If you truly want to save your home from foreclosure, you need Margery Golant on your side. Her wealth of knowledge about the mortgage industry is incredible and she will fight for you with every bit of that knowledge. I do not think we would still be in our home today had it not been for Ms. Golant’s tenacity and the fact that she cares deeply about her clients and their ability to remain in their homes. Many, many nights laying there next to my wife, shaking instead of sleeping.
The feeling of abject failure and the loss of so many years of work and dreams.
My initial mind set when I got behind on my mortgage was “I didn’t pay and I deserve to get foreclosed”. It certainly is a pretty straight line to that opinion. And you can rest assured that the so called judges in the Foreclosure Court, who are appointed, not elected, by and large believe this is true too. The long process of defending ourselves from the loss of our family home, which was the repository of every bit of our income (beyond consumables) for most of our lives, was an eye opening experience and some hard lessons about the law and in particular lawyers.
Lots of lawyers will line up to take your money, and as much of it up front as they can get you to pay. I have more than several acquaintances who paid eight thousand, ten thousand dollar retainers. This was quickly burned up on ticky tack back and forth with the bank/servicer and then they lost their homes. One leader in my scout troop found out she was going to auction 7 days before it happened and her family of 5 had to move in with her mother in law.
I’m here to tell you what you need is a Knight. On a Crusade. And that is who Margery Golant is to her clients. When she says: “I am personally disturbed to see consumers being taken advantage of…” she really means it and I have seen it many times in our long and SUCCESSFUL battle to not be foreclosed. Ms Golant had 3 judges disqualified from our case for public comments they had made that clearly showed the bias so prevalent in Foreclosure Court. She had our case removed from the Foreclosure division and put in Civil, where the judges answer to the voters, and care that the decisions they make are legally valid. She had the Service of the foreclosure thrown out 6 times. She fought a brilliant war of counter tactics and strategy that went on for well over 9 years. It seems crazy looking at it written here. Meanwhile my kids grew up in their home and thrived. Words can’t express our gratitude and if you are in this terrible situation, believe a survivor that this is your best choice for representation.

I'm a middle aged guy. I only mention that because no matter how optimistic your point of view, the margin of error for mistakes in judgement shrinks as you get older. It's like a pilot who couldn't successfully get out of a stahl, just because he was too close to the ground. He knew what to do, but there just wasn't enough time to recover (I fly a Cesna 152).
I recently signed a contract to sell my house. In the weeks prior to the closing date, I got a sobering understanding of the state of the real estate market. Houses were absurdly expensive. Sure I sold my house for good money. But now what ? Too late though, I signed a binding contract. Can't get out of this stahl, not this time. The buyer was paying cash, and already had $250K in the escrow. This is as a done deal, right ? As it turns out on the day of closing, there was a discrepancy or misunderstanding on the buyers side, which my very astute escrow attorney pointed out. I was referred to attorney Richard Gaines. Since time was of the essence, he was communicating with my escrow agent and buyers attorney within the hour. That same day, he wrote a detailed email complete with contractual references. The buyers attorney had our very well written position within a couple of hours the day of the closing. I was impressed with my attorneys swift analysis, strategy and execution. By the end of the week, I was released from the contract and got my house back ! I highly recommend Richard Gaines as a skilled and effective advocate in time of need.

Mr. Bender was hired to carry out the eviction of a tenant who had not paid rent for several months. He was able to consult with me the very next morning after I called his office, and he fully explained the procedures to be followed as well as the timetable. The amount of his fee was reasonable and he got started on the case right away. The case was handled just as he said it would be and there were no surprises. The tenant was evicted within the time frame that Mr. Bender told me it would take. I was very pleased with Mr. Bender's legal talents and his personality. I want to add that he told me that although he was very experienced (more than thirty years) he could not guarantee or promise the result i wanted since there are many factors and circumstances that must be dealt with in each case and each case might be different from the one before or the one after. He told me that he firmly believed he could help me and he was right! The tenant was evicted within the time frame that Mr. Bender told me. Mr. Bender also told me that while he did practice in many areas, he did not do everything but that if I ever need legal work done that he did not do himself he would probably be able to refer me to someone else who could help me. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an experienced attorney who explains beforehand what is going to happen, when it should happen, and the pros and cons of doing things one way compared to another.

