Tiffany was great! While my issue was not picked up for representation she did provide sound legal advice during my consult. Jack was thrown into my case, which was an extraordinarily complex issue involving retaliation from a multi-billion dollar tech company & the laws regarding pay for "on-call time", about midway to summary judgement. The (also very talented) lawyer I had originally hired had received a higher calling from the White House that could not be ignored, and so Jack was thrown into the fray. Jack spent an inordinate amount of time with a MASSIVE amount of evidence to plow through and did so admirably and without hesistation or complaint. I was able to receive a considerable sum offered in settlement without having to drag myself through another potential few years of litigation. This allowed me to put the anger aside and get on with the business of living my life, which to me is worth more than gold! Jack is an excellent listener, who allows his clients to vent as necessary, but will not hesistate to tell you things that you *need* to hear, as opposed to things you *want* to hear....which is exactly what most people treading the waters of employment law require. All together a stand-up guy who will fight for your rights, tooth and nail.

Jack is a very talented and outstanding attorney! We were up against some high ranking military officials and when other attorneys may not take on a case of this stature, Jack stepped in and fought vigorously for me. He always kept me up-to-date regarding what was happening with my case and always provided me with great advice when it came to me making decisions. In the end, I won my case, we settled out of court and I was very pleased with the settlement package Jack negotiated for me. I was in awe with Jack’s talent… amazing!

Tom represented me in a serious criminal matter. This was my first time having any sort of run-in with the law so of course I was very anxious. Tom was compassionate and is a truly generous man. But do not for second believe this man is not a wise and aggressive defender. He will fight hard and work his tail off for you. It is as if the law is second nature to him. He is the expert you want on your side. Tom was able to get me a much more doable sentence. He is a straight shooter and will not waste your time. He also will keep you informed every step of the way.

Tom represented me in a DC criminal matter in 2012, resulting in a major reduction in a serious charge, a dismissal, and, ultimately, the charge being removed my my record. He is very responsive to calls/emails and an all around good person.

Mr Abbenante represented me twice in criminal matters and is currently serving as my civil attorney. Just a "WOW" all around. Ryan Brown and his assistants were the loveliest people. I got an appointment quickly. Will and other estate planning documents were all in draft form at my first appointment (they will provide a questionnaire prior to your appointment and draw up preliminary documents). Mr. Brown is easy to talk to, he explains things brilliantly, he listens attentively, his expertise is evident.
At our final meeting I was provided with a wealth of information supplementary to my legal documents including a personalized emergency contact wallet card. Mr. Brown is incredibly thorough. I can't recommend him more highly. I just wish I had more legal needs so I could meet with him and his staff again.

After having a first ever encounter with police, pulled over for a traffic violation, and issued a speeding ticket along with a reckless driving charge, we asked around and our family friends recommended to contact Mark Cummings, at law firm Sher, Cummings, and Ellis. With the excellent assistance of Adam Collins, Mark listened carefully to our story, identified the alleviating circumstances and took careful and systematic steps to approach the case. He established and maintained communication with the police and prosecution, suggested a driving habits course to be taken, and made an excellent presentation of the case during the actual court hearing. Mark succeeded in dropping the reckless driving charge to a speed ticket and above all with clean DMV records. We would definitely recommend Mark for any case in Northern Virginia / Washington DC area.

I called Dan to get a prenup.
1. He spent 75 minutes on the phone recounting prenup basics and legal history (all of which I could've googled) then charged me $487.50.
2. I email asking for next steps. Dan emails me an engagement agreement that said "ADVANCE FEE OF $32,000.00 is due immediately as the fee advance." I tell him this is not what we agreed upon during the call and ask if it was a typo. He responds with something along the lines of 'just sign it'.
I decided to use helloprenup instead. I didn't feel comfortable moving forward after this experience.

I can’t begin to convey how much of a lifesaver, estate saver, Mr. Dodge has been. My aunt died in February and left a very messy estate. Just after being appointed, the executor developed a life-threatening illness and needed to be replaced. Mr. Dodge learned of my situation from another attorney and called me on a Sunday morning to offer his help.
Despite his busy schedule and the immediate and overwhelming needs of the estate, Mr. Dodge kept the estate out of foreclosure and enabled me to honor my aunt’s last wishes. From the beginning, Mr. Dodge was very supportive and responsive. Not only was Mr. Dodge a great source of legal knowledge, but he was invested in the outcome. He and his staff were very hands-on, answered all of my questions and helped me to remain positive throughout the whole process.
He is smart. He is kind, very professional and easy to work with. I can’t imagine a better person to be in my corner.
