I had Bill Bray and Hope Boyles handle the closing for our home sale, and I have to say that it could not have been any easier. I contacted Jose when he worked for another firm a couple years ago. He understood the dire and time sensitive situation I was in. He was honest and up front with me that taking my case on such short notice, while he would do his best, he cannot commit as many resources as he would like given the short turn around time and the other cases on his plate. Having said that, he said he would take my case, but just wanted me to be aware that he might not be able to do the job 100% like he would normally do. But he also referred me to another disability lawyer in case I wanted someone who could dedicate more time to my case.
Ultimately, I chose to go with the other lawyer he referred me to because I wanted a lawyer who could dedicate his full attention to my case. And I successfully won my disability appeal. So it is clear that Jose had no ego in referring me to another very good lawyer.
I really appreciated Jose's honesty and up front nature. And the amount of time he spent helping me even though he got nothing out of it.
If Jose says he can take your case, you can be assured he will dedicate the proper amount of attention unless he tells you otherwise.

I am 53 and have suffered back issues and surgeries for 24 years. I am at the point in life where I can't take much more day to day pain. In researching about long term disability I realized this is not a "game" the average person should play alone. Honestly I did not want to spend money as I have spent thousands on medical bills this year alone. Mr. Caballe made me feel comfortable from the start of the conversation. It was encouraged that my wife participate and he included her throughout the conversation. He pointed out so many areas that I never would have thought about or considered regarding the process of filing and collection LTD. How Social Security most likely will become part of the process and the fact that I do not have to totally stop living to be considered disabled, and ways to handle that. He also told me that I most likely will have additional questions after our meeting and to feel free to call or email him and he will respond. This single outreach says to me that it is about the client and not just the money. He treated us the way both my wife and I treat people. If I need to move forward with a disability claim, I only have one phone call to make and that is comforting.

I had at the VMRC on a matter of great importance to me. This was not a simple case so it turned into a 4 year journey. Over that entire time Jim was always smart, tenacious, experienced, a great listener, and (most importantly) caring. A lot of road blocks popped up over the life of my case. Jim figured out a way over, around or through each one. Jim's deep contacts at the agency, and the credibility he has built up over his many years representing clients before the VMRC, turned out to be a resource that was very helpful in getting my case resolved in highly favorable terms. I retained Brandon for several cases, and if I ever needed representation again, he'd be the first lawyer I'd contact.
When I hired Brandon, my life was taking a nose dive but his extensive knowledge of the law came through for my family. He represented me in my divorce and fought an insurance company to make sure they paid me my fair share when a drunk driver hit my home.
Largely due to his diligence, my family now is doing great and we've moved on from those issues.
The one thing that comes to mind when working with Brandon was my peace of mind knowing that he had everything handled for all my cases. I call him a great defender because, he fought tooth and nail to speak for me. In the beginning I tried to do it on my own and realized it was bigger than me. I even did mediation with party involved through the EEOC, and I felt like I was being bullied. After talking it over with my family, I sought out a lawyer. I met with Mr. Bybee and his team, and they was so kind. He heard my side of the story and said I had a case, so I hired him. From there, every time I had a mediation with the other party he was there to speaks for me. I no longer felt like I wasn't being heard or I was just a small person in a big company. We spoke on the phone and even through email. If he didn't write back right away, I knew he was in court defending another person. When he was done though, he always responded. When my case came to a closing we did settle and I walked away grateful to him. He is a very caring and family oriented man. He always asked how me and my family was doing and even when my case was over, he checked on us doing the holidays. I am grateful to this man and his team. If I have to use him again, I will be calling.

Tracy was very thorough and listened to our needs and her staff was a great support also. My husband was injured in an accident and spent 30 days in the hospital. I contacted Tracy and all my needs and worries were taken care of. I was informed of our rights and Tracy researched a great deal of information to help us with our case. The car I was driving was hit nearly head-on by an out-of-state, unemployed, uninsured, young-adult driver who never responded to his several court summons. I had to have two operations, plus I had to remodel my house in order to accomodate a wheelchair. I needed all the financial help I could get. Tracy knew exactly how to present my case to Medicare and to my backup Federal BCBS insurance, as well as to my car insurance company. Had I been on my own through this paperwork nightmare, I may have had to sell my house just to pay my bills. I was getting a lot of pain medication and I could not concentrate well...her patience and courtesy to me were outstanding.

