I started to used Rhonda after my divorce was final and there were items in the MSA that were not being followed. She is an incredible attorney that gets things done quickly and efficiently. One of the things I appreciate the most is that I do not have to wait long for a response; many times you are waiting and re-calling/checking on items. She works fast to get things accomplished. I know whatever I bring to her she will take care of in the best way possible and in a timely manner.

Eric Demetriades with the Marquis Lw Group is the most competent lawyer I’ve ever met. I was arrested for a complicated DUI case, which he handled flawlessly. From the first consultation to the final hearing, he was there to answer all my questions and got back to me expeditiously. Eric suggested a continuance to give me time to follow his recommendations which proved to be the right path. On each of the two days I was to be in court we had great pre-trial conversations which put my mind at ease. In court he was communicative and explained his expectations. His ability to work with the prosecutor and show the positive steps I had taken (Eric’s advice) yielded 100% of the sentence suspended with minimal fines. I couldn’t ask for a better attorney or result.

When what should have been an uncomplicated divorce turned into a three ringed circus, I was very fortunate to have Alan Bowden as my council.
From the onset he was caring, kind, upfront, plain spoken yet obviously very intelligent. There was never a moment I doubted his strategy or advice.
During the court hearings he was very well prepared, professional, articulate and to the point, unlike the paper shuffling, mumbling and redundant questions from the opposition. Alan kept it simple, no mud slinging and classy.
On top of Alan's apparent love for the law, justice and giving his client 100% , he is also a very nice guy and a pleasure to be around, even in difficult circumstances.

I was incarcerated because of a domestic dispute in Loudoun County. I've had many lawyers represent me in previous matters and never have I felt more confident in my legal representation than I did with Mr. Seck. As soon as he took my case, he came and visited me at the jail the next day. He came again the following day to make sure he could collect as much information about my case from me as he could. He was very responsive and strove hard to keep the line of communication open, which is difficult for a person who is incarcerated. If he wasn't in direct communication with me he was in constant contact with my family members and worked with me through them. When my court date came he was there early to discuss possible senarios and outcomes and asked me how I would like to approach the situation. I was released that day and everything was adjudicated beyond my expectations and now this criminal matter is behind me. I would highly recommend Mr. Seck to anyone facing criminal or civil cases.

I sought out Mr. Seck after a demoralizing visit to the family court where I learned my out of state court order could not be enforced in Virginia without an overwhelming stack of paperwork that I did not understand and legal expertise I did not have. I found Mr. Seck after doing an internet search. I lucked out.
Mr. Seck was patient as he walked me through the process. Not only did he help secure a stable future for my children, but did so in a timely manner while minimizing the expenses. My case resolved in less than six months. He managed to convince my ex-husband to come to the table and negotiate, something I haven’t been able to do in eight years, resulting in an agreement instead of an order. The increase in child support was certainly welcome. My former husband agreeing to pay the expenses he owed was a big relief. The best part was the comfort for our teenagers knowing that their Dad agreed to the changes and did not have to be ordered by the court to support them.
Ideally, I would not have to resort to the legal system to get the support needed to care for our children. Having Michael Seck on your side makes that necessity the next best thing to an agreeable ex-husband.

When I was facing serious felony charges I met with quite a few lawyers in Northern VA before deciding on Peter Schwartz.
No other attorney actually believed me to be innocent. They were willing to take the case and defend me, but I wouldn't dare hire a professional who says to my face and in front of my mother that I am a criminal.
Peter was the exception. From the first time we spoke I knew he had a genuine interest in helping me, I knew that he trusted me. I had already been in jail for several days, knowing Peter would be defending me (for the right reasons) was just such an overwhelming relief.
When we finally got to the courtroom, Peter was able to prove my innocence to a Fairfax County Judge. Beyond that the party responsible for filing the charges against me admitted to guilt and confirmed the story I had been telling from the start was true.
Peter believed me and fought for me when no one else would. He was always courteous and professional in and outside of the courtroom. Because of this, Peter has and will be my attorney for as long as he practises law.

Cheryl is extremely unprofessional and waits to the last minute to review/work on your case. She went out of town for 10 days and never notified me so that I would know my timeline. She racks up her bill by doing rewrites/ reviews of the documents instead of having a simple meeting with the opposed team. Pads her bill by having conversations with her assistant daily, so you are billed twice for the same conversation.
When I scheduled an appointment to discuss the bill, which took four (4) weeks, she did NOT have anything in front of her to justify her time.
Her response to why I was upset is that I did not get what I wanted.
I just wanted to pay for services that should have been provided and not perked around and overcharged by twice the amount than what I should have been billed
I would NOT recommend her firm.

John Whitbeck is an excellent lawyer, and I was so thankful to have him as my divorce lawyer. What impressed me during my initial consultation was that he came up with a plan after listening to my story. He is a passionate defender toward his clients, and he will keep you focused on the important issues and give you sound, legal advice. My advice to those that are divorcing is this: try to be fair and do what is right even when things are difficult, and hire John Whitbeck as your attorney.

He seems competent, but his political activities/ambitions and case load seem to distract from his work at times. He waited to the last minute to file some paperwork he was notified about a couple of weeks earlier. We ended up missing a deadline as a result. Fortunately, the consequences were not too extreme. I’m writing here because he won’t own his sloppy work. If he just said a simple “woopsies. Sorry. My bad” instead of not acknowledging the issue, I would have let it go and not be writing here.

