I was originally charged with a first time DUI as well as 3 other driving charges. I was very nervous as I had never dealt with any criminal charges or lawyers in the past. I had a case come up early this year where my wife decided to move from our home in here in WV up to Wisconsin, and then began divorce proceedings against me up there. Very stressful 6 months for me, but once I connected with Rebecca she helped me manage the whole process, kept me well informed, and kept my stress level to a minimum.
I have worked with quite a few attorneys over the years, and I am not exaggerating when I say that in terms of work ethic, responsiveness, and attitude, Rebecca is absolutely the best of all of them! She almost makes me want to move to Wisconsin, just in case I have more legal issues that require an attorney. Well... emphasis on "almost". :) In all seriousness, I have never, ever seen an attorney that quick to respond to emails, voicemails, questions, etc... she really made me feel like my case was a priority to her, and her counsel was worth every dollar I paid. I wouldn't even think twice to hire her again... done deal.
I recommend Rebecca 150% to anyone needing legal help.

I needed to move out of state for work and hired Rebecca following a consultation with her where she assured me we had a very good case for custody modification.
The timeline was short, so Rebecca had us do most of the legwork gathering third party professional testimony on behalf of our children. During the initial hearing, Rebecca recommended a GAL appointment so the judge could “rubber stamp” that recommendation.
Besides offending the judge, you better pray you’re appointed a reasonable GAL. I was unprepared for the meeting with the GAL, as I had been unable to get in touch with Rebecca ad decisions were being made.
As the trial approached, she went on vacation. I was called to the stand stand and cross examined by my ex husbands attorney (who was ok re litigating my divorce) without a single objection by Rebecca.
Meanwhile, CPS records were ruled heresy, and witnesses to abuse were discounted again without objection from Rebecca.
I lost my case and when the Bill came for a single day in court Rebecca was surprised as she stated she had assumed my parents were paying the Bill.
Please do not fall for the slick sales job. She cost my children a year of unnecessary abuse.

Where do I begin. He is usually unprepared for court, bumbling through papers. Often, he didn’t remember key details or case information when asked by the Judge. He doesn’t appear to care. He lied to the Judge & later stated he hates when Judges make decisions because it’s rarely in the client’s best interests. He inflates his bills by overcharging. Look at billing details carefully - he does them himself. He also makes side deals & you won’t realize it until the other party tells you.. Hire him at your own risk.

I used Tom Barrett for a very complex employment / non-compete case, that also involved high tech computer analysis. Tom is VERY knowledgeable about the law, he is very professional, and worked with me regarding payments for services. I agree he does get personal with clients, however I believe this makes him a better attorney. I would recommend Tom to anyone. He stood up for me in court and fought, and was able to make the case get resolved in a satisfactory manner.

She will go as far as even trying to persuade you with erroneous information to convince you to not appeal your case.
She represented my guy Curtis Brown and ended up causing a mistrial due to her ineffective performance.
This poor man is doing 34 years in prison due to her negligence.
I ask for my casefile and she won't even give me documents that negate my guilt.
Marcella you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself..
When confronted by the Office of Lawyer regulation about emails that allude toward prosecutoral misconduct being withheld. She literally ignored me.
Public defender Marcella depeters is the epitome of what's wrong with America's justice system.

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Yes, Atty Wisniewski's rates are almost half what most other attorneys in the area charge, but you really do get what you pay for. I received very little attention to my case, had to fight to get return calls or to get any information on the status of my case and she was not very willing to actually go out and fight for the few things that were important to me during my divorce case. My case was not terribly complex or complicated, but I hired an attorney because I do not have the legal expertise to do the legwork myself. I wound up having to do most of it on my own anyway, all she was really good for was drafting paperwork. She was all to eager to just settle for what she considered to be "the norm" according to other cases she had done rather than representing my actual interests.
