I called and was astonished with the fact I got through to an actual person. I have reached out to many other lawyers offices with no luck. I was given amazing advice from William Pettersen for a case. Even though he wasn't able to take my case at this time; I was offered detailed information, what specifics of the law I need to know about, recommended other attorneys, and also gave me notes to pass along for a more professional reference. Kienan was my attorney when I came forward about the sexual abuse that I experienced in graduate school. The perpetrator was a faculty member at a nationally acclaimed university who was also teaching at an elite boarding school. Kienan began working with me at the beginning of the #metoo movement, when the process of exposing abusers felt like largely uncharted territory. I had been in contact with other attorneys who prioritized financial gain over my healing process and even threatened to expose my identity when I wasn’t yet ready. In contrast, Kienan approached my case with the highest levels of professionalism and respect. His strong legal acumen, passion for justice, and regard for my healing process as a survivor made me feel safe and confident in an otherwise intimidating situation. Kienan represented me during a really intense custody disagreement between me and my son's father. A friend of mine who previously worked with Kienan recommended him to me, and I couldn't be more grateful. Kienan was professional, knowledgeable and skillful. Not only is he masterful with his knowledge of the law, his people skills will win over any judge's favor due to his courteousness, graciousness, and humility. My son's father was attempting to win full custody, but thanks to Kienan hard work, attention to detail and experience, I was the one who was granted full custody of my son. On top of Kienan's impressive work ethic, he's simply a pleasure to work with. He was always realnwith me yet respectful. He displayed great deals of empathy for me while I was dealing with this really difficult situation. I have hired Mr. gray on a few occasions that ranged from a simple Quick Claim Deed so I could legally add my new wife onto a property I had previously owned before marriage, to navigating through an eviction process in order to have a tenant removed from my rental property.
Each time I contacted and worked with Mr. Gray I found him to be very curious and helpful in navigating the legal system. I also found Mr. Gray to be quite clear with explaining the options as well as focused on what the desired outcome was while reassuring me that he would handle the tough stuff.

Nikki is one of the best if not the best. Told her multiple times she should be earning two salaries, lawyer's and psychologist's. I got such a deal! Having to go through a situation that requires family law is stressful. You want someone who knows their stuff, can couch you through those stressful circumstances, and alleviate the conflict/stress to come to a good solution. I hired James for an unusual case and he was superb. He listened...REALLY listened, then he asked questions, presented multiple options and allowed me to make the decision on the course of action. Once I did, he methodically prepared prior to court. He compiled evidence, established timelines and culled the information according to how pertinent and impactful it would be. In court he was articulate and firm without being overly aggressive. During cross examination he showed how, when and where the plaintiff had lied. I received an outcome beyond what I hoped for. While the circumstances of hiring James were tough, his work was beyond reproach. I highly recommend him.

Austin truly cares about his clients and you are definitely not just another case when Austin is representing you. He always gets back to you to answer all questions either through email or a phone call or both when necessary. He makes sure to pay attention to details and he will see your case through from start to finish. Austin is truly one of the "good guys" a true modern day Perry Mason mold of a lawyer who will genuinely do his best to represent you and he will not just try to push you through the system like a lot of lawyers want to do these days. He has a five star rating with his communication skills and with his knowledge of Vermont laws. Most of the world, especially at the professional/fancy-degree level, is motivated primarily by money, but Andy was persistently focused on doing the right thing. Not pretending to do the right thing, and not doing the right thing to the extent required by his job, but actually doing the right thing for its own sake.
Andy has a brilliant mind, equally able to make witty jokes and cite obscure procedural rules from memory, and an unheard-of work ethic, willing to focus on a case above his own needs at 9pm or on a Saturday, and still be good-humored about it. He worked tirelessly for us, preparing his strategy perfectly, piecing together everything, thread by thread, until he had a beautiful tapestry that showed the truth of the matter in a direct way.
Andy also does one other thing that is unheard of for attorneys in his (exceptional) skill bracket as well: he is willing to communicate. The entire time, he gave feedback and explanations and was never too important to take a call and genuinely care. Most attorneys of his station will let you talk to the assistant and *maybe* get called back, but the only time his assistant replied for us was when he was out sick and, even there, she was well-informed and gave us some useful information.
Never once did we feel like anything less than real people who mattered, represented by an attorney who actually cared about our outcome.

These folks were fantastic until they weren't. They overlooked at close a Homestead Property Tax refund that resulted in thousands of dollars lost. Vermont statutes state these refunds go to the sellers. A simple escrow fund would have taken care of this. It took months to get answers and several flippant remarks along the way. There advice given was simply to sue the new buyers or complete a withdrawal which would have doubled the $ lost. They didn't even provide a link on how to sue if I had chosen that path. (not) They took absolutely zero responsibility for their oversight and didn't so much as offer and apology for their obvious mistake. Sadly , I would give them negative 5 stars based on my experience.

Our experience with this firm was terrible. They were very unprofessional and remarkably poor communicators. We were clients of theirs until one day they decided to dump us due to circumstances they could not articulate nor keep straight, offering stuttering excuses that contradicted one another. Steer clear of this firm, they are only after the big bucks and the notoriety of richer clients.

As far as I can tell, this isn’t a real lawyer. I’ve called the number and left messages a couple times over the past couple weeks.
1. There’s nothing about the voicemail that even mentions anything about any type of legal anything.
2. You leave you name, number, brief message. Never a call back.
3. Nobody I’ve spoken to in this area has ever heard of James McFaul.

I used Windham law for a child abuse case about 6 years ago. I paid over $30,000 to Windham law. Sadly my attorney(who was wonderful) passed away before the final agreement was made. I explained that I truly couldn't afford anymore legal fees. It ended up being $600...for an agreement that I typed and they transferred and filed (crazy right). I guess all lawyers are greedy but they take the cake! Make sure you can afford to defend your children!!!!!

I used Windham law for a child abuse case about 6 years ago. I paid over $30,000 to Windham law. Sadly my attorney(who was wonderful) passed away before the final agreement was made. I explained that I truly couldn't afford anymore legal fees. It ended up being $600...for an agreement that I typed and they transferred and filed (crazy right). I guess all lawyers are greedy but they take the cake! Make sure you can afford to defend your children!!!!!

She did see me through my divorce, and adequately represented me, but in future issues, I would look elsewhere. I found her to be disorganized, distracted and hard to get in touch with. I felt I had to do a lot of the work myself, and to prod her on many items. She was a realist, and was honest and frank with me. Response time was not a plus with her, but again, she got the job done and did it adequately.
