I was met with kindness and genuine care the moment I spoke with Jacob on the phone. His personable nature made discussing legal matters much more comfortable. I felt confident Jacob had my best interests at heart throughout the entire process. Jacob had the perfect communication balance by reaching out to provide updates and gather necessary information to handle my case efficiently, but never making me feel overwhelmed or pressured to move forward with something I was unsure about. If I had a question, Jacob explained with patience and expertise, never making me feel dumb asking for clarity. Overall, I highly recommend Jacob for anyone in need of legal assistance. Their professionalism and guidance kept me stress-free during a challenging time and created an easygoing experience that was just right for me. 10/10 would choose again and forever recommend!

My friend t referred me to Jacob and I contacted him about my case involving a road rage incident, he quickly wrote up a retainer, we gathered the evidence including a video of the accident and it was pretty open and shut. He did everything he could to get my wife and I the most out of the settlement he even sent me a no strings attached advance when I came on hard times because work dried up for me as a result of not being able to work a while because of my injuries. I couldn’t see myself ever going to another accident attorney and anytime I hear anyone with a case that is legit I will send them Jacob’s way he really knocked my case out of the park and made me and my wife feel comfortable throughout the whole situation.

I highly recommend this law office for anyone needing representation after an accident! I was hit in a car accident and chose this firm to represent me — I couldn't be happier with the results. Stephanie and Angie were incredible from start to finish. They kept me informed, answered my questions quickly, and made the whole process much less stressful. They genuinely cared about my case, and thanks to their hard work and dedication, we won and I received a great settlement. If you're looking for a team that's professional, compassionate, and truly invested in your case, this is the place to go!

I highly recommend the McNally law firm. They provided excellent assistance to my brother and me after we were rear-ended by a pickup truck. Angie was particularly helpful in scheduling our doctor appointments and ensuring we received timely updates via phone and email. Mr. Frank McNally is an ideal attorney, especially when dealing with insurance companies and seeking fair compensation for damages. He personally called to assure us that he was fighting for our best interests, and he certainly delivered. The team at McNally is straightforward and honest, making our experience stress-free.

Scott represented me in a very complicated case against Anthem Blue. Many other attorneys told me to give up my fight, said I couldn't win, said to give up, but not Scott. He took on my case and he won, BIG! Don't ever doubt that you are alone. If you have problems with your health insurance denying you care, CALL SCOTT GLOVSKY. He can help and will if he is able!

When one of the corporate giants in the health insurance industry wrongfully terminated my family's health insurance during the fight of our life against terminal cancer. Scott and his team fearlessly stepped up and fought a battle against this giant. Scott and his team worked extremely hard for me, they were compassionate and truly cared about the fight they were fighting. I now consider Scott both a personal friend and a hero!

In my case I had very little time left before discovery was cut off. Time was ticking. So prior to hiring Lee Salisbury I have asked him if he will file an RFO to compel further responses, continue deposition, and ask for sanctions for failure to comply with the prior orders. Lee agreed. He said “yes, I will “ . However, right after signing the retainer and paying he went into hiding. I Called and called with no response . I wrote and got no response . He was nowhere to be found. I had a very important RFO hearing. Time was running out and he was nowhere to be found . Then he reappeared a late afternoon prior to the bifurcation hearing. Next day he was totally unprepared and motion was lost. Moreover he spent more time defending the CPA who had failed to prepare Moore Marsden and on premarital property tracing. You may guess that The CPA is the one who has Recommended him , so his primary allegiance was to this non performing CPA v to his client . Lee, who was leading the local bar association, had the audacity to neglect my case to the extent of deceiving me with false promises. Yet he declared that retainer already was depleted and demanded replenishment . Lee billed me and received approximately $9000 for nothing. Talk about fiduciary duties owed to the client. By the way when the opposition filed a response he failed to file reply papers. This is the attorney who is leading a local bar. What do you expect from those attorneys who were led by him at local bar association ? According to recently published alarming corruption matters with the state bar, one can see how attorneys can conduct themselves in such manner . Total utter impunity. My complaint to state bar just picked up and I will get justice whether with state bar or with the court action.

