I called because I was having issues with a landlord/tenant. I had called 10+ firms before them and all said they only side with landlords. Then I met Mr. Bradtke! I explained my situation, and was able to berate him with questions. Not only was he super helpful, he took time out of his day to reach out to other firms who have helped people in the same situation as I was going through. He called me back later the same day to tell me what options were. He didn’t even charge me for the help or the time he took out of his day. I HIGHLY recommend using them for any case you may have. My dad passed away march 20 four days before my birthday and than my mother suddenly passed away on July 25 on my dads birthday from a heart attack and underlying heart diseases, she had life insurance and I was the beneficiary, she worked hard and they denied her and failed on so many levels , I hired Troy and he was exceptional and fought so hard for my mom and we finally are going to get it and now my momma and dad will both have a headstone I am forever grateful ! While walking my dog in my neighborhood one Sunday morning, a dog launched himself through a screened window that had a hole in it.
The german shepherd grabbed my arm and mauled me severely while dragging me into the driveway next to the house. After emergency surgery to repair the damage from a compound fracture (including plates and screws) and a stay in the hospital, I began the search for an attorney to guide me through the legal process of addressing the incident.
Because of a previous auto accident when I was represented by Barry Lakritz, and because of the level of trust I had in him and his team, I reached out to his office to see if this would be something they could help me with. Once they saw the pictures of my arm prior to surgery, they immediately agreed to handle my grievance against the homeowner.
I understood how the process worked and that it might take some amount of time to gather evidence and process it through whatever necessary systems (i.e., insurance claim, court, etc). But, Lakritz Law took the time to keep in touch with me and explain exactly what was happening. They even came to the courthouse to view my personal petition regarding the disposition of the animal that attacked me (something they do not legally handle).
Lakritz Law worked quickly and professionally to address all my concerns. In early 2010, our home suffered moderate damage due to a lightening strike. We had homeowners coverage from a major insurance company and had never missed a payment or had any previous damage claims under our policy.
Trying to get the Insurance company to honor the policy turned out to be a living nightmare. The sad truth, we discovered, is that our insurance company found it more economical to deny and fight the
claim instead of honoring our policy agreement. The insurance company had a system in place that included: Contractors that destroy evidence, paid off "experts" and lawyers at their disposal.
Our claim was pretty straight forward, with lightning damage, but we found ourselves in a legal game that we couldn't afford to play. Out of desperation, we contacted McCray law. Doug was wonderful to work with. He's calm and logical about how Insurance companies work and is very experienced in Michigan law. Doug was able to give us a legal presence and a path to a fair settlement. I would recommend the McCray Law Firm to anyone that has had a problem with Insurance company.

Represented me for two criminal misdemeanor charges involving weapons. Was able to get a charge reduced and the other dismissed. At sentencing, he was able to cut my probation time in half and get some of the other conditions of probation reduced. Was friendly yet stern and very helpful. Stephen did an amazing job for our family. I am a mother of two children that are with me over 80% of the time. I had gone to court for what should have been a routine child support adjustment when I was served with a motion to change child custody. My ex-husband brought his attorney to the hearing and I felt completely intimidated. I went to court thinking the records were just going to be updated, and left with the possibility of my child being taken from me. I was horrified and cried for a few days. A few years ago I contacted Ms. Djordjeski as a recommendation from a friend for some house leasing issues I was having.
