Wow!! I am amazed at what Weber Law Office did for me. First, April. Amazing. I needed help, right away for my son(traffic). I called Weber law because of the ratings I saw online. April immediately assisted me during this emotional time and related. I work in customer, so to engage, and make me feel welcomed is not something that can be easily done. It wasn't transnational, all of my interactions with April and Mr. Weber were extremely memorable. That's what you need when you're going through a tough time. You want to know that you can trust and depend on the lawyer that you're hiring. I called on a Wednesday morning, probably when they first opened. By the afternoon, I had been in office, retained Mr. Weber, and had a court date for the next day. Literally Mr. Weber was able to do a walk in docket, and have the issue taken care of. Afterwards, he visited with me, my son, and mom, and we had a conversation about travel or something.
It's been a little over 2 weeks since I first called Weber law. The follow up has been phenomenal, both email and phone. If you're looking for a lawyer who will actually LISTEN to you, and make sure that you understand the process, with amazing follow through, Weber Law is what I who I would choose. I give Mr. McDowell a 10 star rating. 5 is not anywhere near enough stars. He is professional and I have hired him twice now for custody issues against the same father. I have walked into court confident every single time with Mr. McDowell and he ALWAYS wins my case. You cant believe all ratings that you see posted here. Mr Ray Neighbors, for instance, he is a troll. No offense to him, but do your research. He seems to really hit hard on the legal system and judges. I saw his rating and it infuriated me. Mr. McDowell is by far the best attorney around!!

When I made the determination to retain a lawyer for my divorce, I paid the money for three separate consultations to ensure I would get the best legal representation possible. Save yourself the money and hire Paula from the beginning. When I read the very first letter from Paula to the opposing counsel, I knew immediately that I made the right decision. Between that one single letter and the threat of the exhibits Paula intended to use, the opposing counsel agreed to settle the case without going to trial. I was even surprised to receive money back. Paula did a fantastic job.

Paula instantly made me feel safe and taken care of when I became her client. She and Julie are highly organized and knowledgeable about my case. Paula was prepared for anything the opposing side threw at us, reacted professionally and timely, and remained in complete control of the case. Hiring an attorney who is going to play, what I would say is the most important part in protecting your parental rights and the best interest of your children can be a huge challenge. To make a long story shorter, I had met with three other attorneys and initially hired a firm who had a great marketing campaign and a good pitch man on site, I spent over $1800.00 and all that I got in return was aggravated, before I parted ways with them.
I spent a lot of time on line looking at reviews and reading bio's and talking to a few attorneys over the phone. I can't say exactly what it was that made me decide to go and meet with Paula, but I can tell you that it was the best decision I could have made.
I walked into the office and Julie, Paula's assistant (also a rock star) handed me a questionnaire, I filled it out and waited about 15 minutes and then was walked back to Paula's office. She asked me to tell my story, eventually stopping me, because I rambler and it would have cost me a lot of money, b the time I ran out of words. I mentioned the other attorneys that I had met with... They all told me that my ex wife had my boys the majority of the time, but Paula said "You have your boys 52% of the time, I disagreed and told her she was wrong, she slid a printout across the table and said "Is this your schedule?" I told her it was, she said "Then you have your boys 52% of the time.
I hired Paula, because she cut to the chase, she didn't waste my time and didn't allow me to waste my time, by rambling on about things that weren't relevant to my case. I left her office and before I made it back to my house, she had already contacted my sons private school, to verify what I pay for their school and informed me that I shouldn't be paying any child support. I had been paying for 9 years. The first firm I hired had figured it at $519.00 per month. Also, after having my boys pretty much every Thursday through Sunday for 8 years, the judge would have set temporary custody for every other weekend, but Paula stood up and said "You can't do that your honor" and we were able to maintain a better schedule.
Todays date is August 21st, 2020, I hired Paula in February of this year. We went to trial August 19-20 and I couldn't have been more pleased. She was prepared and to say she presented a very organized case, would be an understatement. I knew that she and her assistant Julie had worked really hard, but I was really in awe of what had culminated from their efforts. Paula was very aggressive in her presentation and didn't let the apposing counsel get away with anything.
We won't know the outcome of the trial until the judge reviews the case, but I can't imagine anything, but success, based on Paula's performance, both in the court room and before. I would highly recommend hiring Paula for any family law issues.

We came to Julia with an emergency grandchild custody/guardian situation that been totally botched by another attorney. This was our last chance so this time we were very careful and got a lot of advice from people who knew the field and knew the attorneys who was available. Unfailingly, Julia's name kept coming up as a recommendation. We were able to get in to her quickly. The fees are expensive but hers were not out of line with what we were expecting. You get what you pay for! She was knowledgeable and personable at our first meeting. Our case went on for close to a year. I felt like she only had us meet with her when it was necessary so she didn't waste our money. She was prompt at all court appearances and was obviously well respected by her peers and the 2 judges we went before. If we had any complaints, and it was only me because I was so emotional, it would have been that she spend a little more time explaining the process and what to expect. In retrospect, she didn't give us false hope. She can be a little blunt but when we were in court I was glad she was. Coming from the medical field, I compared her to a heart surgeon...a little over my head and all business. She was great in the courtroom, in control and she meticulously presented our case in a manner that was professional and convincing. We got the end results we wanted and she saved us a lot of money by working with the other attorney to get an agreement that saved us from another court hearing. Her office was gracious about allowing us to finish paying our bill in monthly installments. I have recommended her to others and if we ever have need of an attorney for something like this again we will be at her door immediately.

