My husband and I hired Lori initially to help us terminate my Ex’s legal rights to my son and allow my husband to adopt my son. It ended up being a long, brutal, custody battle with my ex who had resurfaced after being absent for years from my son’s life. Lori fought hard for us, prepared us every step of the way, took time to listen to us but also told us ways we could cut costs by handling certain things ourselves. She told us our options along the way and explained why she recommended one option over the other. She helped us see things realistically and at times helped to reel in emotions and keep things focused on our son vs my ex. With her help we were able to come to a sustainable agreement that kept our son safe. My ex was granted supervised visits that would graduate to unsupervised, then overnights, then short summer visits then eventually 3week summer visits. Lori told us this was the best solution to give him time to prove himself or enough rope to hang himself. It’s been over 5yrs since that arrangement was made and he has still never had an unsupervised visit and only maintained contact for about a year. Lori still touches base with us to see how we are doing. Our son turns 18 next year and Lori will be handling the adult adoption case for us so my husband can finally legally be named his dad. Stacy took a very stressful and certainly unfamiliar situation and explained every step in a comforting way. She was so kind and patient with me, helping me understand the processes. So, I battled a traffic case out of Malheur County. Had a very negative interaction with a resident deputy in Jordan Valley. My contact with the deputy resulted in being cited for traffic violations based on “contempt of cop” perceived by the Malheur County deputy. BUT, I knew the cat was wrong basedon his lack of radar training AND Malheur County Sheriff is lacking to ensure their radar equipment is calibrated and tuned. Hit Edgar up. Excellent communications, cost was reasonable for his representation. He helped navigate the county system AND went to work for me. His efforts resulted in my getting satisfaction over a rural po-dunk resident deputy who “short cuts” or flat out withholds exculpatory information. I met Ms. Dentinger early on in my process of trying to decide if I was going to proceed with a divorce. From the outset, she was forthright and I felt confident in her advice. She listened to my desired outcomes in the process and kept that as our focus throughout the divorce proceedings. She is an excellent ally, tells you "how it is", and keeps things realistic. Tammy is a very knowledgeable attorney that really understands the process. I really appreciated how she handled my case and the aggressiveness of the opposing side. I worked very well with her. I really appreciated how Tammy would lay out the options and didn't always have to fight w/ the opposing side for the sake of fighting. However, when a issue or problem occurred that required a strong stance, she went to bat. Divorce is a very stressful event. Looking back I really valued her openness to share the pros and cons of various issues/proposals, and her ability to change tactics based on her knowledge of opposing attorneys. The opposing attorney in my case was known for being rather aggressive and argumentative. At the onset of our legal relationship, Tammy predicted what he would likely do and how we would respond, or even not respond. I can't say enough about Grant Cook, representing me in two different cases. In two separate courts. One case against a landlord. The other a family court matter. I found him to be thorough and an excellent communicator. Kept me in the loop with information as he received it. Chelsea Armstrong came highly recommended related to a matter of my wife being owed an unpaid judgment. In an effort to evade payment, the person that owed the judgement resorted to legally harassing us instead. Chelsea is compassionate and empathetic to parents in custody battles. She looks at the individual circumstances of each divorce and knows when it is appropriate to ask for more or less than the default parenting plan. She has a calm demeanor that is so necessary during a stressful divorce. She really listens to her client’s concerns. She is highly experienced and smart. Chelsea Armstrong was my attorney for close to three years and in that time she helped me immensely. I went through a very nasty divorce that was fueled by a bitter ex. Along the entire process which eventually led to the Oregon Court of Appeals, Chelsea was great. She was very informative of our odds of winning at every stage. She was able to educate me on the case and give me great advice. At each junction I was the one making the ultimate decision with the help of her legal expertise.
Quite often in a bitter divorce case it feels so traumatic and devastating to your life, in that aspect Chelsea was outstanding as well. I would talk to her and every time would feel better, and if I just followed her directions and did as she said I would be fine in the end. My ex had an attorney that just tried to do everything the old school way which inflates the cost. Chelsea really tried to keep the costs down as much as possible by thinking outside the box. I truly believe that you are so much more than just a case number to her. In such a negative climate which divorce can be, Chelsea was the only bright spot and I would give her the highest recommendation possible. I went in to consult with Lindsay after a very difficult breakup with the father of my child. This lady shouldn't be a lawyer. She couldn't have worked harder to get me slammed up State in prison for 45 months. Witch was the wrong sentence for the speeding ticket I had. I was totally appalled and the representation that I received. I should have gotten 30 days and gone on with my supervision.She worked her hardest to get me as far away from the probation office, because they know me and get me to the State court house where there wouldn't have been a chance of doing the probation recommendations because those judges only take the DA's recommendations. It was out of control..... she is completely unable to do her job to the best of the clients ability. I can't believe she was going to put me up for almost 4 years for doing 37 in a 30 mph zone.... she needs to go back to McDonald's or taco bell where ever she got her law degree. This clearly is not the field for her....
