I engaged Robin Beattie to represent me when my ex-husband filed a motion to terminate the maintenance he had agreed to during our divorce proceedings. My attorney had since retired, and I reached out to Robin for representation. She gave me realistic expectations when we first met...what this would cost if it indeed when to court, why considering a settlement had merit, what my chances of prevailing were, and what to expect on this journey. Everything she told me in that initial discussion turned out to be spot-on. During this emotionally-charged and challenging journey, Robin was a voice of professionalism, expertise, compassion and wisdom. She made thoughtful decisions around how/where to spend my money to provide the best outcomes, always knew the details of what was occurring in the lead-up to court, kept opposing council accountable for what they were to be doing, and built a legal case with great merit.
Robin’s level of preparation for my court case was beyond impressive. Several weeks before my court date, she had prepared her entire case, enlisted feedback from her team at the firm, worked with me to clarify points and ensure my comfort with it, and explained the variety of strategies she was employing for my case. In the last few weeks and days leading up to court, she continued to refine and hone her case. During court, she made pivots when necessary to address opposing council and witness testimony. Robin Beattie...best Lawyer for family law. I never had to retain her. I "consulted" with her about 4-5 times over a couple years on how to proceed with my ex. She didn't want me to waste my funds because she knew I was a single parent only receiving $150/month child support. She didn't just teach me the law and help me represent myself to the courts, she taught me how to speak and present myself in a way the courts will listen. She helped me to stand strong and keep fighting for my girls. Which I did. In the end I had a Decision Maker dismissed, a Child Investigation Report thrown out that stated they should live with their Dad and, the best part, standing up to a narcissistic and abusive person defeated him and he signed over full custody with the snap of my fingers. I'm a shark because of her. I not only won against the ex and the courts, I carried all of the skills I learned from her into my business and day to day life. I might not be a lawyer, but I sure do know the law better than I did. The most important lesson I learned through my time with Robin was that the courts do not care about how you feel. Not at all. They care about the law so you have to speak to them like you're a law book.

When one goes through a divorce, it's easy to let one's emotions drive the train. Robin managed to be completely empathetic to my feelings while still keeping things in perspective as to what ultimately mattered. I think a lot of attorneys stay detached so they can stay professional, or they get too emotionally involved in their clients situation. I'll scenarios are completely understandable in my opinion , but Robin does neither. She's warm yet professional. I can't recommend her highly enough

I have been working with Travis for 8 years, and he has been an incredible lawyer, advisor, leader and (unknowingly) therapist! I have been holding out and saving my review for Travis and his team for when my ex wife stops taking me to court! Unfortunately, that has not been the case! What I do find to be reassuring is that I know Travis always has my back and is always fighting for what is in my son's best interest, my best interest, our best interest. Travis always listens and ensures he understands what it is I am feeling and needing before developing a plan. He is very strategic in everything he does, and wastes no time getting where we need to go. Travis will take the risks worth taking and when he takes them he does so with a huge heart and great passion. Travis is true and pure and I am a better person having met him.

Mr Gilbertson is amazing at what he can do in the court room. I used him as my divorce attorney and he was able to get me more than I could have asked for in the settlement. He was supportive, knowledgeable and gave personal service. Sometimes was difficult to get in touch with as he is a sole-proprietor and not always at the office. Expects his clients to keep their end of the stick as well. Has alot of business savvy as well so he probably has litigated in other areas besides family law. Overall, a good experience!

Rob Sutton handled our small civil matter quickly and efficiently, and I can't say enough good things about him. We had called several other attorneys who had no idea what to do with our case, and who proposed a variety of inappropriate (and ridiculously expensive) solutions.

Debra represented me in my family law case. It was a hard case for me, as I'm sure most family law cases are. But in this case my ex-husband came after me years after our divorce with "guns blazing". Not only was I caught off guard, but I was an emotional wreck. I am more than thankful that I was able to find Debra to represent me. She took up the fight when I was unable to fight for myself. I want to start by saying that I did not know whether my case even had a chance of going in my favor, even a little bit. I had never really had a lawyer that I had worked with this closely before, so I didn't know what to do.
I was probably one of the most difficult clients that they've had. Meredith was very patient with me, even though I kept getting frustrated and angry about all of this. She wasn't the type of person to be super effusive and overly reassuring - she was very practical and I needed that. "No, he can't do that." "Yes, that's correct." I was frustrated with the process over and over again, because my ex would say one thing to my face, and then turn around and say something else to her, the mediator, the children, or the court. I want to be clear that I had a lot of responsibility for the situation that required legal proceedings to begin with.
But because of Meredith, I feel like the judge was able to see all of the hard work that I've put in and I ended up getting the most favorable ruling I could have imagined for myself and my children. There's still a long road to go. I have to keep proving every day that I deserve what the judge has granted me, but I don't mind. Meredith had the faith in me that I hadn't experienced from someone involved with this case and she helped me show the court that it was in the children's best interest that the court have faith in me too.
Meredith did her job and she was good at it. But what made Meredith's work on my case so meaningful was that she could look at me like the mother and human being that I am. I didn't feel like a paycheck to her.
I also want to mention Kimberly Kendle. She was Meredith's paralegal for most of the case and she always took the time out to call me and answer the questions that I had. That was really important to me, just to hear back.
I can't go into a lot more details because unfortunately the case is still going in another manner. I can't afford representation anymore, because I honestly couldn't afford it to begin with. But I did want to say that if you are in a similar situation and aren't sure whether or not you can really afford New Leaf I might at least just talk to them. They don't do hourly billing, but monthly and there were fewer surprises. Ultimately I would recommend specifically Meredith and/or Kimberly and even though I can't afford representation anymore I feel like Meredith gave me advice I can take into my pro se part of this journey.

Sam Townsend got me the very best outcome in the very worst situation. Despite my trepidation with his taking over my case at the beginning of my retainer, he far exceeded any expectation I may have had for someone to represent me in a case full of emotions. It was truly an honor working with Hannah. I made the mistake of not doing my reaserch with my original lawyer on the case and after much research we found Hannah and it was quite a relief from the previous experience.
She paid attention to detail from my original divorce that was finalized in 2019 and caught something that I never would have caught, and it was a huge benefit in my case. She also has a paralegal that helps a lot with the cost. Family issues are important and unfortunately costly, but compared to my previous lawyer her hard work, and quick resposes were a fraction of the cost because of her paralegal. She is extremely motivaed and was able to settle our case out of court because of her polite yet strong character. Hannah is efficient, polite, and worked really well with opposing counsel, which I believe resulted in the case being handled outside of court. One thing Hannah would always provide is options. I really enjoyed knowing all my options and then getting her opinion on the route she would take. I happeded to agree with her on all matters that needed decision and I couldn't have asked for a better end result.
I highly recommend doing your research before settling, and having the consultation and you will realize Hannah is an oustanding choice to represent you.

I was wrongfully accused of a crime while other lawyers told me to take a plea I went to Leonard and he took the case to trial. Although the county had several witnesses against me , Leonard was able to get to the truth and I was found not guilty. Leonard's work on the case saved me and my family.
