I was in need of a divorce attorney and a friend referred me to Dianne Butler‘s firm. She has been amazing to work with because when I first filed, I was living in California. Then, I moved out of state and she was able to handle my case through emails and phone calls all the while, I was 3,000 miles away. She was very clear as to what I needed and what the outcome could be. She was smooth and effective in court and I was able to attend through a telephone call. She helped me attain the goals of what I wanted…..She was worth my money!

I had a really great experience with Lisa and Gabriella. They were both very helpful with my case and helped me get the results I was looking for. Words cannot express the gratitude, the heartfelt obligation she provided for me during my fight for justice. She is the best.
I was wrongly accused of a violation of the law that I did not commit.
I was extremely emotional, I dealt with anxiety and panic attacks. She did not judge me, she comforted although I was having emotional breakdowns. I was able to rely on her judgements, her sincerity and her efforts to fight.
She reassured me my fight was her fight, and even helped me breathe though when I felt like I was an emotional wreck.
What matters the most in the event when I lost one of my twin baby’s to death she made sure she made appearances and decision that benefited me.
I love her whole team because of the whole team put an effort to fight we had case law that was unstoppable and won our writ of mandamus. I am forever grateful and would recommend them to anyone that experience the injustice that I had.

Shaun agreed to meet with me last minute in an emergency situation involving a multi- jurisdictional move-away case. During the last five years, I have been in a custody battle with my ex-husband. My ex was pretty much an absentee father for the first seven years of our child's life, and only came back into her life when she got Leukemia. During this time, my ex decided to get re-married to someone he met after returning to Sacramento. My child was mentally, emotionally, and physically abused by my ex and his new wife.
My ex-husband left the military (approximately two years after re-entering our daughter’s life), and decided to take me to court to get his child support lowered and attempt to obtain custody of our daughter. During this time, he lied and attempted to hide the fact he had a severance pay equal to his yearly salary, and was receiving unemployment at the same time. My ex spent the money on home improvements and furniture for him, his wife, and stepchild, instead of saving the money to pay his monthly child support.
Because my ex-husband was in the military, and had never been in trouble with the law, owned a home, and had a new spouse at home, he looked like a great guy on paper. Meanwhile, I am a single mother who was living in an apartment at the time, working full time, and earning my degree, so my ex thought he would look like a better caregiver for our daughter.
My ex hired an attorney with over 35 years of Family court experience, with a specialty in fighting for a father’s parental rights, and I was Mr. Culbreath’s first Family Law case. Thanks to Mr. Culbreath's legal ingenuity, my ex was not able to hide his income and assets, and was ordered to pay a higher amount of child support than he did before he left the military.
Mr. Culbreath was by my side through every attempt my ex-husband tried to get out of his finanacial and parental obligations to my daughter. Mr. Culbreath also obtained an order banning the stepmother from interfering with my daughter’s medical, educational, and religious needs, effectively making my ex take more responsibility for our daughter. Shaun also obtained a stipulation stating my-ex and his wife are not allowed to physically, mentally, or emotionally, degrade or abuse my daughter any longer.
To make an already long story, short; my ex-husband went through two more experienced Family Law Attorneys’, and Mr. Culbreath chewed them up and spit them out (figuratively), in court. I really had no knowledge of the way Family Law works before working with Mr. Ross. He guided me along the way and helped to clarify the situation is so that I could understand everything that was happening and why. He drafted a fair and detailed agreement that kept everything civil between parties. My first visit to his office I was a bit scared of my situation, just "not knowing" what would happen. When I left his office after my second visit, I was confident, calm, and knew exactly what direction I was headed from then on out. He was referred to me by my father when he had to deal with an unfortunate turn of events in his life. Then I found myself in a similar situation years down the road and it was comforting having Mr. Ross as my "right hand man". No one wants to find themselves in the need of an attorney, but when you do it's great to have someone like Mr. Ross to guide you through.

