I have hired attorneys in the past and was left with the feeling that my voice didn't matter. Being charged for the smallest things, even making a single copy and postage to mail a letter, seemed to be more of a priority. I had the exact opposite experience with Ms. Baluch. She really listened to me, fought for what I wanted, and didn't nickel and dime me for every little thing which was appreciated. I got in touch with Attorney Ray based on his reviews and that little voice inside us all. I had a very ugly divorce that most other attorneys were afraid to take on, Attorney Ray went to work and got my ugly divorce done in short order, against a tough opposing attorney. Attorney Ray is the real deal. He is professional, to the point, very knowledgeable, and doesn't mince words, if you are looking for sugar coating he isn't your guy. I literally had one of the most difficult cases known to family court with a bitter ex that made up lies and dragged me into court yearly for 16years of false allegations and manipulation to the point I almost lost my son. Ali didn't only fight hard for me, she was always there when I needed her. It was never about the money. She genuinely cared about me. I had to deal with a situation that existed in both family court as well as criminal court. Right away Ali was both informative and empathetic. As a professional, she knows how the legal system works. Ali spent time 'on the other side' as a prosecutor, which I felt gave her an inside understanding of not only how the prosecution operates, but of what judges want and look for in a case. Ali informed myself and my wife right away to initiate things like counseling and parenting classes and not to wait for that to be ordered. 1) Because you don't want to get MONTHS into your case and then have the system spring something on you that you could have been doing all that time and 2) It shows that you're pro-active in your case. She never painted a picture of unrealistic expectations and yet, at the same time, she managed to stoke the fires of hope and resolve. The above mentioned advice alone probably shaved 3-4 months off of my family court case. It's little things like that that become big things that Ali has an inside understanding of.
As a person, Ali took a personal interest in me and my family. She readily viewed pictures of my kids and even helped my eldest with a few decisions about college. Ali is a genuine person and she really does care.
To be frank, the court system is hell. Pick one reason or pick several, it's a sea of hell. Ali acted as a legal compass through it all.
I don't give this review with any amount of light heartedness. DCFS came and took my youngest son into state custody for over 1 year. In my heart I truly feel that if it had not been for Ali Leonard, that time would have been excruciatingly longer or worse, they may not have returned him at all. It's via her strength, her knowledge and her determination that I have my son today and my family is whole. Even when my monetary debt reads zero, I will never be able to truly pay her back. Thank you Ali.

Brian Morgan was recommended to me when I had a contract dispute with a Rockford Roofing/Siding Contractor. This contractor did not deliver on services promised. When there was issue with the quality of the work done, the contractor refused to finish the work and demanded payment in full. I sent them a check for the work that was finished, and the contractor used family legal representation and sued me. Brian Morgan gave me a fair estimate at the beginning of the case and then did more work than I expected as the case dragged out completely fulfilling his part of the original agreement. Brian uncovered discrepancies in the contractor’s contract and pointed out multiple instances where the contractor was clearly attempting to defraud me. Brian exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to reach a final settlement. I don’t know if that contractor learned anything about customer service, but Brian clearly understands what it means to deliver top value at a fair cost. Brian has a firm grasp on contract law and made no secret that he does not like dishonest contractors. His actions speak for him.

Brian Morgan is the attorney for you if you need criminal, Dcfs help etc. He is honest and trustworthy and very, very knowledgeable about the law. Being a former assistant State's attorney really helps. He is very kind and will listen to all you have to say. I spoke with many other attorney's before finding Brian and they would start asking questions before I would get done and then I would forget where I was at and forget to tell them something, not with Brian he listened to everything I had to say and then started asking questions. He is reasonable on his rates and he will work with you. I spoke with many attorney's before Brian and I wished I would of found him first then I would of not had to waste my time like I did on any other attorney. They were rude and charged to much money. I was contacted by Richard within 5 minutes of emailing him my family law concerns. I not only had one concern, but 3. One of them was not even his area of expertise, but he knew who who to direct me to if i needed further clarification. He addressed all of my concerns and even took the time to make sure I was clear on all my options and went over the ones i was unsure of until I felt I knew the course of action I needed to take. Terrible experience with attorney Jim Rodriguez. Used him a few years back for help on purchasing my home and ensuring all the private party purchase documents were in order. My home was supposed to be split off of a larger plot, and currently I’m paying taxes on 65 additional acres and it’s been going on for years. The issue with Jim specifically is not only can he not complete the separation of the additional acreage from my plot and get the deed in my name years later, but that he chooses to ignore emails and phone calls regarding it. I’ll be hiring another attorney to finish the process, and also hire an attorney to recoup my fees paid to Jim. Very unprofessional.