John is my families hero.
He Fought BESIDE ME Long and hard. My case was very difficult and he was dealing with an career criminal and cruel individuals. He kept a level head. Calmed me down when times got tough, went to war to keep my freedom, supported my families safty and made keeping the family together a priority. I couldn't of held family together if John and his staff had not worked so hard for me and my children. He truly is busy and is moving up in the world as an successful lawyer and chairman of the GOP. He is smart and will fight the good fight against wrong.
I don't have alot of confidence in any lawyers however John is not just a lawyer he is a man who believes justice should be served daily, no matter what day it is. Let freedom ring.
John has amazing grace.

Collected retainer up-front. Impossible to get in touch with. When I did hear back from him it would take a month of contact, only to have him not remember anything about my case.
It took a full year to get a court date. He gave me the wrong court date, getting my case dismissed. He never showed up at court, even on the date he did me. And is now ignoring my contacts. He has not so much as returned a call or email in the two months since he got my case tossed out.
Avoid. He just took my money and ghosted me.

I would highly recommend this firm. In particular Spencer Beckman and Paralegal, Jenny Peshoff. I only met with Spencer once for my initial consultation, but he was very friendly, professional, and down to earth. My mind was put at ease very quickly. The majority of my time was spent working with Jenny Peshoff and she was incredibly responsive, timely, and always friendly. During the few times that I visited the office in person, the staff was always courteous and very helpful. I would highly recommend both Spencer and Jenny - they are a great team! The one thing I appreciated most was the "non-lawyer speak" they used when speaking with me so that I understood exactly what was happening every step of the way.

I had a situation with a Protective Order. Spencer won the case for me in a spectacular fashion. The opposing counsel went on and on but Spencer's thorough and deep understanding of the law made him pinpoint what is important and relevant and what the judge needed to hear to win the case for me. I was so happy that day. In my opinion, he is the best in his business. If you are looking for an attorney, look no more. Just hire Spencer. He is your man... I will forever be in his debt for what he did for me. He is just an amazing lawyer!

I retained Mr. Conners at a high rate, with assurances that he would be handling the case. I was pawned off to one of his newer less experienced attorneys when he did not make an appearance at my court date (went to a different clients date instead). I was then over billed in hours for them to deliberate with each other (often doing the same tasks multiple times) and each work on different strategies, as well as a final bill for hours that did not exsist.
Lack of communication in the firm and what I would consider unethical billing practices.

Mr. Connors is affable and quite knowledgeable about the law. His firm is small. Which turned out to be a deficit in my case as he was easily overwhelmed by the “big boys” of opposing counsel’s firm. As a consequence, The legal fees quickly spiraled out of control and greatly exceeded the budget and the end result was not as good as I had hoped.

- A top notch legal professional who is about as knowledgeable about family law as I've ever seen. Anywhere.
- He will take your case very seriously; he will sit with you to formulate the most effective legal strategy and he will be direct and honest about setting realistic expectations.
- He is one of the most efficient attorney's out there; he will work on preparing your case professionally and coherently.
- He is passionate about the law and his profession: He cares about your case as if it's his own.
- Unlike many lawyers out there, he is not out to run up the hours and drain your wallet.
- His level of preparation before trial is superb. Going to trial is always stressful, but you go into trial feeling confident knowing that you have an attorney who is thoroughly prepared for your case and positioned to win.
- He's is very responsive; unless he's tied up in court he responds to emails within hours (or less).
In the court room:
- At trial, he's focused on one thing and one thing only: Winning your case.
- He has absolute command of the court room and respect of the judge.
- I was absolutely astounded by the professionalism and court room acumen demonstrated by Mr. Conners at my trial.
- His vast knowledge of the family law enables him to make very succinct and clear legal arguments in support of his client's case.
- His vast knowledge of family law also enables him to effectively discredit opposing counsel's arguments that are not based on fact or law.
- His cross-examination of witnesses is on-point and quickly exposes their weaknesses.

Do not expect Mr. Robl to keep track of the time he has worked on your case, or to provide you with accurate information. Ask him every time you speak to him how many hours you have left on your retainer, and make sure it matches your records.
In my case, Mr. Robl informed me that I still had money left on my retainer, but would need to provide him with additional money soon. I advised him that I did not have any additional money and therefore I needed to settle my case (which I did immediately). Shortly thereafter, I received a bill for a very large amount of money. When I reached out to Mr. Robl to clear up these charges, he explained that the information he had previously provided was not accurate. I was upset to hear it, and didn't have the money he was now saying that I owed him. I went back to check all of my records, and still did not come up with the hours he was claiming to have worked on my case. When I called him back in attempt to work something out, he would not answer. I left multiple messages. He refused all of my phone calls and emails, and never responded to me again. Rather than speak to me, someone he was representing, he SUED me, resulting in a judgement. Adding insult to injury, he actually included his legal fees (not just costs) for representing himself in the lawsuit! Please be very cautious when considering Mr. Robl to represent you. I've never felt so wronged before in my life, and would hate for anyone else to go through what I did.
