Joseph Weeks and his firm have shown a high level of professionalism in dealing with my case. When I call his firm I talk directly with a live person, and not an automated attendant asking me to press numbers to speak to someone. I have on several occasions stopped by his office just to drop off requested documents and he has taken time to talk to me and let me know what the latest is with my case. Everyone at his office that I have worked with or spoken to has always been friendly and willing to answer any questions I may have.
From the onset of my case, Joseph has been upfront about what to expect and what actions the other party can take. Myrlin was invaluable in helping me through a difficult time. After my cycling accident, caused by an uncovered man-made hole on a city road, I suffered a serious shoulder injury. Because of the accident, I needed shoulder surgery. To my amazement, the city did not take responsibility for the uncovered man-made hole in the road. In fact, they just ignored my situation and that’s when Mrylin helped in a big way. Mrylin walked me through the process and made it easy. On the rare occasion when I needed to speak with him after hours, he never made me feel that I was imposing on his personal time. I had a paid consultation which was very disappointing. I have no issue with the attorney saying I don't have a claim as that's his job. Where I take issue is being asked for supporting documentation and none of it being reviewed ahead of the call. I was then rushed through a complicated situation that displays long-term harassment and told there was nothing that could be done. I felt like I paid $415 and put together hours of documentation for nothing. It was disheartening to say the least.

“Justin Hayes became my divorce lawyer on short notice. I had been in a collaborative divorce process for some six months when the process collapsed. When this happened I was due to leave the country in less than one week to be gone for 6 months with my employment. I had to find a lawyer fast. Mr. Hayes was recommended by my collaborative lawyer. I was able to arrange a meeting with him on short notice, and at the end of the meeting, which was conducted in a very thorough and professional manner, Mr. Hayes took my case. What followed was a 3 and ½ year saga, most of it occurring while I was out of the country, some 10,000 miles away.
Much of the work in preparing for the case had to be conducted long distance (mostly by email) but Mr. Hayes guided me through the steps expertly. When I returned to the U.S. for brief periods, Mr. Hayes made time for me and helped me plan out the next steps. His advice and counsel were always on target. When the court date was set, it conflicted with my employment overseas. Mr. Hayes negotiated a new court date, allowing me to meet my commitment. Key to avoiding a trial was a mediation session encouraged by Mr. Hayes, and presided over by a person highly recommended by him. The session, during which I followed guidance provided by Mr. Hayes, led to an agreement that avoided having to go to trial and resolved my case in its entirety. The court session itself was uneventful and I walked out of Court with a feeling of great relief. Throughout the entire process Mr Hayes was very professional and effective. He clearly commanded the respect of his colleagues and the Court. Important to me, he never once suggested any legal activities that were unnecessary. He could have but did not. With my long-distance participation in the process, I was vulnerable. It is easy for me to unreservedly recommend Mr. Hayes as a divorce lawyer. His clients can be assured that they are receiving legal advice, guidance and support that is as good as any in the State of Georgia.”

She came highly recommended to me from another restaurant owner. She was hired for a simple labor matter. The case was so easy I could of done it myself. I instructed her to wrap up quickly. That did not happen. In the end she billed me $17K while the suing attorney charged $10K. The employee got $5K. I had to eat the whole thing. I asked for her billing records and it a week to get them. It was so obvious her records were filled in after the case. This lady is not only a terrible lawyer but also a total thief. STAY AWAY!!!

I did a bankruptcy under Herman Tunsil. I'm sorry, but he did a poor job on my case. He seemed to be a nice person, but the service is what I'm reviewing. I started my case with him in Jan 2014. We did not complete my bankruptcy until May 2016. Is that not 2 years! He kept putting off meetings which I can understand sometimes, but for a bankruptcy to not be completed for 2 years is ridiculous. Fast forward and I'm thinking that everything was finalized in August 2015. I did my part with all the paperwork and submitted everything. The debt management course was completed also. I thought nothing else had to be done, but come to find out, his office had never forwarded the course certificate to the court office. I found this out in March because something in the back of my mind told me to check to see why I never got a confirmation from the court office. He responds to my e-mail saying they dropped the ball. At this point, I'm really upset because now this has pushed the discharge back several months and the court tells me we have to pay a late fee. I'm not paying it. So they ended up paying it and it was finalized in May 2016. I told my friend about doing a bankruptcy and the lawyer she got did it in 3 months. Go figure.