Thanks to Attorney Joe Coimbra, I now have a SECOND CHANCE at life. I was on that miserable S.O. registry for decades. I visited other lawyers to try to help me, but none of them had a clue. A few of them even tried to discourage me from trying to get off the registry! After all that disappointment, I knew I had saved the best for last when I visited with Attorney Joe Coimbra. We don't know how this attorney is still practicing law.
Client has been the subject of potential stalking; being disallowed from communicating or asking questions. Allegedly, this attorney has breached "The implied covenant of good faith and fair dealings--breaching the contract of attorney-client representation; has attempted to coerce client to to sign a substitution of attorney to show that client terminated the contract when it was the attorney who communicated that he was withdrawing from the case, because the client called him outside of unreasonable time parameters that attorney had recently enacted within much less than 30 days. Attorney has committed so much more maleficence, committing harm to client's conscience with evil intentions and hate, but client will defer.
Any fees that this Guy would try to collect from client, if the court deem proper, would be "Unconscionable Fees".

I couldnt find a lawyer who would talk to me but Guy met me right away and explained in detail why I wouldnt win my case. I didnt think I would but my other lawyer told me to try. He looked over all my med info and explained why I didnt have a case yet but after I turn 55 to get back with him. He gave me papers to have my Dr fill out and talked to me and answered all my questions. He didnt rush and didnt charge me anything. It might not sound like he helped me but other lawyers had me wasting my time! He didnt.

When I hired Guy, I had been fighting the insurance company on my own for about 1 1/2 years. When asked how much the insurance company was paying me, he immediately knew I was being underpaid. He asked for a hearing, and I was awarded back pay in tune of 14,000!!. I was so grateful. Guy knows his stuff and I highly recommend him!

We recently hire Mr.Rodriguez for a DUI case, he did 0 to help my dad with this matter, never returned his phone calls, did not follow after court appts, horrible service, one thing he does for sure he takes your money but never returns a phone call, he doesn't put any work into trying to solve peoples case... my dads case could of being solve and dropped chargers if this lazy, lier lawyer could of fought for his case.. its so sad to have someone in our community that takes advantage like this... so sad but it happens... search for someone else or you only going to pay him to do nothing...

First of all, this entire practice has been useless. I have had the absolute worst customer service when it comes to phone calls, emails, and communication, in general. John first came across as knowledgeable, strong minded, and helpful. That was short lived. That persona ended as soon as I left the building after our first meeting. Once he had my retainer, his communication was lack luster and basically non existent. I asked countless times for explanations on just how this process actually worked, as it was my first time needing a lawyer at all. He never answered questions directly, and the couple times he finally returned an email, they were short, terse, and rude. Because of him and his late responses, my case took over a year, for a simple divorce. His email responses were over a month in between.
He clearly just saw me as a nuisance and not worth his own time. My case wasn't going to render him much money, as it was a simple case to settle, so I gathered he dragged it out as much as possible to charge me as much money as he could. His "assistant" never returned emails or calls. John McKinley is exactly why people have a distrust of lawyers and a general dislike of them. He epitomizes the term lackluster. Do yourself a favor and use an entirely different practice.

I hired McKinley to do my divorce and custody battle in 2010. He comes across as confident, knowledgable, and aggressive, of which he is all three. However, as shortly after the case started, I found him to be abrupt, not forthcoming, and completely unhelpful when it came to strategy. He would gather facts, but would not advise me on how to come across, nor how the system worked. He would answer questions tersely, with the least amount of information possible, which would naturally lead to more questions from me. This information-hoarding created a cycle in which I would rack up billable hours unnecessarily. it also led to mistakes on his part which cost me thousands. At times he was flat-out rude, which i did not appreciate from a hired contractor at all. He was a poor listener, thinking he knew best in all circumstances what information was needed; however, his performance in court was hit-or-miss, as the only times I came out favorably was when the laws were clearly on my side. Otherwise, when it was up the the judge's discretion, I usually came out on the losing end, even when the other party had inferior lawyers. Thinking his familiarity with my situation might help, I re-hired him for child support. What a mistake. He was a no-star lawyer here, and was a complete waste of money. He divulged no information on how to present my situation to the court, and offered zero insight on how the amount was calculated. It was obvious he took the case just to bilk me of more money, as he put little effort into it, just showing up with nothing. I could have had no lawyer present and ended up the same, save the undeserved lawyer fees. This guy is the epitome of what gives lawyers the poor reputation they have, with high fees, no insight for the paying customer on how to come out the best way possible, and a good-old-boy attitude in court with no appreciation for the seriousness of the situation the the client.

I would advise do your thorough research before counsel this office for family law. The entire staffs is dishonest, unproductive and untheical. I am paying dearly today ovee 2 years plus of legal fees with little result. You have been warned.
