What a blessing it was working with Ms. Karen McGuire! I went through an extremely difficult divorce involving children. It was heartbreaking trying to navigate shielding them from a narcissistic abusive partner. Needless to say, Karen was always there for whatever the children or I needed. I was very scared and confused but took the time to interview a few attorneys. As soon as I met Nina I felt that I had found a great attorney that I could rely on. Just from the consultation I thought that Nina was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience. Just as important to me was that I could tell that Nina truly cared about her clients. The real proof came when we had a conference with my husband, his attorney, me and Nina. Before that conference, my husband was very angry and told me that his attorney told him that this would be a drag out fight. Nina out performed my husband’s lawyer during the conference. During the conference Nina even impressed my husband! She did her homework: she had all of the information regarding our finances and presented the reasons and law for the offer she had put together. She was so confident and convincing that after the conference, my husband questioned the advice his attorney gave him and we ended up settling on terms which were very good for me and our kids. Our agreement was fair to everyone and neither I nor my husband spent a ton of money. I highly recommend Nina. She gives on target, practical advice and got my divorce done quickly.

My Divorce was a real life test for me, over 4 years ago. Fred and his staff was an awesome team. They were professional, dependable and very trustworthy. Fred had a calm and stable personality. However he was no pushover in the courtroom.
He also was a great example for me as I went through a long painful divorce. Staying positive, focused and remaining calm is just a few examples that Fred set before me. There are too many to name.

Divorce is a very painful process, both emotioanlly and financially. Fred and his staff were always there for me in the years of proceeding, supporting me in all aspects, and afterward as well. It’s very difficult to walk a straight line in the grinder, but honestly, Fred’s ethical, rational and experienced advises, occasionally, over my bitterness and objections, kept me from losing sight of what’s at stake. Fred is personable, experienced, with a patience and humility that one could say like a teddy bear. But not be mistaken, he’s no pushover in the courtroom or negotiations. He knew what’s on the line. He fought hard and got me my kids and my house. Even if he didn’t, I would and should still be grateful. There is a precious gift in suffering if you open your eyes. Thank you, Fred.

I wish there was a 6th star to add to this review for Mr. Peter Groffmann. NOT ONLY is he an amazing attorney, but he is a kind human. Mr. Groffman has handled two traffic incidents for me, both were frivolous attempts at a money grab against a driver who in 30 years of driving hasn't had so much as parking ticket. Mr. Groffman recognized this, saw the flaws in these tickets and followed through to get them reduced and/or dismissed. He is EXCELLENT.
HOWEVER, I know that fighting tickets isn't all he does. The firm specializes in Estate planning & administration and I can only imagine that he is PHENOMINAL at that as well.
I know this because when you are talking to him, it's like talking to an actual human being. Peter is a kind person, he doesn't talk down to you, and although his knowledge of the law of course FAR supercedes the client, he listens in a way that is compassionate and caring.
Once I have the time, he will be my go to for estate planning, which I imagine can be a delicate and sensitive topic to discuss.
Heck, I can only imagine that sharing your final wishes with an attorney can be an emotional thing to do. You are literally discussing your choices to be carried out after death with a stranger. I KNOW in my heart that Mr. Groffmann handles each client with kindness & a warm heart, because that's who he is. And although I can't speak personally about his estate planning skills as an attorney b/c that would be disengenious, I can tell you that when you step in a room with him, or even speak on the phone, you just know you're in good hands. I think it takes about 10 seconds to recognize a good human being, and it may even take less once you meet Peter.
DO NOT HESITATE if you're selecting your attorney for this delicate matter, to call him. I don't know what other legal services his office covers, but I can guarantee you that if you put your trust and faith in Mr. Groffmann's hands, you will not be disappointed. Thats a 6 star guarantee.
Thanks Peter! You are truly an amazing attorney & dare I say, an even better human. Which if anyone has had experience with other attorneys, you cannot always hold both their ability AND their character as equally high, but with Mr. Groffmann you certainly can give him 6 stars for both.