Warning! Do not use this service for your most prized possession that you plan to patent. Highly unorganized and inefficient. I spent a pretty penny upwards to 20K for what the examiner in the beginning assured me was patentable and novel. My case passed through the hands of several attorneys and paralegals, none of which are currently employed there in a 3 years time frame. Each time said assigned attorney filed my office actions in response on the actual date of deadlines which left them ill-prepared. Every time I received response from the USPTO, due to the lack of credibility on behalf of their staff, my file had more and more rejected claims until there was nothing left to make it resemble my original intention for the invention when we started in Feb of 2021. If I could receive a refund for every single dime I ever paid out, that would be more than one could hope for. I've never been so disappointed in all my life. The reason I trusted the Patent Professor was for the same exact cause they sorely let me down and betrayed my trust. In the spirit of protecting the public interest, enter into an agreement with this firm at your own risk, how the pace was set, I can tell that here the benefits will not outweigh the risks. If the USPTO was going to deny and reject every claim and office office over the last 3 years, they should have never taken funds after the examiner in office gave the green light to proceed. This is something that should have been better litigated, which was never proven that they even showed up to work. So, yes, while no one can say for certain what will happen...I've seen better family law attorneys fight for their client's future and win without the client having too much worry. However, they showed little to no interest in mine. Half the time, it'd be weeks after I've called them that I'd get the generic run of the mill excuse as to why my case has not progressed along. I'm in much worse financial position than before I started. I now regret that I did not seek out a private attorney who could manage their case load without all of the "we're understaffed", and probably overpaid excuses. A client should never have to hear excuses when it comes down to professionalism, only results. I kinda feel misrepresented for my Naivete strings for sure. Don't let it be you concerned reader! Don't put your family's legacy in the hands of this firm! Can any of you guess what I could've done with an extra 20 K that I have nothing to show for but a final denial letter, why would i pay them another 4k for them to respond on a reconsideration in the same manner, when they've had 3 times to perfect this work? I'm really not sure if Mr. John Rizvi reviews the cases that find themselves in jeopardy of failing like this. I only seen or heard from him through a email video. It should not be so easy for lawyers to fail on their promises to deliver at all. You have to pay upfront, to guarantee you get scammed good I guess. If it was a hard fought effort I might understand, but too many times I was informed on how I could just as easily decide to abandon my case. But the more money you put into something the more you ask, "if I was not a promising pursuit why would they charge so much to begin with?"

Upon hiring Mr.Deutsch I believed that he would handle my family and I case with no problem. Here it is 5years later no clear answer and no communication and lie after lie after lie. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy of an enemy. I trusted this lawyer to help me, but he treated me unfairly instead. I hired this firm in May of 2021 to help me with a mold problem. They submitted the civil suit September of 2022, and was final by November 2023. This lawyer showed no compassion towards my situation, and did not fight for what was deserved. Almost 2 months after the settlement, and I still haven’t received my check. This lawyer continues to ignore my calls and he has truly made this journey horrible for me. The time lost and mental distress that this has caused me is unfair, and it hurts to know that this lawyer just doesn’t care.

In my opinion, and based on my experience Scott Gelfand was the absolute WORST attorney I have ever hired. He was very nasty, arrogant, and quite frankly unbearable to deal with. He liked to boast about how great of an attorney he is, which in my opinion was a big fat lie based on the his poor results. I felt like he thought he was a legend in his own mind. I think he really should to look into the mirror, and admit how awful of a job he did and apologize. Bottomline, in my opinion, all he cared about was moving things along slowly, so that he could charge his wasteful fee's based on his terrible results!

I used them for litigation and they don't communicate well nor review documents with you before they file them. When they felt weekness they withdrew from the case leaving me worse off then when we hired them. Additionally, they let motions sit for months without requesting hearings and let the other side run all over us on a case Joe Garrity claimed was a slam dunk and sold me on how this is there speciality. There only speciality is deceipt and when things get tough they run the other way.
