My family hired Kavita in 2018 to handle the probate process and updating of estate documents after my mom unexpectedly passed away. Kavita's kindness and thoroughness were a lifesaver during an incredibly difficult time. She had the patience and knowledge to ensure that the probate process was as smooth as can be. Also, she was with us every step of the way to update all of the documents pertaining to the estate in the same detailed and thorough manner. We hired Kavita again in 2021 when we were looking to set up an LLC for a new line of business. Once again, Kavita came to our aid and took us through every step of the process with patience, knowledge, and insight to ensure we had all of the documents we needed for our new business. And while going through the process of creating what would become our Operating Agreement for our new business, we learned a lot from her as well! We will definitely hire Kavita again for future estate planning as well as when we set up our next business venture to make sure we have all of our I's dotted and our T's crossed - we know we can count on her to listen, to help guide us, and to execute our needs flawlessly.

Kavita... a good lawyer? I think more, but you tell me. It's difficult when you have to count on a stranger at the worst moment in your life. It's a terrible feeling. Weather it be a death, possible loss of your freedom, some type of lawsuit. Having to instantly confide in and trust a stranger; whom additionally you are having to pay..... that can be tough to swallow and deal with. I lost my mother and nothing seemed fair or right. Kavita made the probate process make sense. She wasn't doing a "job". She was helping a stranger get through the toughest point in their life with understanding, compassion, patience, explanations and knowledge of law. When I paid for a lawyer I paid for and expected someone to help me quickly and efficiently close out my mothers estate. I got that.... but i also got a shoulder to lean on for strength when I needed it most, a voice of reason that dumbed it down enough for me to understand when it didn't seem fair and I didn't get it, someone that put me back in my place when I got out of line because of my pain... I got so much more than a lawyer I am forever grateful. My family continues to count on Kavtia today. Kavita tells you what you need to hear but more importantly cares what you heard. Kavita is a great person and better Lawyer.

I used Jim as a business contracts attorney many times in my career. Jim Amschler knows the law, but more importantly he knows business. Jim understands that business needs and the law need not be at odds with each other, and he works hard to find ways towards a win-win solution. Ultimately, Jim Amschler goes out of his way to make sure that you, the client are provided prompt and superior service. I gladly recommend Jim to you.

I have had a bit of experience in hiring an working with attorneys in business. It is rare that Counsel provides a client with effort that meets and exceeds expectations. I hired Attorney Amschler to help me as a plaintiff in a case involving unfair trade practices, fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract. I was up against a very high powered Washington DC law firm. The following are the reasons why Jim has earned my business, trust, confidence, and my highest rating, : Prior to taking on my case, Attorney Amschler was committed to doing thorough research into the matter, the local statutes and practices of the court. Attorney Amschler presented me with practical information, which was well articulated giving me the confidence that he knew what he was doing and that had a clear method for developing a winning strategy. After retaining Attorney Amschler. He spent a great deal of time reviewing the evidence for the case and writing a bulletproof complaint. There was no doubt in my mind that after judicial review of the pleadings the court recognized the merits of the case and swiftly moved the action forward because of real preparedness. Throughout the the process of motions by the Defendants, Attorney Amschler provided leadership and calm resolve. He provided pinpoint accurate case law which refuted all of the defendants false claims. He also provided me with many more hours into my case than he billed. In the end the defense folded in pretrial conference and my settlement was more than twice what I expected, far exceeding the original contract. All I can say is "Thank you Jim!"