I used Ms. Serine Tsuda for my prenuptial agreement and she is professional, knowledgeable, and transparent on the topics discussed at hand. She was able to guide me in an efficient and timely manner which I cannot thank her enough. At the end of my process with Ms. Tsuda, I was pleasantly surprised that she did not use up the entire retainer and refunded the remaining balance. I have dealt with plenty of attorneys and once you pay that retainer most attorneys will say that there is nothing left over. I really appreciate the honesty and ethics with Ms. Tsuda. I highly recommend anyone in need of attorney services to use Ms. Serine Tsuda and her law firm. Thank you again and your hard work is greatly appreciated!!!

I had a case that required knowledge of out of state laws and jurisdiction. I found myself in need of an attorney because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I reached out to Serine thru a family referral and that was the best decision I could have ever made. Serine and her team were on my side from day one. I was very intimidated, nervous, and extremely scared of the whole court process. Knowing I had Serine in my corner made an almost unbearable and stressful situation seem manageable. I never doubted Serine’s ability to achieve the best possible outcome for me. Serine goes above and beyond expectations. I felt very comfortable sharing the most private details with her because she was easy to talk to and extremely comforting. Serine is professional, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. Serine and her staff were always available to answer any of my questions and concerns. Serine went out of her way to ensure I knew everything about my case and what I was getting myself into. I am very fortunate to have her on my side. If you need a family law attorney and you want the BEST, then call Serine A. Tsuda. Serine has completely exceeded my expectations and I will forever be grateful for what she has done for me.

***Replying to Counts Law Firm's Response*** In our original "free consultation" on 9/11 I made it clear that I would reach out to you when I was ready but you charged me $500 to send me a retainer agreement on case completely unrelated to the case you were hired for. I never requested a retainer agreement from you. They never disclosed that they would charge me for the consolation on 9/11 at any point. You charged me $1000 for 45 min call. If there is anyone thinking about hiring this firm please see the attached invoice. I received a bill from the 9/11 call only once they had my $2500 retainer I paid on 10/25 in hand. This was completely unethical and exploiting business practices by this firm. I have never written a review in my life, let alone a negative review. As a small business owner, I understand the impact a negative review can have. However, my experience with Counts Law Firm was so unprofessional and disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. I gave them every opportunity to make this right, but they failed. I initially contacted the firm for a completely unrelated matter around 9/7/24, I didn't hire them for the matter we discussed. Please keep in mind this was a free consultation. During that consultation, I had a 45-minute conversation with attorney Emahn. Afterward, the firm followed up with several calls, despite me making it clear that I would reach out when I was ready to move forward. Later, I contacted them for a different, business-related issue involving an employee. I simply needed a cease and desist letter sent. They quoted me a $5,000 retainer but agreed to reduce it to $2,500 when I expressed concerns. Their hourly rate was $500, and I assumed I would receive professional, efficient service. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. They used the $2500 retainer to bill/charge for the free consultation, I never received an invoice for the "Free Consultation". On 9/11/24 was the "Free Consultation" they billed me on 10/25, keep reading... From the start, the communication was frustrating and disorganized. I received nonsensical emails that required responses from me when I gave them all the information they needed —and I was charged $125 for emails that didn't make sense. After paying the retainer, I requested a brief 10-minute call with the attorney to discuss the case on 10/29. Despite the urgency of the matter, I was told he wouldn’t be available until 11/5, more than a week later. I never actually had a call with him regarding this matter, which is baffling considering I hired this firm to handle a critical situation. I have had to hire attorneys before and I have never not been able to speak directly to the attorney once my retainer was paid. I knew then this was going to be an awful experience, but the retainer was already paid. requesting my money back would only delay the urgent cease and desist letter they needed to go out. Adding insult to injury, I was charged $1,000 for my *initial* 45 minute free consultation that I never hired them for. See the attached invoice from 9/11 but billed on 10/25 when they had my retainer in hand for the cease and desist letter, they charged me $500 for the consultation and $500 to prepare the retainer agreement I never signed or agreed to. To top it off, the cease and desist letter I needed? I essentially wrote it myself, They made minor edits, "attorney recommendations" and billed me roughly $2000 for the one 3-paragraph letter. The entire experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and felt like a money grab. For anyone considering Counts Law Firm, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was a terrible experience, I strongly recommend staying away from this firm!!