I had a question on my new home purchase about LTV and was very confused on the next steps, that's where I sought consultation with sack and they did a free consultation and advised me clearly on my options and very knowledgeful on the subject. The whole consultation over phone was free of cost. I can't expect a much respectable law firm than sacks.

Mr. Brown was very good about taking me through every step of the process. Even though my case was not the kind where my career was at stake, he treated it with the utmost seriousness and was very professional. I was airlifted to UVA after an accident in which I have no memory of even entering the vehicle. I spent 3 weeks in the ICU & 2 days in a regular room. I only have some memory of the last two days.
The "trooper" at the scene of my accident did everything he could to find some crime with which to charge me, even after I had a boot clot in my lung almost causing my death in the ICU, & they suggested to me that this is what had happened to cause my accident.
Why would he do this, you may ask? Because, even though I am a gunsmith, Glock Armorer, & have taken many NRA & other Advanced Hangun Courses & instruct friends & family privately, I was carrying more than one gun! Though the second gun was unloaded & in my pocket & in the LEAST powerful pistol cartridge in the world, even though I had a permit and have held one for YEARS & harmed NO ONE, though my wounded Grandfather killed the Nazi that bayoneted him & I carried this ancient relic as a reminder & "good luck" charm, even though it is so old, unreliable, & underpowered as to be USELESS for self-defense, this man who calls himself a VA State Trooper was determined to "get me" with the ONLY thing he could come up with from which I could not defend myself -wreckless driving! You see, I have NO memory of the event whatsoever, have driven that stretch of road hundreds if not thousands of times safely, & I could think of nothing whatsoever to defend myself. I was guilty until proven innocent!
Having used Victor in the adoption of my daughter years before, having had him successfully handle a divorce case for a LE close friend of mine, I retained him again to represent me in this matter.
I went to court, Mr. Santos conferred with opposing council & the "state trooper," & then patted my shoulder & suggested we speak outside. Upon leaving the courtroom, he informed me that the case would not be heard for some time; but I did not need to stay, as it was going to be dismissed!
Soon after, I received a letter from Victor stating that the case had been dismissed; but it also warned that a stenographer had been present for some party that claimed I was responsible for their far less injury.
They did sue & the insurance company settled with them. It is much easier to find someone guilty by a preponderance of the evidence in a civil case than it is to find them guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a criminal case. My insurance company's attorney represented me in the civil case, & lied straight to my face about what was & was not going to be said. That said, Mr. Santos did an excellent job throughout what I retained him to do, as he does for everyone; I would hire him again in a second & will always recommend him to any innocent person I meet who is in need of the very BEST attorney!
The "state trooper" even SUGGESTED TO MY WIFE, as I was being loaded into a helicopter & on death's door, that I was running from something, tying to commit suicide, etc! He said this to my grief-stricken wife as I was leaving one hospital for another, thinking I would surely die! I had a broken neck, a broken back, broken. ribs, was crushed on my left side with a rib THROUGH my left lung, my right lung was collapsed, & I had a brain bleed. The "trooper" had thought me dead at the scene & even talked about calling his superior to report me so, as I was unresponsive! With probably more qualifications than HE had, veterans & former LE throughout my family & a circle of friends who are either milititary, ex-military, LE, former LE, or some combinations thereof, this man who calls himself a "Virgina State Trooper" set out to crucify me!
Remember, "Troopers are for your protection!" Well, not this one! He delivered my "ticket" to me, as I was barely able to stand, still in my bathrobe, & told me the same as he told my wife: "There was NO evidence you were exceeding the speed limit!" He then wrote the exact opposite in his report & LIED in his testimony at the deposition!

My case is still ongoing. I have been litigating before the Alexandria Circuit Court since 2013. Rich came on board Sept 2017 and very quickly was able to obtain an important ruling on a critical case issue. The guy is just amazing, very knowledgeable, known and respected in the Virginia legal community, personable and easy to talk to. Calm and smooth in Court. In Virginia you must have an attorney who can make a case in the written pleadings as well as in oral arguments. Rich excels at both.
