David Coombs saved my career, passion and livelihood. My initial request for information from him received a quick and thorough response. After retaining David, he quickly went to work. Once I saw what he was doing on my case, my stress levels decreased significantly. David was a true advocate for me. He worked hard and was always reachable. Best of all, he is experienced, knows the military legal system very well and had the respect of the members at the Flying Evaluation Board as he is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve with over 20 years of service.
David’s use of technology was also very helpful. I enjoyed using the collaborative website that allowed me to see and track the work being done, witnesses contacted and communications with the Command. This system was user-friendly, excellent for organizing the case and streamlined communication between the two of us.

I am so glad we ran into Mr. Coombs and that he, agreed to take our case. My daughter is an active duty U.S. Army soldier serving in South Korea. She was wrongly accused of multiple charges under a 15-6 investigation, this case was a real juggernaut, a 32-page indictment with all kinds of twists and turns. Mr. Coombs quickly reviewed the case and gave us his initial assessment. Even though we were over 6K miles apart, he always made us feel like we were right next door, access, communication and feedback was quick and insightful, questions were tough but reflected his interest and commitment to the case. As the case progressed, we started to realize his defense strategy, its was simply brilliant. At first, I was a little hesitant to engage a lawyer without a face-to-face meeting, but he definitely have proved me wrong. He never over promised but was clear on the direction and kept us informed on possible courses of actions. The final outcome was a complete vindication, this was a relief for our entire family, I was, to say the least, very happy......none; not a single recommendation from the Investigating Officer against my daughter was validated by the decision-making authority, the entire case was basically discarded, she got her career back along with another chance to move forward thanks to Mr. Coombs' outstanding defense.

On August 27th at 2:00 PM EST, I called your office seeking legal advice and assistance. Unfortunately, I encountered an individual who displayed an unprofessional and discourteous attitude. When I initially explained my situation, she abruptly informed me that your office does not handle such matters and hung up without allowing me to ask any further questions.
I called back to inquire about the specific cases your office does handle, as I believe my civil rights have been violated. However, before I could fully articulate my question, she interrupted, stating, "I said we don’t handle this, and I said have a great day," and then hung up on me once again.
Frustrated by this lack of assistance, I called a third time to request to speak with a supervisor. On two separate occasions, she answered the phone only to immediately hang up. When she finally responded, she simply said, "Please stop calling."
I would like to bring this matter to the attention of her supervisor, as this behavior reflects a lack of customer service skills and professionalism. It is disheartening to encounter such a response, especially when reaching out for help in a difficult situation. Individuals who prioritize dismissing potential clients over offering assistance should not be in positions where they interact with the public. As a college student in need of legal help, I expected better treatment.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure others do not experience the same level of disregard.

For some reason I couldn’t reply on the review I wrote but I only asked for a price estimated range because I wanted to be prepared which is a common question anywhere you go not everyone is going to know how things like this work or if it’s worth something so you ask questions to make sure to be prepared. The lady continuously kept cutting me off as I spoke that’s rude no need to leave your number because I’m not calling back to this place another firm actually reached out and I was treated with respect and they answered my question with no problems about the price estimate and was very respectful and herd me out on my concerns. Take notes mabey you’ll learn how to be respectful to ones that come for help to your firm.

I have been with Sawer & Sackel for 3 separate workers comp claims and have been very unsatisfied until recently. Up until Holly took ownership in my cases I was left wondering what was going on. I was the one that had to initiate any and all inquiries into correspondences from the insurance carrier. And I rarely spoke with a lawyer and it was Never the same individual. Since working with Holly things have change my thinking entirely. She has taken ownership in my case and has gone above and beyond my expectations (or at least what my expectations of a law firm should be) and have reaffirmed my choice in a workers compensation law firm. I can’t say Thank You enough to this law firm and Eric Winnert! We live approximately 5 hours from the office and Eric came to our home to get the much needed paperwork signed by my very ill spouse for a mesothelioma law suit. Poor man had to drive through the snow belt in February just to make sure we got what was needed before anything happened. Whenever I have questions and need to contact him, he is always there to give me answers. He has walked me step by step through every part of the process as my spouse was terminal and passed. Even when I haven’t bothered him in awhile, he will shoot me a text with any needed updates on our case! He’s very caring, empathetic , and personable with his clients and their family! No matter what we threw at him he always had a smile and a chuckle while maintaining his professionalism! I became a client of Hurwitz Whitcher & Malloy in November of 2020 due to injuries I sustained transporting equipment to Work from Home during the pandemic on April 7, 2020. I already have a disability, born missing my left limb & no joint in my right thumb. After trying to fight compensation on my own, they consistently denied every procedure that was being requested to get me back to work, my doctor’s office suggested that I get a lawyer.

I am very impressed with Mr. Slepian's work ethic. I consulted him with a question about possible actions to take, and he took the time to thoroughly understand the background of my immigration process. Nelson Torre is a lawyer who assisted me with a traffic ticket for running a STOP sign, which was connected to an accident. His fees were reasonable, and he was readily available to discuss my case. If he wasn't available, his associate would gather all the necessary details and provide assistance. Nelson responded to my emails promptly and kept his word throughout the process.