My Wife had an argument  with her sister of the condo they bought together with the down payment of their parents. However the title was on the name of the sister. Sister started to evict my wife.  Bruce assured my wife he would get back the condo. And the other party  would pay the wages.  He conned  my wife to also take responsibility of her eviction case then Bruce charged my wife $30,000 just to lose the case. The other party also took $30,000 from her bank account. And still taking twenty five percent of her wag The condo worth  about $700 Monthly.  My advice is that before signing any contact with these dishonest lawyers be careful!

What an Insurance Lawyer Can Do for You

An insurance lawyer specializes in legal issues related to insurance policies and claims. These lawyers help individuals, businesses, and insurance companies navigate disputes involving insurance coverage, claim denials, bad faith claims, and policy interpretation. Insurance lawyers can represent policyholders who feel they've been unfairly denied coverage, or they can work on behalf of insurance companies to defend against fraudulent or inflated claims.

Whether you're filing a claim, disputing a denial, or dealing with complex coverage issues, an insurance lawyer can provide critical guidance and legal representation to protect your rights and ensure you receive the benefits you're entitled to under your policy.

When Should I Hire an Insurance Lawyer?

Hiring an insurance lawyer is advisable in several situations, particularly when disputes arise over insurance coverage, claim denials, or bad faith actions. Common reasons to hire an insurance lawyer include:

  • Denied insurance claims: If your insurance company denies your claim, a lawyer can help determine whether the denial was justified or if you should challenge the decision.
  • Bad faith insurance practices: If you believe your insurer has acted in bad faith, such as delaying payment or failing to properly investigate your claim, a lawyer can help you pursue legal action.
  • Underpaid claims: If the insurance company has offered less compensation than you believe your claim is worth, a lawyer can negotiate for a higher payout or file a lawsuit.
  • Coverage disputes: When there's ambiguity or disagreement about what your policy covers, a lawyer can provide clarity and advocate for your rights under the policy.
  • Business insurance claims: If you own a business and are dealing with commercial insurance claims (e.g., property damage, liability, or professional indemnity), a lawyer can help ensure your business receives proper coverage.
  • Third-party claims: If you're being sued for liability and your insurance company refuses to defend or indemnify you, an insurance lawyer can help enforce your coverage rights.
  • Appealing long-term disability claims: If your disability insurance claim has been denied, a lawyer can assist in gathering evidence and appealing the decision to get the benefits you deserve.

What Does an Insurance Lawyer Do?

An insurance lawyer provides a wide range of services to assist with insurance-related legal issues. These can include:

  • Reviewing insurance policies: A lawyer can review your insurance policy to ensure you understand your rights and obligations, as well as clarify what coverage is provided.
  • Filing insurance claims: Assisting with the preparation and filing of claims to ensure all necessary documentation is submitted correctly.
  • Challenging claim denials: If your claim has been denied, a lawyer can investigate the reasons for denial and file appeals or lawsuits to challenge the decision.
  • Litigating bad faith claims: Representing clients in bad faith insurance cases, where the insurer fails to act in good faith by unfairly delaying, denying, or underpaying a valid claim.
  • Negotiating settlements: Helping policyholders negotiate settlements with insurance companies to receive fair compensation for claims.
  • Defending against fraudulent claims: Representing insurance companies to defend against false or exaggerated claims filed by policyholders or third parties.
  • Handling disputes over policy language: Interpreting complex insurance policies and resolving disputes between the insured and the insurer regarding coverage limits, exclusions, and conditions.

How Are Insurance Lawyers Paid?

