Vanessa Samano is simply the best there is for child custody cases, specifically high conflict. I would highly recommend Vanessa for any type of divorce or family law case, but specifically if you have a need for representation for Juvenile Court. Vanessa has the relationships with the courts, judges, and other attorneys across East Tennessee. She is highly respected and knows the law, but mostly she cares about the families she represents. I could not have asked for someone who believed in me and my case more. She will be honest, even when it's not what you want to hear. She will encourage you to always do the right thing and to not just check boxes but legitimately follow through.
Vanessa helped me navigate a complex divorce followed by a difficult custody case in which I obtained primary custody. As a single Dad, this was not easy even though the facts were in my favor. My advice, without reservation, is to not just hire Vanessa Samano, but to listen to her and do what she says. If you are not willing to be honest or take responsibility, Vanessa is not for you. However, if you want someone to help you navigate a complex system in an honest but tough and caring way that puts the best interest of children first, then Vanessa is right for you. She will continue to be my choice for representation in all future custody matters, and has already been recommended to several friends and family members.

From our first phone call to the office, till our last court appearance Vanessa and everyone in the office was wonderful. I hired Heidi for a modification seeking joint custody of my 4 year old daughter. The mother of my daughter and I were never married. This made my situation bad as far as any given rights by the state. Heidi had my case settled in a timely manner and fought the court system to keep my daughter for moving 400 miles away wifh her vindictive mother. She helped mme expand my rights to a joint custody agreement and did an awesome job keeping me up to date prepared and ready for anything that could be thrown at me by the mother, which was alot! I could not have done it without her. Her prices are competitive but we'll worth what you papat for. I will never hesitate to do business with her again.

Mrs. Cummings represented me in a criminal case and plea-bargained it to probation with no jail time. Because I had a driving offense and lived in Knox County, I wanted to get unsupervised probation rather than supervised due to my not being able to drive and not living in Blount Co. It took several attempts to get the Asst. D.A to agree to this, but she prevailed! Long afterward, I had another case due to not paying the fines and costs and she again stepped forward to handlie the matter as well and satisfactorily keep me from having to serve jail time. She's competent, diligent, and apparently can effectively negotiate with the Blount Co. D.A's Office. I couldn't have asked for any better. As an appointed attorney, she didn't have to go any extra lengths to satisfy me. But she did. I call her a "go-to" because she can get things done. If you need an attorney, you too should go-to her.

MAKE HIM WRITE EVERYTHING YOU HIRE HIM TO DO IN YOUR CONTRACT. DON'T TRUST HE WILL DO IT ON HIS WORD. HIS CONTRACT IS VERY MISLEADING.
I hired him to get a declaratory judgment on my legal status and he charged me $15,000.00 up front and assured me he would find out what court we needed to go to. So I signed his contract and paid the $15,000.00 . The contract he produced for me to sign alluded to going to court but the way he worded it I had no way to enforce it when he changed his mind about my representation. After six months all he had done was to produced two letters and after the second letter he got a response from the other party and then told me he could not do anything else. He sent me to another Attorney to file a complaint in Federal court and refused to refund any of the $15,000.00.
I filed a complaint to the TN Board of Professional Conduct and Mr. Isaacs hired another Attorney to represent him, who then offered me a $3,000.00 refund on the fee. I told him I felt Mr. Isaacs had only done about $3,000.00 worth of work and I would like the full amount of the UNEARNED fee back.
To this day I have not been refunded any of the fee I paid Mr. Isaacs
and the complaint I filed has been dropped by the board.

I am a single mother of 2 children, father showed very little interest in our children and had many addictions . After father tested positive for drugs and proof of how mentally unstable dad was she made an agreement to allow our children to be supervised by grandpa who left them alone with father while he was intoxicated. Ms. Bodie, gave me terrible advise and put my infant and toddler in harm's way. She did not show up for court and sent her paralegal who told the judge " I dont know the case well enough to answer that question" even the judge responded "then why are you here" I was also wondering the same thing. I was still charged for that day also. Many emails of not being responded to. Ms. Bodie has no idea what she is doing and charged me for a bunch of paperwork that she never showed or had signed by a judge so therefore, I could not use a single document in future court situations. She was not bold, she had very little knowledge of what my rights were, and did not fight for me or my children. Honestly,
this lady is heartless and money hungry. Shame on you for taking advantage of me and my children knowing our situation Meghan... After almost 4,000 dollars later, she did not help me further my case but actually set me back almost a year and a half and STILL have not established child support and father is still playing games and not responsible for following anything court or lawyers requested. It seemed like Meghan was not for me but for the father. I also know another family that she screwed over big time and put their foster child in harm's way when they wanted to adopt and give this child a better life. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER OR HER LAW FIRM. I'm surprised that she had positive reviews.
