I was falsely accused of egregious professional misconduct under the Army’s SHARP program. Due to the notoriety of SHARP in the current command climate of the Armed Forces, that false allegation resulted in me facing not only an other-than-honorable involuntary termination of my military service but also irreparable and irrevocable harm to my professional career. The opprobrium of being labeled a “predator” presumed guilty of false sexual misconduct and the subsequent isolation stemming from the Army’s stance of ‘guilt by accusation’ in matters pertaining to SHARP showed my family and me a new level of hellish fear as we felt the weight of the Department of Defense smothering our integrity, honor, and livelihood. I was referred to Colby Vokey by a trusted friend, and that referral changed our lives. Mr. Vokey told my story; the truthful story. He provided encouragement and support and continuously stoked the will to fight back against the injustice of a system designed to protect victims but that was being weaponized against me. Thanks to Mr. Vokey, I was exonerated of all charges, including an overturn of the “founded” SHARP allegations and subsequent administrative actions, and I was vindicated. Call is picked up by somebody that is making sure I know that he doesn’t want to be answering the phone (weird they would apply for such a position) and I state that I have a military related legal matter. The guy on the phone instantly responds by telling me that they don’t do military law. Contrary to the Google search, all the reviews, the entire website, and all of their social media presence… they apparently DO NOT DO MILITARY LAW. Mind you, I was never asked to explain my case or what sort of outcome I was looking to reach. Just begrudgingly answered the phone and told me, with no knowledge of my intentions, that they don’t do the only thing they advertise. Fantastic. Updating to address his response. They can’t take my case that I have never described to them because they want to play around with the semantics of my choice of words. My (a person with no law background) words that I used when reaching out for assistance with… law. They recommended small claims court on the phone but small claims court caps at $7,000 rather than a half million. Anyways. This guy really said “21 a day? Let’s pump those numbers.”

My very close friend made the mistake of a third DWI. He faced felony charges and deportation back to his birth country (he was born in Vietnam, but raised here since he was a toddler). Due to the immense stress of this pending trial, he even suffered physically/medically.
Jack was very compassionate and even took the time to meet my friend/client, his brother, and even me in his office.

Cia, from start to finish, over an almost 2 year period (including the initial Denial) stuck with the case and me. Constant contact, constant updates.....Very detail oriented, specific, highly knowledgeable and persistant. He told me on day 1, after reviewing my VA medical records that I would eventually be awarded. He was right. My case just NEEDED a Judges review and Hearing. His preparatory brief that was submitted to the Judge in advance of my Hearing was what won the case (that came directly from the Judge's mouth to my ears upon entering the Hearing). I definitely recommend this attorney. She helped me acquire my DACA card last year. My experience was great, and I was always treated well and taken care of at each visit. I have just been released on 2nd degree Felony. All charges dismissed. John Michael Pool had managed to understand a difficult and complex case that involved State Authorities in California feeding Texas D.A. with evidence they knew was coached.
John is my court appointed attorney. After being released, i will be securing a retainer even though from the appearance of his website, they are sometimes not needed.
I still cant believe the charges were dismissed because in todays Legal world, no detainee ever gets released from Child Abuse charges that are false. The D.A. was an Alpha type of guy, John is Brainy and Sharp and was able to demonstrate to the Authorities, they had the wrong guy.
It was sad to see many other innocent men being lead to conviction by their court appointed attorneys.
