Diane C. Haar has a wonderful team, very comprehensive, very prepared. We had social security disability case. The office is professional and prompt in all of the responses. The process went from being frustrating and confusing when I was doing it on my own to straightforward and although it still took a long time, the Attorney and her team was completely supportive, knowledgeable and well informed. We were completely supported all along the way. They are very good at screening the case and they are very honest whether or not the case has merit. Even afterward, when I had questions the office staff was there to answer questions and help with the bureaucracy.

Came to my hospital bed to interview me for my case, the system is backed up but she never failed to keep me updated as to my case's schedule. Worked with me to identify my doctors, hospital records, surgery, etc. and kept it concise and focused on my injury/disability. Also treated me with kindness and her associates are extremely helpful and informative so if you cannot reach Ms. Harr, you will get someone who WILL help you get in touch with her. Jeff is the man you need for the job! I was falsely accused of a sexual harassment case in the Army. Jeff quickly acted and responded back having me appeal and writing a rebuttal to the Commanding General. Overall the case that was initially founded, then was reversed to unfounded. Thank you Jeff for everything you do by standing in the gap for service members in need.

Choosing Jeff was the best choice I ever made to combat the UCMI(Uniformed Code of Military INJUSTICE). I unfortunately fell victim to this and was left with a very difficult choice. I was threatened to be illegally separated from the Navy with no due process in one week's time. The command Jag decided to take it upon himself to illegally withhold evidence so he can convict me of a crime I did not commit. That same Jag told me he knew I was innocent but it would look better on his evaluation to convict me and what can I do since he has the law on his side and I do not.
Luckily, I found Jeff who I can proudly call the "Military Lincoln Lawyer". In no time at all Jeff diagnosed the problem and quickly developed a plan of action to address this and give me a fighting chance. Shortly after hiring the Military Lincoln Lawyer all charges were dismissed and big Navy was made aware that they hired a crook to represent their command.
Do not fall victim to the military's unfair practice of law or to crooks who want to convict you so they can gain career advancement. Call Jeff the Military Lincoln Lawyer now if you are facing legal issues because I can honestly say he will be better than your opposition.

As service members, we have rights guaranteed by Law. We fight for what we have, and we have rights (even during our service). (Let this aforementioned statement emanate) Understanding this with a world class representation will save your good standing for the rest of your life. Well I did just that today and he decided to say he never told me he would take my case in July, August or September… huh??? What are you talking about…? He said his notes say he would give me advice not take my case. Guess what this was a lesson well learned Moving forward everything must be in writing because this made absolutely no sense!!! Along with he raising his voice and wouldn’t allow me to speak and telling him what I wrote down when we spoke 2 months ago.

What a terrible lawyer. I paid $1250 for my case and sat around for 6 months with him telling me to just wait. He kept telling me to do work and then he would look at it and screw up the details as he was trying to edit it. I watched him type relevance and underscores below 11 pages of time line I wrote instead of copying and pasting for an hour and then I had to go back and delete the underscores because as most people know you can't type on top of them. I found out later he charged me $300 for that day. He also charged me for a lot of things that weren't in our contract when I got a bill for an additional $3000. I told him I wasn't paying it because I read the contract and he violated his own contract. Billing more for paralegal time and for phone calls he wasn't supposed to be talking to certain people. He said I was going to have to pay and I told him to sue me for it and I would win because he was a crappy lawyer and broke the contract. That was over a year ago and he hasn't gotten a penny from me. Then he told me he would sue me for libel if I left him a bad review. We'll guess what, challenge excepted. I'm leaving you a terrible review for you being a terrible lawyer who did nothing for me and in the end I was cleared because I was innocent and just sat down and spoke with the investigators and cleared my name against his advice. Almost $1300 down the drain for exactly 2 pages of handwritten notes that are illiterate saying don't do anything. Thanks but I could have done that for free. I wanted a lawyer to be with me by my side but he was always too busy. He would email and then you would respond and I saw he auto deleted your response. He wanted you to respond on a program even he didn't use. He was never available to answer your call and you would be told be his office he would call and then he wouldn't. Horribly unprofessional, unclean and disorganized office place. Find a lawyer that isn't such a wuss and know what they are doing. Go ahead, try sueing me and I'll make you look stupid.

