Debi saved by situation. I called 20 lawyers and her office is the only that picked up. Within a couple of days, she learned about the case and prepared all documents. It was a very difficult and urgent case, but Debi solved it very quickly and very efficiently. Hiring her was the best decision that also saved many nights of good sleep.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional legal representation I received from Mr.Smith. With Facing multiple charges for crimes I did not commit was a harrowing experience, but he provided unwavering support and expertise throughout the entire process. From our first consultation, Mr.Smith demonstrated a deep understanding of the law and a genuine commitment to my case. He was meticulously and thorough through out this whole process. In addition to their legal acumen, he was always approachable and communicative, ensuring that I was informed and reassured at every step. Their professionalism and empathy provided immense comfort during a very difficult time. Within me hiring him and in less than two weeks my charges were dropped , he did exactly what was needed to be done with showing evidence of my innocence and making sure the state had all the correct facts to have my case dropped. I wholeheartedly recommend James Wesley Smith III to anyone in need of a dedicated and highly skilled defense attorney. Their dedication to justice and client well-being is truly unparalleled. Thank you for restoring my faith in the legal system and helping me reclaim my life.

This lady is the bomb! I hired Nancy to address a real estate licensing issue with DBPR. I've consumed a lot of legal fees over the last 35 years (over $5 million) in investment syndication, probate, real estate acquisition & development, hedge fund formation, patent litigation, cross border debt, and international joint ventures. I've never experienced an attorney in any field that was better than Nancy is in her's. HIRE HER.

NANCY has always made me feel like I’m her ONLY client. Even though I hear her phone(s) ring during every call! I haven’t waited more than 15 minutes for a direct returned phone call from her, EVER. From the initial consultation she has always shown complete professionalism. I can tell she genuinely enjoys helping. She’s handled every matter I’ve thrown to her extremely fast and with the utmost professionalism. I’ve also caught emails from her in the extreme early morning to the late evening to quickly handle issues. Over the past month I’ve grown to trust Nancy as family although we have yet to meet in person. She’s represented me as the title company for my recent home purchase, to review/correct all loan and contract issues, and to protect my rental security deposits rightful return. I live in Cape Coral and was skeptical to hire an attorney so far away, but I assure you not to hesitate because of distance. Your initial consultation will show you exactly what I’m talking about. I have not had much contact with any of her assistants but the times I have they have followed through with letting Nancy know I’ve called and always had an upbeat attitude. During the times when you need an attorney life is usually pretty stressful so a simple voice tone can change your day. The happy receptionist and the affirmative voice of Nancy is worth every dollar spent. LASTLY, Nancy does not know I’m writing this review and I’m receiving no compensation or discount whatsoever from this. This is the FIRST review I’ve ever written online so that should speak for itself. Readers my apologies for my punctuation and possible incorrect format. Thank you Nancy! Stay Strong, Tyler O.

I had the privilege of working with Ms. Campiglia last summer. A group of us homeowners used a go fund me account to hire her for her legal services and it was so refreshing to speak to a lawyer who really knew her stuff. Our initial consultation was eye opening as we learned things about HOA laws and the State of Florida laws that we never knew about. Her advice was spot on and her method to get results was amazing. She is calm, but persistent. She was available almost 24 hours a day for us and didn't try to nickle and dime us with billing for quick responses or questions. It truly was refreshing working with her and if you are having any HOA questions, concerns,or problems, RUN don't walk, RUN to Ms. Campiglia. These HOA issues can get harrowing and stressful on residents, but Ms. Campiglia was the the mature adult in the room who knew the laws and had the answers. Thank you Ms. Campiglia, you exceeded all of our expectations

