Pick Murray. Here is WHY:
Murray was recommended to me by an unavailable lawyer whom I'd reached out to for guidance. I was upset at first but decided to contact Murray anyway. He provided a free, phone consultation in which he walked me through the whole process of applying for my husband to be a US permanent resident. After the phone conversation, I asked for a second call and sent several emails with follow-up questions. Murray was patient, kind and made me feel confident about the process.
Fast forward, the filing process was a breeze with the office's online portal. My husband and I constantly communicated with Stephanie (paralegal) and Oscar (legal assistant). We were kept updated with all changes regarding our case. We completed the process, as recommended by Murray, and were approved for a green card and SS card in 3 months. The whole team treated us well, and we are thankful for the smooth experience.
Personal update:
Our case was very straightforward. Here is our situation and how we filed if potential clients of Murray may wonder:
I am a US citizen and my husband is a Canadian (former Indian) citizen. We filed for his permanent residency so that we may live together in the US. We provided all our documents with the initial filing to avoid any delays. We filed for the Green Card, SS card, work permit, and travel document all at once. We included my husband's medical examination as well. We did have to complete a biometrics appointment (took 10 minutes tops), but the immigration interview was waived. My husband received his Green Card before his work permit or travel document applications were processed. Hope you have a great experience and good luck!

To keep this short, I was in quite a mess with 4 misdemeanor charges and one felony charge in two separate counties. Rick immediately went to work despite the many road blocks I encountered from the get go and the over all complexity of my case. I was wrongfully accused of a Title IX infraction. Marc is an exceptional listener and possesses the innate ability to ascertain facts from friction. After discussing my situation, Marc walked me through the Title IX process and explained how we should address the issue. Marc assisted in drafting a response letter to the adjudicate and coached me leading up to the interview. In the end, the accusation was not a Title IX issue, and flaws and false accusations in the claimant's testimony surfaced in which the case was ruled in my favor. I would not have known how to respond and properly defend myself without Marc’s assistance. Finally, Marc was always responsive and his fee for service was reasonable. I hired Marc Chavez for a Title XI case I was named a Respondent for. To put it briefly, he was incredible. He was present at all of my interviews with investigators and provided me with useful legal counsel throughout the entire process. Marc without a doubt is in a class of his own. On the day of our hearing, the Complainant tried pulling a fast one on us by having a surprise witness show up to testify against me. Marc handled the situation amazingly. He managed to stay calm and continue to present our case in a clear and concise manner. Contacted Ms. Icenhauer-Ramirez on the recommendation of a friend. She was everything the friend said she would be (see Review Title for qualities). She told us what to expect and what the approximate timeline was. Linda was an amazing attorney. I have had other attorneys in the past who can't even compare. She actually cares about her clients and is extremely nice. She was very responsive and great at keeping me up to date on what was going on. Nervous about my case, I consistently had questions and she was prompt to answer them. I came to Linda with a class B misdemeanor when I was already on probation and did not have a clean record in the past. I thought I was more then screwed. I my case I was arrested for possession of cocaine under 1 g and a misdemeanor Xanax charge. So I was looking at a felony and a misdemeanor. I have had a previous felony in another state which we all thought was going to be a factor in the final outcome. Channing being quick to move was able to get the misdemeanor dropped and the felony was dropped down to a misdemeanor. The reason that this was a great outcome was because I did have a previous felony. Whether you have the disease of addiction that has you caught up or you just got in trouble I would recommend Channing Neary. I believe that she takes every case is very personal and I believe she is very competitive. If I don't see fire in a lawyer I damn sure won't hire. She is straight up and I'll tell you how it is and extremely polite and kind at the same time. But when she gets in that courtroom then it's showtime because she knows your life depends upon it!

As the parent of a teen (who made a dumb mistake and got into trouble), I found myself in a panic during the middle of the night trying to locate an attorney w/ juvenile / legal expertise. After reviewing many websites and analyzing attorney bios, David was a standout. He did not disappoint. From our first meeting, his expertise and articulation to us of the JV legal system and subsequent strategy resulted in a dismissal. His flat fee was clearly stated and reasonable. Retaining a blue chip attorney like David was very reassuring during a very stressful time especially, when there is a lot at stake. The impact of JV issues in background of your teen can certainly leave a negative "stain" or interfere with future opportunities if not handled properly. David is now assisting with the follow up for sealing the case and advising us regarding the delicate nature of disclosures as need for many applications for college etc.. To the person who gavce one stars, after carefully reading your reviews, I can only conclude that your experience either took place in the space of your mind or simply is the best of mud slinging. My attorney was fully open about the likely fees, and in fact capped them when they reached a veryu reasonable level. Most importantly, in this respect, my case was resolved after they capped my fees. In my book, thats a double dose of integrity and trust. So, my opinion - fully knowledgeable about the law, fully knowledgeable about the process, the way things polay out, the judges, the prosecutors, etc. As well, completely in command of the inevitable ups and downs the process navigates. You get the law, the context surrounding the law, the playbook, and the play with this firm. Couldn t be any better, and got a better resosultion than hoped...thanks to solid crafting. Couldnt recommend any more than this folks.

Jack recently represented us in a CPS trial. It was a tricky case that involved another family as well as our own. We were terrified but Jack absolutely came through for us. Neither myself nor my husband had ever been involved in any sort of legal problems before and he was there for us every step of the way. As awful as our situation was, we thought there was no way we would lose our case because we hadn't done anything wrong. After an initial hearing (with another attorney that was friends with Jack and referred us after the first hearing), we realized just how serious our situation was. Apparently civil cases don't need the burden of proof that criminal cases do to convict, and with our children being threatened, well, there just aren't words for what we felt. Jack walked us through the entire process and his knowledge on the topic of family law was intimidating to say the least. I hope that no one ever has to experience what our family experienced but if you do, you could not place your trust in a more deserving individual. He absolutely knows what he is doing.
Just to add, I will say that we were initially put off by his office because I think we expected some nice, spacious room with a bunch of furniture that never gets used, plants all over the place, etc., and I think we called him entirely too often because of our inexperience with attorneys but he was never impatient with us and always returned our calls as soon as he was able. Oh, and for anyone familiar with CPS, even though we lost the initial hearing, our case was, for all intents and purposes, over only a month later. Even though we didn't have another hearing for 6 months, we did everything Jack asked us to which showed the Judge that we had nothing to hide. CPS allowed our children home well before the closing date of our case.