My husband and I bought a car from a used car dealer in early 2024. Obviously it didn’t go very well! After months and months and MONTHS of waiting to get our title, (we truly gave them way too much patience) we finally decided it was time to proceed with legal action. I honestly just searched “car title fraud lawyer dallas texas”- the first two firms we reached out to instantly declined to work with us. Matt took the time to consult with us in detail before deciding whether or not to take our case, and thank god he did, otherwise we never would’ve ended up getting our money back! We were at the point that we didn’t even want the car anymore, we just wanted the whole thing reversed, and Matt helped us achieve that. Our fraud dealer was doing god knows what while stringing us along and Matt really dug deep to figure out just what in the world was going on- the car hadn’t been inspected in the last THREE years, so they never should have sold it to us in the first place, and could not transfer the title to us. He told us straight up what our best options were every step of the way, and was extremely understanding and willing to work with us when scheduling conflicts arose (my husband is active duty military and was actually deployed while we were working everything out). Working with Matt feels like having somebody who is truly in your corner, fighting enthusiastically for you. His confidence in his ability to do a good job and right whatever wrong has happened is infectious- and true! If you’re in a similar position, waiting for a title from a fraud car dealer who just won’t get it done, I honestly cannot recommend Matt enough. Hiring him to represent us was the only bright spot of this entire fraud title debacle.

My daughter and I purchased her first vehicle that she saved her own money up for and we paid in full cash for the vehicle from what we thought as a reputable dealer. Turns out the used car dealer went out of business shortly after our purchase and never transferred the title into our name. Furthermore, we learned from the state that there was still a lien on the vehicle from the previous owner. After a quick google search on title fraud, we found Mr. Valeriane and set up a time to meet with him to discuss our case. In that meeting, it was clear to us that Mr. Valeriane knew how to handle cases like ours. We reviewed what to expect throughout the process of suing the dealership. Mr. Valeriane was very experienced and knew the process inside and out, explaining each step to us. We felt he was the right individual to handle our case. Mr. Valeriane was able to achieve a successful outcome to our benefit. He provided us updates throughout the process and was quick to answer our questions along the way. While our patience were test, Mr. Valeriane assured us there would be an end eventually. If you ever have an issue in getting your car title from a dealer, give Mr. Valeriane a call to know your options. We are so thankful we found him on google and this nightmare for our daughter is behind us!

I purchased a vehicle from a used car dealer over two years ago. I met the dealer at the auction house in Dallas and found the vehicle I ultimately purchased. Aside from certain repairs the dealership promised to pay but never did, I NEVER received title to the Vehicle. After trying to contact the dealer multiple times about the status of the motor vehicle title transfer, I came to terms that I was being ignored and that title would never come. I googled “car title fraud attorney” and found Mr. Valeriane. Mr. Valeriane is an attorney who specializes in suing used car dealers that sell vehicles to consumers but never transfer the car title. I have never sued another business so I wast a little hesitant in getting involved in a law suit. Mr. Valeriane explained the pros and cons of filing a lawsuit and I ultimately decided to move forward. I’m glad I did. Mr. Valeriane was able to get me back the money I paid for the vehicle even though two years had passed. If you’re still waiting on your car title, being ignored by the dealer, and do not think you can afford an attorney, give Mr. Valeriane a call and explain your vehicle title situation. If he cannot take your case, he may be able to lead you into the right direction. Thanks again Mr. Valeriane for all of your hard work! You’ve earned another great review from a very satisfied client. Regards, Christian 😃😃😃⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My experience with this law group was amazing. Garrett, who was my lawyer, was very professional and reliable. He always was available to answer questions. His assistant Candice was also very knowledgeable and was always ready to answer any questions. They were always there to ease my mind anytime I would get a letter. I have recommended this law firm to several people already and I will always be grateful for all they did. They are the very best. I don't think that I can ever find better people then them.

Immigration can be complicated, we need to prepare and send so many documentation, attend to fingerprint session, interview, adjustment of status, etc… You need a lawyer that is responsive and accessible. Someone that is there for you! I only have good things to state about Maria 1) She is super responsive, you sent an email, 10 min later you have an answer! 2) She is excellent on getting all the paperwork organized 3) She is always on time 4) She keeps track of everything, you will not miss any details on any case. If you are looking for a lawyer, stop now, you will not regret having Maria by your side

I have not had the need for their law services. However, I did call to ask about a package left at a neighboring office. Kelly is SO nice! You couldn't get any nicer. Thank you for being so sweet, professional, and willing to help.