I hired this attorney to file guardianship paperwork for my incapacitated brother. If I had to do it all over again I would not use this attorney and I would not recommend anyone use this attorney. My brother was homeless on the street and this attorney lagged in filing the paperwork to get the process started to get him off the street. He lied about filing the paperwork and when addressed with concerns his response was fire me. Paperwork was never filed until a month after he was hired. A week after a news story was aired on my brother. His team made it seem as if we were waiting for the court to issue a court date but when I called the court they confirmed nothing was ever filed. I was told that because the news story had aired they hoped it would light a fire and get the process started when in fact the whole time they failed to even file the paperwork. This whole time my brother was homeless on the street in very bad health. It’s one thing to be behind on your duties but it’s another thing to lie about it and then rectify the issue with saying fire me when you are addressed with the concerns. Fast forward to today we were notified by the court that the lawyer failed to follow up with required paperwork needed by the court in regards to the granted guardianship. I would not hire this lawyer again and thank god my brother is no longer in Hawaii and in very good health today.

I am a physician and I had dealings with Kirk Neste at this firm. He seemed to be nice at first, and I, in good faith kept my end of the agreement that we had negotiated. After this, he did not answer my attempts to reach him and did not keep his end of the deal. Basically, he lied to me. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend working with a firm that has lawyers like this.

I am a physician and I had dealings with Kirk Neste at this firm. He seemed to be nice at first, and I, in good faith kept my end of the agreement that we had negotiated. After this, he did not answer my attempts to reach him and did not keep his end of the deal. Basically, he lied to me. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend working with a firm that has lawyers like this.

I've had an absolutely terrible experience. He took a 5.5k retainer, my case was moved to Canadian Courts, and now he's failing to respond, not returning the retainer, and appears to be attempting to steal my money.
These actions have been preventing me from acquiring the appropriate legal representation.
I strongly advise staying away from this law firm.
UPDATE:
He ended up padding the bill when asked for a refund of the retainer. Charged me for text messages and emails that he never responded to including messages listed below were I requested my funds be returned.
"You are negatively impacting my ability to secure legal counsel and leaving me with no other
options but to explore pursuing a civil case against your firm.
If my money isn't returned this week, I'll be pursuing a civil case as well as filing a complaint
with the Hawaii State Bar Association. This is absolutely ridiculous." CHARGED me $55.
"Are you planning on returning the funds at all?
It's very concerning that my requests have gone unanswered." NO RESPONSE and CHARGED another $55.
"Good morning,
We secured a lawyer in Ontario to handle the extradition/child custody. Would it be possible to
return the remainder of the retainer? If the case ends up coming to Hawaii, we can send resend
a retainer. Funds are just tight at the moment." NO RESPONSE and CHARGED another $55.

Are you able to help me formulate the response to the OCL report? This is my draft so far.

I think everyone can see the trend. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for a lawyer.

Ed charges 5k and doesn’t do his work for you , he doesn’t return your calls , he doesn’t follow up on emails , he doesn’t answer your email. He says he will meet you and don’t show up or even call .
He is the worse I’ve hear of , warning he will take you for your hard working money , and then send you a bill that is made up of things he didn’t do.

benefits assistance atttorney, Appealed decision of Dept of Human services Hawaii to deny assistance for qualified individual. Attorney did a fair job on the appeal. But what i didn't like as a client was her attitude not to look beyond the scope of what was really happening. After the decision was granted by Circuit court Judge in our favor, DHS needed to schedule a new hearing. I asked for a original document be entered into evidence during the DHS hearing this document said i asked for money while pending a hearing date. I never sign any papers of such a sort. The only papers I signed was at legal aid of Hawaii. They gave me papers to sign to represent me, some of these papers I signed were blank. This paper was one of a few main reason i gave to being right. Days b4 hearing I had ask attorney to ask for documents bcuz i never signed or gave a reason asking for finacial assistance pending hearing. The day of hearing I asked My lawyer did she ask DHS/AAO for document she ignored me. long story short after losing that hearing.