I contacted Lynnette Herrman when my daughter's mother met a new guy and suddenly decided to take my daughter out of state. Obviously I was no longer necessary.
We never had a legal custody agreement and my name was not on the birth certificate because I didn't know she was mine until after she was born. Also, we live in a conservative state that leans heavily towards the mother's rights.
Needless to say, Lynnette was fighting an uphill battle from the very beginning. And she told me during the initial consult that this may not be a winnable case. No talking up the sure win just to get hired.
Fortunately for me, she seemed to take the wrongness of the situation personally and fought like a bulldog for my daughter and me. Lynnette was constantly in contact asking for small details during her case research, always digging for the slightest advantage. This paid off enormously when her absolute understanding if our situation aloud her to catch my ex in numerous exaggerations and out right lies. And in court, she argued our case almost as if she was fighting for her own kid.
By the time she was done, I not only got 50/50 time with my daughter but the judge actually made me primary custodian.
Surprisingly, Lynnette was able to do all this with minimal mud slinging in court. I now have a much better relationship with my ex than ever before and that allows us to be much better parents for our daughter.
I would absolutely hire Lynnette Herrman for any legal matters I run into in the future. This lady almost single handedly gave me my family back. There is no amount if thanks that will ever cover that. Hopefully this review well help pay it back a little.

She really knew her stuff and looked at my case from different angles than other attorneys I had talked to. After consultations with two other attorneys before her, I was worried I wouldn't find anyone I liked, but within minutes of meeting her I knew she was the right choice. She was confident but still forthcoming and honest when she answered my questions and I felt very comfortable hiring her. Throughout my case, she stayed in touch whenever needed and worked diligently to uncover all the facts and details about the situation surrounding my case. Ultimately we did win, with what I can only assume was a rather embarrassing defeat for the other side, who thought they had me beat hands down and probably would have with any other attorney on the job.

I had an ex who was less than pleased that I had moved on. He made multiple calls to DCF with lies and fabrications. As soon as I was contacted by someone at DCF, I called Mr. Mitchell's office and got an appointment right away. He took my case and within 2 weeks I had full custody of my children. I had an ex that kept threatening to take my kids from me because she would get mad at me. She also has a few issues she needs to get right with herself. As a dad in Kansas you always hear how it is impossible to gain custody of your kids over their mom. Mr. Mitchell got me custody of my girls and their mom has to be supervised around them until she can get herself right.

Kathleen at first appears gruff, but this is because she does not want to waste your money or time with things she knows will not be relevant to your case. It frustrated me t first until I understood that she is the professional and knows EXACLTY what needs to be addressed and what doesn't. She is simply amazing in court and really makes sure to represent your best interests at all times.
I would hire her again in a heartbeat and have referred several people to her already. Everybody referred to her was extremely pleased with her professionalism and results. She is a no-nonsense, take charge amazingly wonderful attorney. If you simply want someone to hold your hand or lie to you, she is not the attorney for you. However, if you want results and someone that knows family law inside out and is well respected by Judges and other attorneys then she is the one.

I watched a week long second-degree murder trial wherein Counselor Pittman defended his client zealously, vigorously and methodically. It was even more impressive when the jury, in essence, acquitted the defendant, as the verdict came back deadlocked. If I ever commit another felony and get charged with the same, I guarantee you that Counselor Pittman is who I want representing me when I have my day in court.