I thought the Jackson Spencer Law group had done a very good job of finding where I could best benefit from the unjustified termination of my job recently. I give them a five-star rating for their efforts in this matter. I am sure, provided there was concrete evidence found, they could have negotiated much more than was finally negotiated. They remained in contact with me every step of the way and advised me as well on the best course of action to take. Although I believe there is more to my case than just a simple mediation process, such as a lawsuit if brough in front of a physically presence Judge. The entire process was conducted by computer communications, so was the termination, which I believe one law circumvented the purpose and effect of other designed to protect my civil rights. Basically, the AT Will employment law circumvented and went around my civil rights by allowing a termination without cause. This was the case, and they had to deal with it as best they could without the benefit of having the preponderance of evidence to invoke judgmental decision as would a physical presence (sitting judge) with all parties' presence. There is a big difference between hiding behind a computer and having a physical presence when making such a type of decision. More is revealed both by body and the preponderance of evidence presented. Hats off for the Jackson Spencer Law firm for their success in getting me more than was offered. Thanks

I had a mediation with him. He seemed to want to prove he was right rather than help resolve the case. He is ill-tempered, has awful people skills and at times was even insolent on a personal basis. His personality is the exact opposite of what you would look for in a skillful mediator.

What a Litigation Lawyer Can Do for You

A litigation lawyer specializes in representing individuals, businesses, or organizations involved in legal disputes. Whether you're the one filing a lawsuit or you're being sued, a litigation attorney will advocate on your behalf throughout the entire legal process. Their goal is to resolve disputes, either through negotiation, settlement, or trial. Litigation lawyers can help with a wide range of disputes, including contract disagreements, real estate issues, employment disputes, personal injury claims, and more.

Litigation lawyers provide strategic legal advice and manage all aspects of your case, from filing motions to representing you in court, ensuring that your rights are protected and that you have the best chance of achieving a favorable outcome.

When Should I Hire a Litigation Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a litigation lawyer if you're involved in a legal dispute that you cannot resolve on your own. Common situations include:

  • Breach of contract disputes: If a party to a contract fails to fulfill their obligations, a litigation lawyer can help you seek damages or enforce the agreement.
  • Business disputes: Litigation lawyers can represent you in cases of partnership disagreements, intellectual property disputes, or business fraud.
  • Employment disputes: If you're facing issues like wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, or wage disputes, a litigation lawyer can help resolve these matters through negotiation or court action.
  • Personal injury claims: If you've been injured due to someone else's negligence and are seeking compensation, a litigation attorney can help you pursue your case.
  • Real estate or property disputes: When there are conflicts over property ownership, boundary issues, or lease agreements, a litigation lawyer can assist in resolving the dispute.

Hiring a lawyer early in the process is beneficial, especially if a lawsuit seems imminent or you have already been served with legal documents.

What Does a Litigation Lawyer Do?

A litigation lawyer handles all aspects of your case, from the initial investigation to the trial and even the appeals process, if necessary. Their role includes:

  • Case assessment and investigation: Analyzing the facts of your case and advising whether it’s worth pursuing or defending.
  • Pleadings and motions: Drafting and filing documents to initiate or respond to a lawsuit, including complaints, motions to dismiss, and answers.
  • Discovery: Gathering evidence, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests, to build your case.
  • Negotiations and settlement discussions: Attempting to resolve disputes through mediation, arbitration, or settlement talks before going to trial.
  • Trial representation: Presenting your case in court, examining witnesses, introducing evidence, and making legal arguments before a judge or jury.
  • Appeals: If necessary, filing appeals to challenge or defend the outcome of the trial.

Litigation lawyers are also skilled negotiators and often work to resolve disputes outside of court to save time, money, and stress for their clients.