Insurance lawyers typically charge for their services in different ways, depending on the nature of the case and the type of insurance issue involved. Common payment structures include:

  • Contingency fee: For many policyholders disputing claim denials or underpayments, lawyers work on a contingency basis. This means the lawyer only gets paid if they win or settle the case, taking a percentage (usually between 25% and 40%) of the recovered amount.
  • Hourly rate: For more complex or ongoing legal issues, such as bad faith lawsuits or business insurance disputes, insurance lawyers may charge an hourly rate. This rate varies depending on the lawyer’s experience and location.
  • Flat fee: For simpler matters, such as reviewing an insurance policy or helping file a claim, some lawyers charge a flat fee for their services.
  • Retainer: For businesses or clients with ongoing legal needs, an insurance lawyer may require a retainer fee, which is an upfront payment for future services.

It’s important to clarify the fee structure with your lawyer during the initial consultation to avoid unexpected costs.

How Much Does an Insurance Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring an insurance lawyer depends on the complexity of the case, the lawyer's experience, and the payment structure. General cost estimates include:

  • Contingency fees: If your lawyer works on a contingency fee basis, you won’t pay any fees upfront, but the lawyer will take a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or judgment awarded.
  • Hourly rates: Hourly rates for insurance lawyers generally range from $150 to $500 or more, depending on the lawyer’s experience and location. Complex cases involving bad faith or high-value business claims may require significant hours, leading to higher legal costs.
  • Flat fees: For specific services, such as reviewing an insurance policy, lawyers may charge a flat fee ranging from $500 to $2,500, depending on the complexity of the task.
  • Retainers: Businesses or individuals seeking ongoing insurance legal services may pay a retainer, which can range from $5,000 to $20,000 or more, depending on the lawyer and scope of work.

Make sure to discuss costs and payment structures with your lawyer before proceeding to understand how much the services will cost.

Top Questions to Ask an Insurance Lawyer

Before hiring an insurance lawyer, it’s important to ask the right questions to ensure they are the right fit for your case. Here are key questions to ask:

  1. What experience do you have with insurance law?
Ensure the lawyer has specific experience handling cases involving your type of insurance, whether it’s auto, health, home, or business-related.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify whether the lawyer works on contingency, hourly rates, or flat fees, and ask for an estimate of the total cost of your case.
  3. What is your success rate with insurance disputes?
Ask about the lawyer’s track record in winning or settling cases similar to yours.
  4. What are my chances of success?
A good lawyer will provide an honest assessment of your case’s strengths and weaknesses and outline the possible outcomes.
  5. How long will the process take?
Get an estimate of how long it will take to resolve your claim or dispute, as some cases can extend over months or even years.
  6. Will you handle my case personally?
In larger firms, junior attorneys or paralegals may handle some aspects of your case. Make sure you know who will be managing your case.

How to Check the Credibility of an Insurance Lawyer

To ensure you’re hiring a reputable insurance lawyer, take the following steps to verify their credentials and experience:

  • Verify their state bar license: Check with your state bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
  • Review their experience in insurance law: Look at the lawyer’s website or professional profile to ensure they specialize in insurance law and have experience with cases like yours.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Search for reviews on platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to see what previous clients have said about the lawyer’s expertise and professionalism.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should be able to provide references from past clients who have dealt with similar insurance issues.
  • Check for industry memberships: Membership in organizations like the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) can indicate the lawyer’s focus on insurance law.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with an insurance lawyer, come prepared with the following documents and information:

  • A copy of your insurance policy: Bring the policy related to your claim or dispute so the lawyer can review the coverage details.
  • Any correspondence with the insurance company: Provide copies of letters, emails, or other communications between you and your insurer regarding the claim or denial.
  • Proof of claim and supporting documents: Bring any documentation you have submitted with your claim, including receipts, invoices, photos, medical records, or repair estimates.
  • List of questions: Prepare a list of questions you want to ask about your case, the legal process, and the potential outcomes.
  • Timeline of events: Be ready to provide a clear timeline of the incident that led to the claim and any steps you’ve taken with your insurance company.

By preparing thoroughly for your consultation, you can ensure that the lawyer has all the information they need to assess your case and provide the best legal advice.
