I came across Jeffrey after our "candidate" lawyer retired, and he suggested we contact Jeffrey. We met with him, discussed the case and he laid out the process and the pros and cons of the entire process very well.
The divorce case took about 10 months to solve the divorce and the child custody. The whole time Jeffrey was always available and kept us up to date with everything.
At the trial, Jeffrey presented bank records and income statements showing the Respondent was hiding income, and the award in the case was very fair and more than expected! Great job.
I appreciated the fact that as the case went along, we worked together to gather facts and he did all the lawyer stuff- and did a great job.

Mr. Graff was FANTASTIC!!! At the first meeting he was very knowledgeable as to my case details and clearly described the necessary procedures that I should expect. He was available anytime I had a question and always responded right away. I never thought I would find myself in a situation where I needed to make sure I had a great lawyer although that day came; It wasn’t until I started working with Steven Edwards that I started to feel hope again for my future. I needed to file for a divorce from my husband, due to a tight budget I had planned on doing the paperwork on my own. Went to courthouse, got paperwork and went home to begin filling the standard information out. Although every time I sat down to work on it, I became overwhelmed even with the simplest question, so I ended giving up multiple times. A friend recommended Steven Edwards to me and encouraged me to call, the minute after I hung up from that first call of just setting up a time to meet and talk was the first time in months that I knew everything would be ok. Steven took the time to listen, to let me know we would take things one step at a time and that he would make sure everything was done properly. I didn’t have a ton of assets or children although he made sure that we still went over all items that needed to come into consideration. Steven helped me through one of the hardest times in my life, he kept open consistent communication while giving me support and letting me know everything would be alright. He treated me as if I was his own daughter having to go through all of this. Stephen Edwards is a genuinely good person and a great attorney. He actually cares about the children involved in his cases. From the day I met Steve he has done an excellent job on my case. I would like to add my child custody case is very complex & extremely frustrating. Steve's cool temperament and fact based approach to family law really helps when you feel like your world has been turned upside down and your worried sick about your child. When it comes to the question of would I recommend this lawyer? I have recommended Steve to a friend of mine dealing with a very scary situation concerning his children moving away to a very unfit environment. Steve took care of this case so fast and my friends children are safe and with him full time as I write this. Lisa Sale was my daughter's court-appointed counsel in a custody matter, my daughter is "special needs" and quite sweet and emotionally fragile. Lisa Sale was a compassionate ear and reassured my daughter's that her voice would be heard which eased her emotional frustration of not being able to explain herself due to her delays. Further, Lisa was always firm and fair to both parents but also made it clear she was representing my daughter's best interest; independent of us. She was a caring and superb legal representative, I am glad the courts appointed her. Lisa indeed made the emotional experience less traumatic for our daughter.

Look, divorce is not a pleasant thing to have to deal with, but the last thing you need is an attorney that you have to wonder about.
Upon my first meeting with Ed, I instantly knew I was in great hands. His knowledge of the legal system in California regarding divorce proceedings is exemplary, and he instilled confidence and peace of mind at a time when I really needed it.
The things that impressed me the most about Ed were his quick response to my seemingly endless questions and the fact that his pricing was extremely reasonable; this is not a guy who will try to gouge you or take advantage of your emotional state. Mr. Matisoff agreed to take over my divorce case a few months ago. He sees discrepancies and knows what actions need to be taken immediately. At my first consultation, I told him I was looking for an attorney with integrity that would assist with a fair settlement for me and my kids in a high conflict divorce. I did not want to have to worry about questioning what I was being told or be left out of the conversation. He told me to meet with my then attorney first to see if a resolution could be found with the current support issue and try to get back on the same page with that attorney. I did as Mr. Matisoff suggested and realized I got more clarity from a brief phone conversation with Mr. Matisoff than I had in a 2 hour face-to-face with my then attorney. My experience with Mr. Matisoff thus far has been unlike that with my former attorneys. I received my monthly invoice today and I am shocked that his billing is more than reasonable. Had I started with Mr. Matisoff, my divorce would have been final long ago, less money would have been wasted and some peace might have been preserved. I don't know that mediation would have ever been possible with my spouse, but I don't think things would have dragged on or gotten out of control. Highly recommended.

One hopes that divorce, courts, pain... will never become part of his life. Unfortunately, it happened, and when it happened to me, I was completely unprepared for it. At that moment, I needed more than an attorney; I needed someone to help me. After interviewing Ronald Stich's office, I selected them based on my gut feeling—a feeling that I am dealing with honest, experienced team and someone who genuinely has my best interest in their mind. And I was absolutely correct.
My divorce process was complicated and took four years due to the COVID-19 closures, overbooked and slow Los Angeles court house, and an extremely difficult ex-partner with the opposing attorney who tried every possible trick to extend the process, pain and cost. I hired Mr. Nakos in the midst of a horrible child custody battle. I had temporarily lost custody of my child due to my ex-husband's lies in court. I was losing hope but all of that changed once I met Mr. Nakos. I hired him during my consultation and he was quick to make me a priority. Mr. Nakos is EXTREMELY intelligent, organized, and most importantly caring. He made me feel that he truly cared about my case and my situation. He fought hard for me and my family with honesty and integrity, and at the end of the day I got 50/50 custody of my child back. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr. Nakos to anybody and everybody. As much as I appreciated Lisa's expert legal insights and her ability to communicate those well, her office operations and paralegal support was lacking in my case. I had numerous paralegals, which caused confusion and delays. Then Lisa was suddenly unavailable (for personal reasons, I think, which can happen), and my case was handed off to a more junior attorney who did not know me, was not especially good at giving support, and who spent a lot of time collaborating with a financial expert that the firm hired to help strategize in some grey areas regarding what was community property vs. my ex's separate property. They had a legal strategy that fell on its face when it was presented to the mediating judge, and this junior attorney had no plan B... throughout the rest of the mediation they gave no help in legal strategy or negotiating advice, but left me to make all the decisions on my own. I ended up with far less than I had been led to expect, and my legal and financial consulting bills were huge. Lisa never reached out to me personally to explain her absence, and when I shared that I was disappointed in how things ended up, she was sadly very defensive of the junior attorney and took no responsibility other than to waive a few minor fees on the final invoice. I think Lisa is talented, but not sure she's good at managing a team. The office seems to have a history of turnover.

I highly recommend Lisa and her wonderful assistant Sharon to get you through one of the most difficult times in your life. Lisa is efficient and trustworthy. She means what she says, and says what she means, in a clear and understandable voice.
