Mr. Sloan Goforth stepped in when I reached out about problems with my previous lawyer. Sloan never once talked bad about the other person, and instead gave me advice for how to proceed with my case.
Needless to say, I hired Sloan within the week. Now, a month later, my matter has been heard and I have received the result I was hoping for.

I made a cardinal mistake in trusting in the law by self-representing during a hostile divorce. Consulted with Dustin on how to fix it and he was upfront and realistic. He doesn't do appeals but helped me finding someone that does (which is much easier said than done in this area). I just wish I would have relied on him before things got bad.

Going through any court experience is hard and when it comes to a custody hearing involving your children, to me, that is the hardest situation to go through. The very first time I had gone to court I was so terrified & could not keep myself from being emotional, to the point I asked for it to be dismissed before it started because I just wanted to go home and hold my babies. If you are a parent whose children are your heart and you need a lawyer for your case, run to Dustin. He listened to me and I felt he genuinely cared about the outcome of mine and my children’s future, he responds to emails and texts so quickly, his paralegal Heather is an angel & quickly became an ear to listen to my concerns and fears and she is always so very kind to me, she always answers emails and phone calls and she talked to me as long as I needed her to just so I’d feel okay again. Dustin represented me in a way that you pray you’ll be represented in any court. When I had to testify Dustin was right there with me throughout it all, calming me down and telling me that I was okay and giving me words of encouragement when I had to read some of the painful things involved in my case. I couldn’t sleep the week before court, but if I would have known how amazing of a lawyer Dustin is and how hard he will fight for you, I wouldn’t have been nervous at all. I will recommend Dustin to everyone. As someone that doesn’t trust easily, I can assure you, you can trust Dustin, you can feel confident that he is great at what he does and sleep peacefully up until the court date no matter what it’s pertaining to because if you have Dustin as your lawyer, your case is being handled by the best and safest person it could be. I found Alex by chance, and I couldn't be more pleased. My now husband and my two boys wanted to make it official and do an adoption. My ex was making it hard to do, even though he had not been in there lives for over 12 years and no child support. Alex didn't give up. He fought for us and got it done. The adoption is official. Alex has also given us advice on other things. The whole office is wonderful. Crystal is amazing and so understanding. If you have any issues I recommend them to the fullest. I used Mr. Griffin for child support issues (twice), and for contempt issues. Everything went extremely well, it was handled exactly the way that I expected it to be handled. I didn’t talk to Mr. Griffin that much, most of the time I was speaking to Sherri. She is absolutely amazing and if she doesn’t know the answer, she will get it for you and let you know. You do have to contact them to keep up with your own case and what’s going on, but I feel like that should be a given for any attorney that you go to. But I would definitely recommend this firm, I have used them twice and will be using them in the future if necessary.

Joanne is a great attorney who is very smart. She is a person who can learn very quckly. I had to change attorney's in the middle of my case Joanne was recommended. She read all of my evidance (8 inch binder full) and court documents before our first meeting and she had down all of the players and the big picture in our consultation visit. Bottom line if you need a family law attorney talk to Joanne she really was the best.

Although they were unable to take our case, they did take the time to make an appointment for us, and sit down and hear us out. No other attorney in the area even bothered to call us back let alone make an appointment. We met with Stephanie Killian, and she was very knowledgeable and personable. Mr. Schieck asked me what I wanted out of my divorce and he got me exactly what I wanted. My divorce was long due to COVID but he assured me if I hung in there he would deliver and he did! I'm very pleased with my outcome and he always kept me well informed and told me what he could do and what would probably happen on our court dates. Mr. Schieck is expensive but well worth it! You get what you pay for!

I would go to Charles for any legal representation needed . He helped me during a difficult family time , he was available to me even giving after hours contact . My situation turned out for the good of my family , but I own a local Salon and I refer everyone to him that needs help and he always goes above and beyond ! He is respected in the community and the courtroom , that is earned not just given freely . Anyone that has a great reputation , works hard and earns and deserves it . My children and I had been going through a very difficult time with several legal issues that came up at once. David was very professional and told us what he thought we could expect and how each situation needed to be handled. He was completely upfront about fees from the beginning and had no hidden or added charges, which I had experienced with several other attorneys in the Iredell county area. His secretary, Tammy, was also very helpful through the entire process. One of the situations was something that I thought was going to ruin my child's life. David came through and got it all taken care of. Now we can go back to living a normal life again. I cannot express how grateful I am to him for all he has done for myself and my family!! Hire him!! I was in an extrememly stressfull time of my life. I was from out of state. I drove to north carolina and walked from lawyer office to office to find an attorney for a huge custody case. As soon as i walked into his office it was warm and friendly. I felt safe to trust this man with helping to control the dection of my childrens future. This case became long and hard. He stood aside me comforting me he will work he hardest. As he did! I did not have much money to pay for services. He worked with me. Jessie Conley made me feel like I was going to win my divorce case. She made me feel like I was on top of the world, BUT all LIES! She does not make a game plan strategy, she had extremely poor communication skills with me, she was very unorganized and did not stand up for me. Come to find out even District Court Judges in Iredell County do NOT like her. I DO NOT recommend her at all. I was so dissatisfied that I got another attorney to try to salvage what little I had left to my name.

If you're looking for a divorce lawyer...keep looking. This guy is a joke. He does nothing. The paralegal is the only one that does anything and the letters/communication/court docs are written at a high school level. He never keeps his appointments. He's always "in court" and the girls in the office give you the runaround. Nothing is ever accomplished. He drags it on and lets opposing counsel have the upper hand. Worst and most unprofessional experience with a lawyer ever!