There I was with recently diagnosed with combat connected PTSD, looking at the diagnosis of Bladder Cancer and facing a series of back surgeries that will leave me a cripple for the next 3 years. I was so depressed I wanted to give up. I had filed with the VA, going from one overworked and sometimes ignorant VSO to another. Some were helpful, but now I was overwhelmed waiting on the VA to answer, only to be denied or told I did not have a form filed correctly. My VA doctors were very good to me but way overworked and restricted by so many rules. Frustration and depression do not heal PTSD. Pain and the drugs the doctors plied me with made me a zombie. Only my faith in my God and Savior keep me from ending my life. My prayers were answered by finding Hill & Ponton on the internet. Connecting with Lawyer Leslie D. Gaines has been a great experience. Leslie’s experience, professional attitude and patience in dealing with a crusty old veteran renews my faith in humanity. Her persistence, encouragement and leadership has won the war of many battles I could not have fought on my own. Now I can rest knowing that my wife will be taken care of. Thank you, Hill & Ponton, Ms. Gaines, Adriana, Amanda! It is a joy to deal with professionals with the right attitudes. Semper Fi! Sonny J.

While searching the Internet for a credible, worthy representative to fight for my rights at the VA, I came across the Law Office of Hill & Ponton. I made the phone call, explained my situation, and was immediately assigned Lawyer Gaines. From start to finish, Lawyer Gaines provided the utmost professional knowledge, patience, empathy regarding my rights, the VA process, and how my situation may result in a favorable action for VA compensation. After I signed on to have Lawyer Gaines as my VA representative, she went to work on my case immediately. In the end, the results were favorablly reached in an expedient manner. With the expertise of Lawyer Gaines, VA compensation was rewarded with retroactive pay. If you are still reading this, perhaps you too should seek help from Lawyer Gaines. She has the ability to represent veterans with the utmost respect, with a deep desire for satisfaction. Kudos to Leslie Gaines at the law office of Hill & Ponton!

In mid-2012, I met Attorney Leslie D. Gaines, a practicing lawyer with the firm of Hill&Ponton, P.A., Daytona Beach, Florida. During our initial conversation, I was very impressed of her in-depth knowledge of military law and veteran's VA claims issues. So impressed that during our conversation I asked and she accepted to act as my representative on VA matters regarding my claim for service connected disability. Attorney Gaines diligently worked on my case, kept me advised along the way, and patiently waited for VA's action. After over 4 years, this August 2016, VA's decision finally came. I was granted maximum benefits, 100%, along with retroactive award from years back. I give credit to Ms Gaines' for the favorable decision of my VA disability claim. It is a life changer. Attorney Leslie D. Gaines' has my full trust and confidence. She is my lawyer and I strongly recommend her to any veteran needing a representative involving military law and/or VA disability claim issues. Attorney Leslie D. Gaines is a consummate professional. She is a credit to her profession, bar none.

Mr. White is a phenomenal attorney. I am a police officer and came to him after my department stabbed me in the back, lied and fired me. I knew what they did was completely wrong but no matter what I said, they didn't listen. Once I was fired, the State Attorney filed charges on me. I was getting it from every direction. My livelihood was on the line, I had been a cop ever since I was an adult. The initial findings in my IA would lead anyone to believe I was a bad officer and should have been fired. However, none of it was true but no one knew that and they just knew what was in the IA. I went to Mr. White for help. Once I explained my side of the story, he saw the evidence and saw how the evidence fabricated or skewed against me, he said lets get them! I knew he was the attorney for me. His background as cops cop and attorney was awesome to have. All I wanted to do was huff and puff then call the admin a bunch a bad names. Mr. White took care of it for me so I didn't! He took the City to arbitration over my termination and won. He was able to tactfully point out about the errors and lies the Chief said. I eventually got my job back and was paid all my back pay for the time out of work. As the way the cards played out, I actually went to criminal trial AFTER I got my job back. Mr. White won again. He is incredible. I'd be happy to speak with anyone who was considering Mr. White. Just ask Mr. White you'd like to speak to me and we will be in touch! You won't be disappointed!!!!