How Are Litigation Lawyers Paid?

Litigation lawyers typically use a variety of fee structures depending on the type of case, the complexity of the legal matter, and the financial circumstances of the client. Common payment arrangements include:

  • Hourly rates: Many litigation attorneys charge by the hour, with rates varying based on experience and geographic location.
  • Flat fees: For specific, predictable legal tasks (such as filing a motion), lawyers may offer a flat fee.
  • Contingency fees: In personal injury or other cases where you seek damages, a lawyer may work on a contingency basis, taking a percentage of the settlement or award if you win.
  • Retainer: Some clients pay a retainer fee upfront to secure ongoing legal services. The lawyer then bills against this retainer as work is done.

The exact structure should be discussed in the initial consultation to ensure you understand how and when you'll be charged.

How Much Does a Litigation Lawyer Cost?

The cost of a litigation lawyer varies significantly depending on the nature of the dispute and the lawyer’s experience. Factors affecting the cost include:

  • The complexity of the case: More complex litigation involving extensive discovery, expert witnesses, or multi-party suits typically costs more.
  • Time spent: Litigation cases can be time-consuming, especially if they go to trial. The longer the case, the higher the legal fees.
  • Type of fee arrangement: Hourly rates can range from $200 to over $1,000 per hour, depending on the lawyer’s reputation and location. Contingency fees generally range from 25% to 40% of the settlement or award.
  • Stage of litigation: Cases that settle early in the process are often less expensive than those that proceed to trial or appeal.

It’s crucial to ask about cost estimates during your initial consultation to avoid surprises.

Top Questions to Ask a Litigation Lawyer

Before hiring a litigation lawyer, it's essential to ask key questions to ensure you're choosing the right representation:

  1. What is your experience with cases like mine?
Ensure that the lawyer has experience handling your specific type of dispute, whether it's a contract issue, personal injury, or business matter.
  2. What are the potential outcomes of my case?
Ask for an honest assessment of your case's strengths, weaknesses, and the likelihood of success.
  3. What is your fee structure?
Clarify how you'll be charged, whether by the hour, a flat fee, or on a contingency basis.
  4. How long do you expect my case to take?
While it's hard to predict, an experienced lawyer can give you a rough estimate based on similar cases.
  5. How often do you settle cases versus going to trial?
Some lawyers are more inclined to settle, while others may be more experienced in the courtroom. It’s important to understand their strategy.
  6. What is your approach to resolving disputes?
Some lawyers prefer aggressive litigation, while others focus on settlement or mediation. Choose one whose approach aligns with your goals.

How to Check the Credibility of a Litigation Lawyer

To verify a litigation lawyer’s credibility, consider the following steps:

  • Check bar association records: Ensure the lawyer is in good standing with the state bar and has no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Online reviews can provide insight into the lawyer’s professionalism and track record.
  • Look for litigation experience: Review the lawyer’s website or professional profile to ensure they have handled cases like yours and have a record of success.
  • Request references: Ask the lawyer to provide references from past clients who can speak to their effectiveness and approach.
  • Research their trial experience: If your case is likely to go to trial, ensure the lawyer has a history of courtroom success.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make your first consultation with a litigation lawyer productive, you should prepare the following:

  • A clear outline of the dispute: Provide a timeline and key details about the legal issue you're facing.
  • Any relevant documents: Bring contracts, emails, letters, or any other documentation that pertains to the case.
  • A list of key players: Provide the names of individuals or companies involved in the dispute.
  • Questions about fees and the litigation process: Make sure you understand how the lawyer plans to approach your case and how you will be charged.
  • Your goals and expectations: Be clear about what outcome you're hoping for, whether it's a settlement, compensation, or another resolution.

By coming prepared, you can ensure that your initial meeting with the lawyer is both efficient and insightful, giving you a better sense of how to proceed with your case.