I would HIGHLY recommend Crow Law, LLC to anyone in the Winnebago or Boone County area for representation in a divorce. Adrian, Lesley, and Jennifer were amazing to work with. They were meticulous, organized, prepared, knowledgeable, thorough, strategic, and not afraid of the several large firms my ex had at his disposal in the divorce.
Crow Law, LLC was the third attorney I used in the 20 month long case. The second firm I used was a very large, very high priced firm in downtown Chicago who supposedly specialized in Woman’s domestic abuse. I thought by hiring a large firm that claimed to represent women better in divorce, I would get better results…but it was the opposite. They basically told me I had no options and I was out of luck because the prenup I signed 5 days prior to my marriage was so restrictive. The attorneys were rude, always talked over me, rambled on forever about other cases they worked on to try to prove their point with me, & never paused long enough to let me respond or ask questions. They basically TOLD me what was going to happen & would end every statement with a known sales assumptive close tactic “wouldn’t you agree?” in order to try to get me to agree with what they wanted to do. I wanted to go to trial & gave them the $10,000 additional retainer they mentioned I would need to give them…but once I did, one of the partners called me to say he would not take it to trial because I would lose & get none of what I was asking for.
I hired Crow Law, LLC after that and I DID end up getting several things that the Chicago attorney told me I would never get, and it never even went to trial. They convinced the judge to rule in my favor on several high ticket items in pretrial talks. I would not have ended up with that additional settlement had I stayed with the large Chicago firm.
Crow Law, LLC fought hard for me & my case was very complex. They were friendly and kept my worries at bay. I never had to show up to court or on Zoom once in 20 months. They handled it all remotely, as I live in Florida, now. Highly, highly recommend them.🙏

The process of my divorce took 5 months. You will mostly be working with the paralegals which are not friendly at all. It’s an inconvenience if you call or email. Don’t expect fast responses. Absolutely no compassion either. Divorce is a difficult process but you are on your own. I had to remind them of all the demands I had. They even missed a few demands that I had required. I felt like an inconvenience to them. Mason & Tyler are kind. But they need better paralegals. I’m just glad this is over with.

Going through another company, I was referred to Black and Jones for my SSDI case. The first phone call I had was just a consultation with a lawyer at the firm. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I did not appreciate the condescending tone and the scoffs I could clearly hear while I was answering questions. Also, was ASKED to send info to a specific email to which my email was DENIED BY THE COMPANY per the email from Yahoo mailer. Then I sent an email through the inquiries email on the website, to which I have yet to receive a response. Lawyers exist because we non social paths don't know the law, maybe try to pretend to care just a little bit, or at least treat a potential client with some respect. Find another place to do business. EDIT: It gets even better! They have zero information about my case and send me a letter claiming they have reviewed my case. If they are looking at the current case on file with SSI, they have incorrect information. That's what happens when people don't actually do thier job.

They are supposed to fight for you and they don't. Part of my claim was denied and was told by this office that my accident didn't happen at work. Unbelievable!!!!! I stated "aren't you supposed to fight for me??" And they send me a bill for$100. These are facts, so do not try to respond to this review with more of your bullshit!!!!

Thompson is not worth your time and money. He believes the slander from unethical peers rather than the facts and truth of the case and his client's best interests. He will allow you to suffer further due to his negligence, while charging you nonetheless, then drop you due to the damage his negligence caused without accomplishing what he was retained for. He will argue with you, further slandering and damaging you, to defend himself rather than admit any wrong doing. He is not in it to work. He wants easy cases that he will decide what is best for him, not you.

Going through another company, I was referred to Black and Jones for my SSDI case. The first phone call I had was just a consultation with a lawyer at the firm. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I did not appreciate the condescending tone and the scoffs I could clearly hear while I was answering questions. Also, was ASKED to send info to a specific email to which my email was DENIED BY THE COMPANY per the email from Yahoo mailer. Then I sent an email through the inquiries email on the website, to which I have yet to receive a response. Lawyers exist because we non social paths don't know the law, maybe try to pretend to care just a little bit, or at least treat a potential client with some respect. Find another place to do business. EDIT: It gets even better! They have zero information about my case and send me a letter claiming they have reviewed my case. If they are looking at the current case on file with SSI, they have incorrect information. That's what happens when people don't actually do thier job.