If you want someone to screw you out your monies go to her I dealt with deformation and she sat there and allowed it everything I asked of her I get told wait for ops to expire guess what when ops expire she told me to do it myself no less the courts went to me the case is closed. I still don’t have my belongings and stuff I told her my sister’s manipulation of mom and sister’s intentions and guess what all my gut feeling no less proof was correct. Her going you don’t want to go to trial you’ll be embarrassed save your pride well I too when I could I contacted my nieces legal aid also had a nice chat she wasn’t thrilled my sister played her daughter a child I took care of since she was a infant to teens that live with me and mom on to hurt me I filled out a foil with family and children services found out even more lies told to me untrue. Thanks to a honest staff. At headquarters of family and children services telling me fill out a foil immediately. And after that year too my mother has had a fall and surgery and my sister walked just like she did when I lived there. Gosh on top my sister made sure other stuff was false all papers Natasha didn’t share with me just helped them scare me more and go I am happy you got your own place and move on with your life while my sister hovers over mom and controls her gains moms house when mom dies but while mom alive mom paying for all the food, the house costs as well the yard work even a electrical

Natasha you knew the lies etc gosh even I had audio proof to clear my name no less the first police report and others could been fought since I lived in that house 7 months after first time sister attacked me and flipped the storyline to accuse me no one would have someone live in there home for 7 month after that accusation no less order the person to stay home with them the person would have been removed immediately and Natasha you know it. I would think after all this time you’d make things right for me I was even told no attorney charges a retainer fee for each op so you did more then lie you scammed me and even communication between you and other attorneys you pulled out my file on top she love canceling your appts with her last minute like 5 minutes prior so for me to drive in pain to my sister in law taking time off work to go with me lost her wages for that time to never available on the phone it is a tag game so she could charge me for the office to take the call for her then she get back when fits her to cause her staff would know nothing. I am putting it on here to arm people she destroys your life with those doing perjury. Mrs Mangan roots for the client , believes in them, listens to and makes each and every issue they have a priority. For over a year Mrs. Mangan has fought for me with the agony and the continuing court battles with my ex-husband. I was referred to Mr. Wand by a family friend a couple of years ago as I was seeking Sole Legal custody of my grand nephew. A couple of months later I was awarded custody of the child. Recently I again, contacted Mr. Wand to find out if he would handle an adoption as I now was seeking to petition the court for adoption. Mr. Wand and his staff were professional, compassionate and sympathetic and always available to answer any concerns I was having through the process. Again, a few months later the Adoption decree was signed by the Judge. I am forever grateful to Mr. Wand and his staff for the outstanding job.

"Location, location, location,” that’s IT in real estate…Hiring a divorce attorney? The three rules are experience, experience, experience…
Experience – the knowledge of marital law, especially in your jurisdiction, and how to apply it. Experience – knowing how to deal with every circumstance, whether it’s standard procedure, or something from left field. Experience – the “people skills” to corral even the wackiest behavior of opponents (or clients!).
After years of marital un-rest, the divorce papers finally materialized and I was determined to hire the best. Mercifully, there were no custody matters; financial issues dominated the agenda – a hefty inheritance, pension awards, health and other insurances, plus the usual perks of a mid-life, well-lived: A modest investment portfolio, a home on the beach on Long Island, a house in the country, a boat, luxury cars, and the gem, a one-bedroom, pied-à-terre apartment in the heart of NYC’s Greenwich Village.
My wife opted to re-hire a general-purpose attorney she had used is a previous low-budget divorce. Big mistake. Carl Wand, Esq. was the 1998 Yankees vs. a Triple-A, team. More than once, after a conference or appearance in court, Wand came to me saying “this guy doesn’t know this,” or “he’s overlooked such-and-such.” My wife’s counsel was simply over-matched. Put bluntly, Carl and his team ‘hammered’ the opposition. In the end, both parties got what was coming to them, but to even a casual observer, I was the “winner.” (assuming there’s any WINNER in a divorce…)
When hiring counsel, I cannot overstate the value of an efficient, responsive, support staff. As with any legal proceeding, there were lots of phone calls, emails, etc. But Wand and Goody is different…kind of old-school. My calls to the office were always answered by a REAL person. Not some intern or receptionist, but an informed staffer that expedited a resolution to my concerns. In fact, my calls were usually routed immediately to Mr. Wand’s personal assistant. In these days of voice mails, e-mails, text messages, and endless phone-trees, I find this remarkable and reassuring.
A final note: After an equitable split on the sale of the L.I. home, and a few dollars exchanged, I ended-up with free-and-clear-ownership of the Greenwich Village apartment. To any New Yorker, that’s a win-win.