A Tribute to an Extraordinary Criminal Lawyer, Vincent Citro Attorney at Law My wife and I would like to personally thank Mr. Vincent Citro for representing our son, saving his life, and our family. When our son was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit, our world came crashing down. The weight of the accusations and the fear of an uncertain future were unbearable. Just when all seemed hopeless, we found the lawyer who would not only save our son’s life but restore our faith in the judicial system. His name is Vince Citro. Mr. Citro, this remarkable criminal attorney, is nothing short of brilliant. From the moment he took on our case, it was clear that we were in the hands of someone extraordinary. His dedication, passion, and unwavering belief in our son's innocence were evident in every action he took. When others saw no way out, he devised a brilliant legal strategy that turned the case around. His meticulous attention to detail, deep understanding of the law, and ability to think several steps ahead were instrumental in dismantling the false accusations against our son. But what truly sets Mr. Citro apart is not just his unparalleled legal expertise, but also his compassion. He treated us with the utmost respect and care, keeping us informed and involved. He was not just our lawyer; he became our champion, our advocate, and our beacon of hope. Thanks to his tireless efforts, our son was fully exonerated, and we have our lives back. It is no exaggeration to say that Mr. Citro saved our son’s life, and for that, we will be eternally grateful. He is, without a doubt, one of the best criminal attorneys in the nation. If you ever find yourself in need of a defender of justice, look no further. This man is not just a lawyer; he is a hero. Bob and Sandy

She got back to me super fast after I called her office. She is so friendly and spoke to me with genuine concern and in a way that I easily understood what was going to happen. Update* first and foremost, I have not had time sharing with my son since I asked Mouse to file contempt. That was 26 days ago. This was the action that Longwell advised against. Then the moment he filed for withdraw, the opposing side figured they don’t have to follow any time sharing. They know he has my $, and they know I can’t hire another lawyer without that $. Second, abusive? How does being disrespectful magically upgrade to abusive? Oh I wrote a review, so you lied. Get over it. Let’s define abuse. Improper use of something. You quit, you’re holding onto TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, with zero legal ability to charge against it, and you refuse to return it to your former client so he can hire a new lawyer. That’s abusing funds. My pool boy returns the money within a week if he doesn’t provide the service. Third, you did not call me Mr Longwell, which means you could not have left a message. If you did, prove it cause I can prove you didn’t. Why would you lie about something so trivial. I’ve updated to include the most recent billing after they quit. It is an indisputable fact that they have now paid themselves more in one month to quit, than any of the other previous months they claimed they did diligent work. I hired Longwell lawyers early 2021 for a paternity trial. It is August 2024, no parenting plan agreement. No Trial, Carson Mouser is withdrawing claiming I am rude and disrespectful. I never hired him, I had hired a different attorney in their firm and my case was eventually “assessed to benefit” from being appointed Mouser. I had no choice in the matter. He had agreed to go to trial, I paid him $2000 to “prepare” and then Mouser requested $10,000 for trial. Eventually the opposition hired a lawyer and requested an update within 30 days or I was going to default. I sent an email to Mouser asking what I needed at the beginning of the work week. He never responded, at all. I sent him two more emails after the mother refused to exchange at the end of the work week, he didn’t respond. I had to call Mousers office, once he got on the phone I had asked him why he didn’t answer me and he said that I sent my email directly to him. My exact words were, “that’s a problem?” And Mouser said he’s done, he’s withdrawing. So I asked for a return of my money, he said to call the office. I call the office and they tell me they will ONLY RETURN MY MONEY AFTER I SIGN CONSENT and then they have 90 days to return it after the motion is granted. I ask for my file and they said they only turn it over after withdrawing. Let’s be super clear. They were paid since 2021 to go to trial. They have 12k specifically for trial. They have made their intentions clear they will NOT go to trial. But will NOT return money they do not intend to use. They are aware I have to respond to the courts within 24 days or I default. Can you imagine your former lawyer holding onto the only $ you had for trial after they filed for a trial date, $ which they don’t even intend to use? I don’t make a lot of money. They know that though. I have been the sole provider for daycare for the entire year, and barely can pay that. I see Mark Longwell has responded to a previous poor review about Carson Mouser. His argument will be I was rude and disrespectful. Even if your lawyers assumed I was disrespectful, their response is to blow the case for their precious client? Hold onto money I’ve paid for trial after filing for a trial? If anything I said here is untrue, you should sue me. Cause I’ve been left with the choice to either pay for a new lawyer, or pay for VPK. $12,000 being held. 40kish more already wasted. I should have never hired them and fired them the moment they stuck Mr Mouse on the job without my consent. I should have just bought oceanfront property in Colorado. The same exact result would be happening right now. No parenting plan, no trial, money for trial stuck with in a useless spot.

