey is completely untrustworthy and unreliable and should have her license taken away as she hurts people that are desperate for help. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. RUN. Tracey if you’re reading this - I hope you can prove this “voicemail” you left me as I will be filing a lawsuit against you. If you can lie about something that simple, I can’t imagine all of the other lies you have told me. I truly pray that you find God.

I had her represent me in a divorce case. We had an agreement of $7500 retainer until she did the discovery and found out I could afford much more. Then hours started to accumulate.
We end up in court and she choked. For all the hours I laid her reviewing the QA in court, she gets there and forgets everything. At times opposing council laughed at her. I was forced to settle because I was going to lose big. My court was a 4 days long and on day two she realized her under performance and told me via phone and text I have to come to court the next day with an $80,000 check or she will ask the judge to get off my case. She got paid. To this point I was never late for a payment and the escrow account per agreement was always at $7500 on the start of the month. She couldn’t even justify the need for that much money other than she said she needed it for the hours she will putting in for the court. Where in the world do you have to pay for hours not yet logged?
I didn’t know any better then, but I’m now in process of complaining to the Bar for this misconduct. I hope they disbar her. She screwed my trial royally. I could have performed better than her and I’m not even a lawyer. At least I would remember to cross question the opposing witnesses. Don’t make the same mistake I did and get an informed lawyer.

She was very fair with how she charged for her time, but did thorough research and, despite our unusual case, came to litigation ready with strong case law.