Lynn was hired for trial in a case in which my son was ordered back to the state of New York 3 times. My ex took off with my son to another state. I personally didn't start having issues with my case until I hired lynn, she's very mouthy, as she told me, she goes to bars with judge porter, she worked with judge porter during covid when she was clerking. The problem here is judge porter allowed a woman to establish residency with a child in another state after 9 months.
When my son was ordered back here. I spoke to lynn about how she had to be arrested for fleeing the state with a child without reason, she paused, I honestly felt she was playing all sides. She's a big talker, not a real doer, I had my rights maliciously violated by lynns buddy judge porter, and she stood ideally by and allowed my ex to establish residency in another state, definitely part of the problem and corruption in suffolk county

In my profession, as a musician, I hire solely on recommendations. Ms. Goody came highly recommended for my divorce. If you want someone to screw you out your monies go to her I dealt with deformation and she sat there and allowed it everything I asked of her I get told wait for ops to expire guess what when ops expire she told me to do it myself no less the courts went to me the case is closed. I still don’t have my belongings and stuff I told her my sister’s manipulation of mom and sister’s intentions and guess what all my gut feeling no less proof was correct. Her going you don’t want to go to trial you’ll be embarrassed save your pride well I too when I could I contacted my nieces legal aid also had a nice chat she wasn’t thrilled my sister played her daughter a child I took care of since she was a infant to teens that live with me and mom on to hurt me I filled out a foil with family and children services found out even more lies told to me untrue. Thanks to a honest staff. At headquarters of family and children services telling me fill out a foil immediately. And after that year too my mother has had a fall and surgery and my sister walked just like she did when I lived there. Like her saying the legal aid for my niece wants and doesn’t say all but see doesn’t even play the proof to the child’s legal aid that the kids needs help but Natasha does go to me something wrong with my sister year to call me crap since she pregnant with her child but leaves me caring no less for the child but the child to live with me 24/7 for me to take child out for me to have calls that she needs me to help the child’s doctor with medical cause I use same doctor to she calling it aunt days meaning I am to no only take child out to movies lunch dinner alone with me but to pay for it etc and no I will not be threatened to take down review you destroyed my life with the monster and lied to the courts and let me take a beating for stuff I find do like I said 7 months in that house something completely wrong no less what was done once sister thought court mediation was done no less I was mislead it was a judge when it wasn’t. Gary Field is an efficient and competent attorney whom I find is rare in this field. His knowledge, professionalism, and integrity, are key ingredients which makes a great attorney. He has the respect of his colleagues and the administrators in the judicial system.
Gary is extremely understanding and emphatic when it comes to handling complicated divorce and child custody issues. During my legal issue Gary suffered a personal loss in which that did not deter him the following day for appearing in court to ensure my visiting rights was granted. Unfortunately I did not find Gary until the middle of my legal issue which at that point went in the wrong direction very quickly and seemed that I would lose all my rights. Gary was successful in turning the opposition and getting my issue on better terms. I am grateful that I found Gary when I did or my case would have been lost.

I hired Mitch as my Attorney and he won my case! I did a lot of research before hiring him and could clearly see that he was the best when it comes to consumer protection litigation. I hired this attorney to sue a municipality that contributed to my wife's disability from an accident.
Mr. Adragna filed the wrong paperwork, it was late and as a result my case was dismissed.

I am going through a divorce. Joe commits to every case he takes on. Long hours and he actually cares. These are some traits you don't normally see in lawyers. My case is very atypical. He listened and explained that the law is what matters and that is what is going to make the difference in my case. He knows what he is doing and I trust him. This case isn't so much about me, as it is really all about my child and the best interest of that child. He understands that my child will grow up without a real parent figure in his life if I don't have custody. That my ex will truthfully not be there for my child as the child grows. Ultimately that will have a lasting effect on the child and will be detrimental to his future. Joe is fighting to have that child with his parent, the parent that is actually there and will be there for the child. The one who knows and consistently works with the child. What the child likes and dislikes, how the child communicates, and when the child is trying to communicate because that parent is actually paying attention. A parent who will also make the decisions that will positively shape the child's life and create a much more stable atmosphere to grow up in.