I have been dealing with Mark Horwitz and his office for over 20 years for various reasons. Mark is probably the best criminal defense attorney in Orlando.. He is smart, reliable and responsive. When I could not get him on the phone his office always relayed messages and provided responses. I highly recommend Mark and his team for any legal matter on which they are able to represent you. Don't hesitate to retain him.

What a Government Lawyer Can Do for You

A government lawyer specializes in legal issues related to government policies, regulations, and disputes involving public entities. Whether you are a private individual, business, or government agency, a government lawyer provides expert guidance on navigating the complexities of government law. These attorneys handle cases ranging from constitutional law, administrative law, regulatory compliance, and government contracts to defending or challenging government actions.

Government lawyers help individuals and organizations understand their rights and obligations under the law, represent them in disputes with government agencies, and assist in matters of government contracting, procurement, or public policy.

When Should I Hire a Government Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a government lawyer in several situations involving government regulations, compliance, or disputes. Common reasons to hire a government lawyer include:

  • Government contracts and procurement: If you are bidding for or negotiating a contract with a government agency, a lawyer can help ensure compliance with federal, state, or local contracting rules.
  • Regulatory compliance: Businesses operating in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, environmental sectors) often need legal guidance to comply with government regulations and avoid penalties.
  • Government investigations: If you're being investigated by a government agency such as the IRS, SEC, or EPA, a government lawyer can help defend you against allegations or negotiate settlements.
  • Challenging government actions: If a government agency has denied a permit, license, or benefit, a lawyer can help you appeal or challenge the decision in court.
  • Constitutional and civil rights issues: If you believe your constitutional rights have been violated by a government entity, such as in cases involving free speech or discrimination, a government lawyer can help you seek justice.
  • Public policy or lobbying efforts: If you are involved in lobbying or advocating for policy changes at the local, state, or federal level, a government lawyer can provide legal advice on compliance with lobbying laws and strategies for effective advocacy.

Hiring a government lawyer early in the process can help you navigate complex legal frameworks and avoid costly mistakes when dealing with government-related legal issues.

What Does a Government Lawyer Do?

A government lawyer provides a wide range of services that cover interactions between individuals, businesses, and government entities. They can:

  • Assist with government contracts: Helping clients navigate procurement laws, drafting contracts, and resolving disputes related to government contracting.
  • Provide regulatory compliance advice: Offering guidance on meeting regulatory requirements for industries subject to federal, state, or local laws.
  • Handle administrative law matters: Representing clients before government agencies, such as appealing administrative decisions, applying for permits, or defending against regulatory enforcement actions.
  • Challenge or defend government actions: Representing clients in lawsuits involving government agencies, including constitutional challenges, civil rights violations, or disputes over government decisions.
  • Negotiate settlements with government entities: If a government agency is pursuing legal action against you or your business, a lawyer can negotiate settlements to avoid costly litigation.
  • Advocate for policy changes: Advising clients on legal strategies for influencing public policy, including lobbying and drafting legislation.
  • Litigate constitutional issues: Handling cases related to the Constitution, such as First Amendment rights, due process violations, or unlawful government actions.

How Are Government Lawyers Paid?

