I honestly cannot say enough good things about Mrs. Hollwarth and her staff. Over the years I have used multiple Attorneys in Longview and Christina was by far the best! Child custody cases are stressful enough without having an Attorney that makes it even more difficult than it has to be. Christina and Naomi made this process as stress free as they possibly could! Communication was phenomenal! Christina not only listened to me she fought for me and my Daughter. First, I want to say we felt welcomed when we walked into this office for the first time. We had hired another lawyer that let pretty much abandoned the case and it was a MESS when Kelly picked it up. I cannot say enough good things about Kelly. She got everything wrapped up and handled within a few months that another attorney could not accomplish in almost two years. The communication was phenomenal. We were always given an answer in a reasonable time. Kelly and her office worked many long hours on this case, and it paid off. I found Mr. Hyatt on this site and I couldn't be more pleased with his courteous and knowledgeable advice and representation. Being in the middle of a custody battle is never easy and he makes sure to explain everything in a patient laymen manner. At every step of the way, he stops to check in and lays out concise options and will help you weigh the risks and benefits to all. His realist attitude doesn't lead to false hope or misrepresentation in any instance. He makes sure that his client is prepared for all variables. He looks at the situation objectively and in turn is able to see angles that one might not necessarily see while going through a legal situation. I have a very difficult and complex case and just knowing he will be standing by my side in the court room gives me the assurance to be able to stand with my head held high. He literally prepares for everything that may go wrong and that leads to predictable results no matter what is thrown around in the courtroom.
Even though I know myself well enough to know I overwhelm most people, he has never seemed to be irritated or frustrated with me and for an attorney that says a lot! Diane first introduced herself to me when we were both 13 years old, in 1975, in College Station. My family had just moved into the neighborhood.
When I look back over those early years, I see the makings of an attorney. She could not have been more devoted to keeping her mother, who was suffering from M.S., out of a retirement home, & fiercely defended her mother's right to be cared for in their own home, by Diane & devoted nurses like Ruth, & Mrs. Ramirez. In college, she showed concern regarding whether Ruth had a proper retirement, obviously wishing to convey her appreciation for Ruth caring beyond her job description.
I know Diane to understand fragile situations. Whether a divorce is the best thing depends on many variables, regarding how it impacts one's health, children, & even employment.
Once, a very self-absorbed, insensitive drunk shoved her little dog off my porch. Her face showed so much shock at his cruelty, that he later scrambled up an excuse to justify his actions. ( I actually never told her that part; in some ways, he treated me worse than the 🐶).
Once, when we went out one weekend to see what we might see, an old boyfriend saw me, & started yelling drunken insults as we were walking up. We walked past him, & I decided to never give him another thought. Diane wanted to get to the bottom of it, & went to go talk to him.
I really didn't appreciate it, much, at the time, but it made a lot more sense when she became an attorney! Diane isn't satisfied at just seeing something; she gave the guy a chance to explain. (I tend to believe the universe might correct itself, better, if we just let some things go--- although I appreciate her view of things to some extent, more, since I've been living in San Anonio, as no one here much corrects the abusive personalities, & bad behaviors continue.)

She reduced my retainer of 7,500.00 to 0.00 and then requested withdrawl as representive because she had a personal vendetta, and manipulation of existing resources (Network and Legal System)to get the judge to agree even after I denied her request (She got paid to know my case then failed to communicate as well as failed to follow my written instructions). Mrs Charles is unprofessional and will take all your retainer and then drop you as a client after retainer gone if you dont follow her "recommendations", even though you are the one whom hired her! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!!!

Ms. Charles and her staff are highly professional, and help you realize that you must step past your emotional reaction to the situation and strategize. Her court appearances are prompt and effective, and billing is itemized and clear. She also makes referrals to other lawyers as the situation arises, and her staff is attentive and responsive even over the telephone or via email. It is important to realize that Ms. Charles is a professional and act accordingly so you can make the best use of your time. She will carefully explain anything in a ruling, but I personally find when I approach meetings in the same manner I would a doctor's appointment I have a much better understanding of what she is explaining. A lawyer is not there for emotional support, but for legal advice, and that's something many people being faced with divorce may have a difficult time remembering.

So I have had to deal with a case now since 2021 and I cannot afford a lawyer this is the only place to get a lawyer in Gregg county for free and yet had been denied again I guess it would have been against codes but they didn't specify anything on what they were going against. So now a good person is going to have to make an example of a bad person because the state of Texas refuses to help a good person and has zero idea how to run a state the judicial system here is joke
