Getting a divorce is hard...being divorced can be pretty great though (if you have a good lawyer!) That's where Emily at Ellison Law came in for me. I had an extremely contentious and drawn out divorce due to my ex not wanting to cooperate and be civil. In times where it felt like my entire life way in full chaos, Emily's sound advice, level minded strategies, and keen awareness of the divorce process was my only saving grace. While divorce is ultimately painful, sad, expensive, and life-changing for everyone involved, having a good lawyer to help you through it and to help plan for what your life looks like after divorce is so critical, especially if you are divorcing someone who wants to make the process as difficult as possible. Emily had my back at every turn, she fought hard for me in court, and was so thoroughly prepared that it truly saved my life, the life I have now, the stability my kids have now. I had to put so much trust into Emily's guidance and knowledge of the system, and I'm so glad I did. She was thoughtful and kind, took the time to answer questions fully, explain processes to me, and think ahead for me (especially when all I could do was sometimes barely see through the day I was in). Ted and Robin were VERY well organized as well as prompt with responding to my concerns! Honesty. Integrity. Transparency! Three very important qualities that make a very difficult situation bearable. From the moment I retained Ted, I felt very comfortable knowing he was NOT in this for the money, but to help me fight a battle that meant the world to me! I had attempted to fight this battle alone up until about 40 days before the trial date. Feeling overpowered, I called Ted's office and met with him a day later. After consulting with Ted, I walked out of his office with a huge amount of weight lifted off my shoulders. With not very much time to prepare, Ted and Robin immediately started working on my case. Ted never once steered me in the wrong direction and always pointed out the logistics of the case. If I didn't like what the opposing party had to say, Robin would listen very carefully to my thoughts and concerns and she and Ted would have a "plan of action" within minutes. Although we settled outside of court 5 minutes before the trial started, Ted had his well documented notes and was ready to stand by me in court and fight for what my daughter and I deserved! Ted went back to his office and worked on organizing all of the documentation of what had been settled on in court. We went back and forth for several days until everyone was happy with the agreement. Robin very patiently listened to my concerns and made several "tweaks" until both parties were completely happy. Thank you very much!! I appreciate you both!

Ted had my daughter's best interest at heart to include how the expense of litigation would impact our family's finances. He knew what he was doing at all times and handle the situation in a very professional manner at all times.

Ted Finn had a no-bull approach that I found efficient and refreshing. At the same time, he consistently showed perceptive intuition as to the nuances of the case and the opposing party's tactics. He was about the business of my case as opposed to running up my bill. He was inclined to take the high road, very upfront regarding cost, and he communicated throughout regarding cost analysis of pursuing various approaches or battles. When it did come time to stand ground as opposed to negotiate, he was well prepared and persuasive. In my opinion Family Law is a good fit for Ted and I'd certainly prefer to have him on my team than face him as my opposition counsel.

This review a bit overdue; Kendra did an excellent job for me -handling my divorce. She was a mix of working nicely with the other attorney, but also being a 'bulldog' on my interest. I thought it was an excellent, intelligent mix of those two qualities. Her, and her staff, paid attention to every detail, all the paperwork, etc., was expertly handled in a timely fashion. I thought her costs were reasonable. Most of all, I enjoyed my time and correspondence with her. She is highly recommended.

Kendra jumped into my case midstream, my cause was a nasty complicated divorce with one child involved and complicated financial situation. She jumped in and got up to speed quickly and handled the case open and honestly. I am grateful for the work that Katie and her para legal Lori did to efficiently resolve my legal affairs. I particularly appreciate that Katie recognized, accepted, and supported my personal concerns, and not merely the strict legal perspective. She presented options on how to resolve the matter consistent with my wishes. With her knowledge of law and court precedent, Katie negotiated with opposing council from a position of strength; thereby, per my will, she kept us from being in court, and minimized legal fillings. She also knew how to push-back on financial claims so-as to resolve the issue with minimal cost to me. She was efficient with her time and efforts during negotiations, and meticulous with the final court fillings to ensure all of my concerns were specifically addressed, and accepted by the court in its ruling.

Hello John, Can you please give me a broken down update as far as where the Wolking estate is at the moment? I remember this time last year you had wrote me telling me how you could help my kids have a better than terrible Christmas. I will be happy to find your messages but from what I’m reading I feel like your saying I don’t have any $$$ coming in mine or the Wolking families direction. I am really sad that you can’t see how I feel regarding the ; -Timeline -Amount family house was sold for Missing items within the estate from my Mom and Dad -Broken promises from your firm regarding timelines and what I believed when I took advanvces from your professional opinion - The >100K in rent I paid after my family home sat empty -Your lack of professionalism towards the side of the family that didn’t retain you or your firm -I HAVE ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR CLARIFICATION ON WHAT YOU ARE REFFERING TO AS A STIPULATION……. Charles did not remember our conversations, therefore, I needed to refresh him of the details. This occurred more than once in our small window of time, working together. This is unprofessional and a waste of everybody's time. When I called him on it, he turned it around as me being brash, vs me relaying truth. Avoid attorneys who cannot handle conflict... bad sign. He made good when I suggested most of my retainer fee be returned.

I/we never thought we would find ourselves in the position of needing an Estate Attorney. But here we were in distress, without knowing where to turn after the death of a loved one. We were seeking calm and guidance in the face of uncertainty. Erin Pierce and her team were a Godsend. Although our case was complicated, she understood the law well and knew what to expect at every turn. Hopefully, you will never find yourself in our position.