I had a very difficult case involving divorce, full custody of both my boys and a move halfway across country. The odds were against me. David Hawley was the 3rd atty I called and by far the best. He was confident, honest and made me feel like I knew him my whole life. In 6 months time we accomplished all my goals! I have full custody of my sons, live in the PNW again, where my family is, and (if my bonehead ex can keep a job) a fair amt of child support. This young man is VERY personable, dedicated to his clients and reasonable in cost. He saved me from having a moving violation which would drive up my insurance costs, spent the time to consult me on other legal matters but was honest enough to refer me to another attorney who specialized in what I needed. My wife decided to divorce me after 35 years of marriage. I was very concerned about what this would do to my financial future, and especially being late in my career, my future retirement. I had heard many horror stories about how the laws in Kansas favor the female in a divorce. Only having very limited experience with lawyers, I decided to treat my lawyer selection like an interview process. I scheduled meetings with 2 lawyers to get started. Prior to my meeting with the lawyers, I reviewed all of my divorce papers in great detail. I identified several significant concerns with the terms that my ex’s legal counsel created. My first lawyer meeting was with Desiree Smith.
When I met with Desiree, my first question was about how she was going to represent me. Was I just a lost cause, because I was a male, or was she going to fight for everything she could get for me to protect my future retirement? She reassured me that she was working for me, and she would be doing everything she could for me. She asked me several general questions to understand our financial situation, and then laid out the typical scenarios that could happen in my situation. That immediately set me at ease, knowing that my financial future was not ruined, and that I had a path forward. She then reviewed the terms in the divorce papers. Within only 3-4 minutes of review, and without my assistance, she identified every concern I had about their terms, and a couple more that I hadn’t noticed. At that point, I knew I had found the right person to represent me, and I didn’t need to meet with the next lawyer.
Throughout the rest of the divorce process, Desiree’s experience and knowledge showed in every conversation we had. She could quickly discuss detail, easily recall detail from previous meetings, easily answer questions, and was able to help me think through strategies for moving forward. Every meeting I had with her was very productive.
In the end, Desiree helped get a great settlement for me, and we did it without going to court. I got a far better settlement than I ever thought possible in the beginning, and I feel like I probably got a better settlement that most divorced men. Desiree was a very big part of making that happen. I can’t say enough about her knowledge, and how she could explain legal concepts in ways easy for me to understand. Desiree was very easy to work with. I would highly recommend Desiree to help anyone through their family legal needs!

I have a very good friend that practices law in Wichita. I called him to help me with my common law lawsuit. He referred me to Jeffrey. My friend said it wasn't going to be cheap and these cases are hard to win but that he was one of the best. My advice to anyone reading this review. If you want a cheap attorney and you don't have much to lose, keep looking. If you have a lot to lose then make the investment. If I had it to do over again I would do it exactly the same way. I originally lived in Kansas when my child custody case was created and I have since moved to North Carolina. There were some issues that arose with my daughter and I had to then find a lawyer that can practice in Kansas but would be willing to work with me via zoom. I was a little nervous about hiring an attorney without sitting down face to face and discussing my case.
I called and spoke with his staff to complete my intake paperwork and those ladies were so kind and caring and then after my Zoom call with Tony, I knew that I had found the right person to represent my daughter and I.
Tony is so kind and professional and he truly listens and cares. He was very patient with me during this process and always quick to respond to emails, phone calls, etc. He will fight for you and advocate for you, all the while keeping a positive attitude.
I will continue to use Tony and his staff with any future family law needs.

Since my original child custody agreement was filed, I have moved out of state and once the issue arose and I needed to hire an attorney in Kansas, I came across Tony.
I worked with his staff to complete my intake paperwork and they were so nice, friendly and professional. I then had my first Zoom call with Tony and I was impressed at how he had studied my case and he already had a game plan in mind as to how we needed to proceed. I knew at that moment I had found the right person.
Over the next 6 months, Tony was so patient, understanding and professional during the whole process. He knows the law inside and out and he continued to advocate for us all the while staying positive.

I first worked with Tony several years ago regarding a family law matter. I knew he was gold then and was so grateful he took me on as a client.
More recently, through a series of sad and unusual events, I became the administrator of my ex’s (and father of my child) estate, largely due to some ongoing litigation he had prior to passing.
Tony was my first call when that roller coaster started because I trusted him and knew I would need some help navigating. Through it, I worked with three other sets of attorneys I did not hire.
I can emphatically say Tony is hands down my favorite attorney. Tony has been the only attorney that I worked with that keeps at the forefront that clients are generally not attorneys and that all the not knowing through the legal process is really hard on them. Because the estate had so many moving parts, and I subsequently had a lot of questions, I got to find out how many ways Tony aims at efficiency AND keeping clients informed.
One set of attorneys was particularly awful, and I’m grateful Tony took the brunt of that so that part could get wrapped up sooner than it would have otherwise. The other two were more on the “average” side, but getting information from them was so difficult at times. The one I had the longest working relationship with also does family law, which makes me all the more emphatic in my recommendation of Tony.
He will actually listen to you. He handles the majority of his correspondence and will get back to you in a *very* timely matter, even with a busy caseload. His office staff are absolutely stellar. He really knows the law. (After my first call for the family law matter, as well as what turned into the estate, he quickly ascertained [with little information from me] what was going on and what was likely coming and gave me a spot on summary BOTH times.) Both cases had a moment of needing a strategic move, and what he arrived at was utterly brilliant, both times. He gives excellent counsel. I’ve never felt like I was just another day at the office/paycheck to him. That’s hard to do in any line of work, but especially in one that has so much routine in the day-to-day coupled with clients who are probably having a lot of rough days in a row. His billing is extremely fair, especially given he will not be wasting his time or yours and he will spare you SO MANY headaches because of how he keeps you informed and handles things as a whole. Tony somehow manages to move towards an efficient and fair resolution without getting mired in all the dramatic back and forth it’s easy to get into in a family law situation while still treating you like a person. And he does it all with the utmost integrity. He is the only attorney I’ve worked with that I would hire again (and with a swiftness). What an absolute godsend he’s been!
