From the outset, Mr. Matthews and his Associate gave a realistic appraisal of the difficulty of this type of case. His whole firm was quite supportive. The Defendant and her Defense Attorneys tried many times and many ways to derail my lawsuit. Mr. Matthews was undeterred by all of their legal machinations. In the Courtroom, his legal arguments won the day, hearing after hearing, and he batted
a thousand. The Judge threw out every Defendant's maneuver and commended Mr. Matthews and his firm on their integrity, and thoughtful legal arguments. We ended up in Mediation in less than two years. At the outset, I gave Mr. Matthews a figure I was willing to settle for. His efforts yielded an award 3x larger than I had said I would be willing to settle for. Craig T. Mathews and Associates has been filing mechanic's liens for our company to secure payments from contractors who have been building water and wastewater treatment plants for municipalities. We sell pumps for handling sludge and metering a variety of treatment chemicals in these plants. This is about $4 million in billings per annum for our company. We believe that this service has allowed us to reduce our accounts payable by close to $1 million. Before we started using these liens, contractors made numerous counterclaims and back-charges against us. Many were also slow in paying the performance "holdbacks" that are part of these contracts. The liens are a way that we can counter these claims. In fact, since we have started using this service all of the frivolous claims have essentially disappeared. This law firm can file in any state in the USA. Our firm is active in every state in the USA, as well as Canada, and most of Latin America.

I recently had an issue with my insurance company not wanting to pay an auto claim. It was a complicated case that involved bad faith on the part of the insurance company. Mr. Marquis took the case and we won. His knowledge, experience and professional insight proved to be what I needed. This case would not have been resolved, let alone resolved in my favor had it not been for him. I came in for a consultation about a legal matter involving my company. She assessed my situation and gave great recommendations on how to strengthen my response to the legal matter. She was very knowledgeable with the situation I was dealing with and thought that how I was planning to handle the matter would likely be sufficient and that hiring an attorney may not be necessary for now but I may want to do so later if new situations arise or if the way I am dealing with the matter doesn't seem to be working out. I wanted to pay her for amazing help but she said that though it would be in her best financial interest to say that she could take all the information about my case and draft up a response, she thought my response seemed good and they weren't the kind of law firm that would try to entice clients to retain them if their help wasn't necessary. Her honesty and great recommendations are so appreciated and I offer my recommendation of her with my highest enthusiasm. Her last name is Justice and she clearly believes in it.

Called to seek an estate planning attorney for a large estate, as well as for potential litigation in another urgent matter. Was told a lawyer would call me back. Days later, no call was received. My husband called and no one returned his call either. It will be one week tomorrow that the courtesy of a return phone call was not received. I would never trust or recommend an attorney who doesn't treat you like someone worth their time. Even more is the fact we are all University of Dayton alumni.