Government lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the case and the nature of the legal work involved. Common payment structures include:

  • Hourly rate: For ongoing legal matters, such as regulatory compliance or government contract disputes, lawyers may charge by the hour. Hourly rates can vary depending on the lawyer’s experience and location.
  • Flat fee: For specific services, such as drafting a government contract or filing an administrative appeal, some lawyers charge a flat fee.
  • Retainer: For clients who need ongoing legal support, such as businesses frequently interacting with government agencies, a lawyer may charge a retainer fee. This is an upfront payment that covers future legal services.
  • Contingency fee: In some cases involving litigation, such as civil rights violations, a lawyer may work on a contingency basis, meaning they only get paid if they win or settle the case.

It’s important to discuss fee structures with your lawyer during the initial consultation to avoid surprises.

How Much Does a Government Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a government lawyer depends on the complexity of the legal issue, the lawyer's experience, and their fee structure. Here are some general cost estimates:

  • Hourly rates: Government lawyers typically charge between $150 and $500 per hour, depending on their experience and the complexity of the case.
  • Flat fees: For specific legal services, such as drafting a government contract, flat fees can range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the nature of the service.
  • Retainer fees: A retainer for ongoing legal work with government agencies can range from $5,000 to $20,000 or more, depending on the scope and frequency of the work.
  • Contingency fees: In cases where a lawyer works on contingency, their fee is usually a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or damages awarded if the case is successful.

Be sure to get a clear estimate of costs during your consultation to ensure that you understand the fees associated with your case.

Top Questions to Ask a Government Lawyer

When hiring a government lawyer, it’s essential to ask the right questions to ensure they have the experience and skills needed for your specific situation. Key questions to ask include:

  1. What is your experience with government law cases?
Make sure the lawyer has substantial experience in handling cases or issues involving government agencies, regulatory compliance, or constitutional law.
  2. What is your fee structure?
Ask how the lawyer charges for their services - whether by the hour, flat fee, retainer, or contingency fee - and request an estimate of costs.
  3. What are the potential outcomes of my case?
Ask for an honest assessment of your legal options and the likelihood of success based on your specific situation.
  4. How do you handle interactions with government agencies?
Ask about their approach to dealing with government entities and their experience with specific agencies relevant to your case (e.g., IRS, EPA, SEC).
  5. Have you handled cases like mine before?
Ask about their experience with similar cases and whether they have achieved favorable outcomes in the past.
  6. Who will handle my case?
Clarify whether the lawyer you are meeting with will personally handle your case or whether junior attorneys or paralegals will do most of the work.

How to Check the Credibility of a Government Lawyer

To ensure you’re hiring a reputable government lawyer, follow these steps to verify their credentials and reputation:

  • Check state bar association records: Confirm that the lawyer is licensed to practice in your state and has no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Review their professional experience: Look for specific experience in government-related legal issues, such as regulatory compliance, government contracts, or administrative law, on their website or professional profile.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Check online reviews and ratings on platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to get insight into the lawyer’s reputation and track record.
  • Ask for references: Request references from previous clients who have worked with the lawyer on government-related matters to understand their experience and effectiveness.
  • Check for membership in relevant organizations: Look for memberships in professional organizations such as the American Bar Association's Administrative Law Section or the National Institute of Government Procurement, which can indicate the lawyer’s focus on government law.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To get the most out of your first meeting with a government lawyer, it’s important to come prepared with relevant information and documents. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Detailed description of your legal issue: Be prepared to explain your situation, whether it’s a regulatory compliance question, a government contract issue, or a dispute with a government agency.
  • Relevant documents: Bring any paperwork related to your case, such as contracts, permits, letters from government agencies, or notices of investigation.
  • A list of questions: Write down any questions you have about your case, including the legal process, potential outcomes, and costs.
  • Timeline of events: Provide a clear timeline of any relevant events, such as the issuance of government orders or interactions with government agencies.
  • Goals for the outcome: Be ready to discuss what you hope to achieve, whether it’s a favorable settlement, regulatory compliance, or overturning a government decision.

By being organized and prepared, you can help your lawyer understand your situation more quickly and give you the best legal advice moving forward.
