Laura Shaver is an excellent defense attorney. She defended our son on a DUI and a totally uncalled for DV charge. In both cases, Laura, worked out reasonable solutions and the charges were removed or downgraded. Laura was thorough and obviously has the respect of the prosecutors and judges in Snohomish County. Brilliant strategists!! I had a very serious issue. I was charged with 3 counts of a serious crime which led to almost a 2 week trial. The events leading up to this trial happened 3 years ago, but they stuck with me the whole time. I am not sure how they are able to do it, but with Mr. Lawrence's help we pulled a win. I plead not guilty to all 3 charges and if I was convicted of even 1 of them I would have lost my career and my life as I know it. So I really commend what these gentlemen do and being able to their job when they have so many other cases to work. Recently, I was in the process of negotiating a business deal for my company; which involved buying the rights to use a bands song for an upcoming promotional short film. Upon reviewing the original proposed contract, Ms. Micheli pointed out it's numerous shortcomings. She believed the terms of the contract were far too unilateral in the recording artists' favor, and that the asking price for use of their composition was far too high.

October 2024 - I was fortunate enough to be referred to Julie by another attorney a year ago. She was the 3rd attorney I had met with and she was able to see me on very short notice within 48 hours. Immediately, she put me at ease. After our initial visit, I already felt a huge weight had lifted. I was very glad that I had not already retained an attorney at that point. Right away, I felt Julie was "the right one". She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands - and rightly so. I’m a criminal defense lawyer with 45 years of experience, so when it came to my own difficult, complicated divorce, I knew I needed the best lawyer possible. My first lawyer was, at best, mediocre. I had the pleasure of working with Geoff through a DVPO case and parts of my divorce case. He was able to point out the fact that my ex had set me up and wasn't afraid to voice it in court. Geoff was also well prepared for a crucial custody hearing and it was a relief having him by my side. Being a judge, in addition to a lawyer, his schedule does get busy. He was hired by the state to respresent me and he did an awful job.
I lost permanent custody of my children because he performed no work on my case...
I still do not understand why the state of Washington paid him??

I will never forget the fears that I felt when I went through my dependency back in 09. I hated myself for my mistakes and I no longer believed in myself. Mr. Wogsland never was too busy to work for or with me. He walked me through my case and fought tooth and nail throughout the entire process. He wouldn't let me allow the state or the father's to abuse their power. He gave me an OPD social worker and helped me navigate the entire process. Later when the case was closed and I had to go to court to protect my son from his dad Mr. Wogsland was able to provide me with documentation I needed from the dependency which ended up protecting my son again from his dad. Mr. Wogsland refused to allow my daughters dad and CPS to try to agree to extremely strict visitation denying me visits that wouldn't let me have my daughters overnight for 2 yrs AFTER I had completed inpatient at a PPW program and all the other court ordered Services I had completed already. Now I am coming back to him again because I know in my heart he can help me again. My youngest daughter was sent to Florida with her father who has been beating her and denying me my rights as a parent. She is in foster care in Florida and I am needing help getting information from my previous case. I know that I can go to Mr. Wogsland and ask him for his help in getting the correct documents if he still has access to them because he has already shown me before that he cares about my family and wants our family to be complete and with his help my daughter will be safe for the first time in 7 yrs. I know from how he has helped me in the past that we aren't just another case to him we are a family and we are important. I will always be grateful for everything he has done for my family and if you are in my shoes I wore back in 09 and you find out that he is assigned to you then this is your lucky day. You will have an attorney that will fight with respect to the courts and demand your rights are being met. Thank you for everything. I like to file a complaint. While speaking with a receptionist. She claimed you'd only been Open for 15 mins at 8:55pm then told me I can't speak to people like that and she hung up the phone. I'm trying to convey my problems and concerns and only get brushed off and told I'll get a call back.
I got a call back and saying I'll like to file a complaint and was told I'm not going to get into this again and was hung up on once again.
I was not using foul language and I was trying to be respectful. my worries are being passed over and my request are not being respected prior to the first hearing with Brittany.
