Brooke listened to my problem and offered very practical advice. She didn't offer false hope, but clarified my situation and laid out some steps that I can take now. Vicki and Barb were amazing throughout my divorce. Vicki will not waste your time/money with pointless meetings or calls, but she will show up for court prepared and organized. She made my spouse's attorney look incompetent and unprepared when she walked in with a binder for testimony with color-coded tabs for each section that we covered. Vicki was able to find a case law that got my foot in the door in a court system that otherwise would have refused to hear my case and continued to let my financially dominant ex continue to exert power and control through financial manipulation. But mainly, Vicki and Barb truly care about you on a human level and will treat your case with care and compassion. The family you created being legal broke apart is NEVER an easy thing but I am sure that having Vicki and Barb's support made it so much better than it otherwise would have been. Thank you!

I cannot express how extremely happy I was to have Vicki Francios as my lawyer during a very long 2+ year custody and child support battle. Vicki was not only extremely knowledgeable, but she explained everything to me with extreme detail and on a level that I would understand. I never felt rushed in a meeting or on the phone when discussing the details and strategies of my case. Vicki answered every question I had and provided reasoning behind them. I used the Slovensky Law firm for my divorce. I looked up lawyers in the surrounding area near Roanoke, and this firm had wonderful 5 star reviews. Those reviews helped me realize this is who I need to help me through my divorce. Mrs. Slovensky helped me every step of the way to understand the process and always so positive in helping me get through this. My ex-husband wanted a very large sum of my retirement plan. She brought in another company to evaluate every part of my plan and lowered the sum substantially!!!! By doing this, I was able to walk away from the marriage not owing him a large sum of money. Mr. Damico helped through the process of working through a difficult custody case and a frivolous criminal charge my ex brought against me. I ended up after the lengthy amounts of arguments and cases with custody of my kid almost half of every month and found not guilty if the ridiculous charge that was brought against me.
He doesn't pull any punches and he'll give you his no BS opinion on things.

How have I not reviewed Mr. Spencer on this website already? Mr. Spencer is incredible. He truly gives so much time and attention to your case and tells you exactly what his expectations are. To be honest, he has never steered me wrong in any of the custody cases (there have been way more than I’d like to admit, unfortunately) he has represented myself (and now my husband) in. In fact, he has never even been wrong in his expectations of the outcome of any of my cases thus far. We did not know Ms. Henderson before, but the way she attended court and expertly and professionally engaged with the judge, prosecution, and officers, showed her ease and skill in that arena. Melanie is the lawyer, Donna the paralegal. Files separation and paid then in January, called and left messages and emails, did my end of the paperwork....nothing. .. June and I have paid them for bothe separation and divorce and nothing has been done... divorce was amicable and we had already separated assets and living separate lives for over a year at this point.... it's the end of July and they claim the paperwork is not back to them from my partner... absolutely unprofessional. 2nd time they claim the paperwork was sent back to them when in reality they probably lost it. A disgrace considering the other reviews of this firm are good... at this point I have given them all the money and they have be wrapped jn so they can take their sweet time. At this point I would be happy to have my money back so I can find someone to take care of this.

Regarding Mr. Phillips and his Assistant.
The lady and the lawyer are unprofessional. The woman was very rude and falsified information regarding my phone number. I expressed my concerns in a civil manner and she became very defensive and hung up on me. She then admitted another number was on file but tried to claim she never said there was never an additional number. I would not recommend this place and the lawyer never took the time to see they changed my phone number and never returned my call. He sent a letter telling me to do the case myself and without a lawyer.

Patrick McGraw was literally heaven sent! I had been battling a nasty custody fight with my child's father for 10 years! After 5 lawyers, 4 guardian ad items and $6,000+ later...NOTHING ever got ruled in my favor. I'm a single mother with limited financial resources. I needed a 'NO NON SENSE" type of lawyer who would not only listen to me but take me and my dollar seriously! Patrick is also organized, knowledgeable of the law and has experience!
He did not waste anytime on my case! He filed subpoenas and other court documents ON TIME! He kept it real with me at all times regarding the details of my case. Regardless of how ugly it was, he was HONEST! He worked with me when it came time to pay him. He didn't try to 'price gouge' me or make it about money.
When I first hired Patrick, by the time I explained to him what was all done to me and how my son was suffering as a result, Mr. McGraw already could see through what was happening and how I got 'railroaded'. This Lawyer has the discernment and experience to see through foolishness! Again, this is what makes him a 'no-nonsense' lawyer. Mona is a poor excuse for an attorney. Mona will state she can do this and that and then when you get off the phone she is done with you and will not even recall your case when you check back in weeks later because she never contacts you back. Mona will say she is filing paperwork than recant that statement and come up with every excuse she can. Mona could care less about anyone in need. Mona refused to represent because all of a sudden she knew the other party MONTHS later. I believe she was just to incompetent and did not want to do her job.

I hired Mona to represent me in a custody hearing last Friday. She convinced me I had no chance of losing and don't bother bringing any witnesses. At the hearing, she didn't bother cross-examining the other party's witnesses and never objected, when I told her lies were being thrown around. She put in no effort to my effort and we lost bad. I'm now in a uphill battle to regain custody of my kids. I expect a peer review of her effort in my case would lead to her license being suspended. Her complete lack of effort or interest has ruined my life. Stay away.
