Mark was extremely helpful when I was dealing with a charge. He walked me through the steps in a way that I, someone with no experience with the legal system, was able to understand. He stayed in contact with me about how my case was progressing and what my options were. I was dealing with possible ramifications of my case on professional licensing. I hired Mark Maciolek for a hearing and he defended me as expected. I had explained the circumstances and he sounded sure that it was a do-able case. From the initial first phone call to the very end I was treated professionally, honestly, compassionately, and felt like I really mattered. Attorney Parsons represented me in a case against a former employer who tried to get out of paying short-term disability benefits even though I met all of their policy's criteria. He has deep experience in representing employees in HR-related claims against employers, and is very, very good. He knows the law, he knows the system, and knows how the "game" is played. I hired Sam Wayne to litigate a case involving the FCRA, and federal student loan system. It was complicated, the trial Court was uninterested and unfair, often refusing to see how the dots connected, and without Sam's close attention to detail: would have been disposed of. At the end of the ordeal, after the Court dealt me one last bit of unfairness by abridging my constitutional right to a jury trial and verdict, Sam negotiated a settlement that maximized my return and didn't leave me with a huge tax burden. Sam is a rare attorney; one who looks beyond his overhead and works to obtain relief for his clients.

As a surgeon, I appreciate people who just get the job done. Ms. Packard certainly did that for me but in a very compassionate manner. I was terminated without cause after decades of working in the same practice. She fought for me and I thus received a severance package that makes me pleased that they terminated me. In November of 2008 I retained Tamara Packard to assist me in resolving a dispute with my former employer. From the initial meeting to the signing of the negotiated agreement two months later, Attorney Packard acted dilligently, professionally, and assertively on my behalf to bring about a settlement I was more than pleased with.
My former employer is a small (100 employees) privately-held company. It was reluctant to provide the information necessary to establish a fair settlement. Attorney Packard countered their attorney's every argument against releasing information with her superior knowledge of applicable labor laws.
I completely trusted her advice during the negotiation of a severance package, and I have no doubt that she got me thousands and thousands of dollars more than I could have, on my own.

Mr. Oconner helped me obtain a civil judgement against a store that fraudulently got me to purchase their product that I would not have purchased if I would have known all the ingredients of the product. During the whole time while he was doing all the legal work to obtain this judgment he was very helpful to me by always explaining everything that was happening. He would always answer any and all of my questions either by phone or email right away. Often times doing so after business hours as my job had me working until after 5:00 pm. Mike has done legal work for me both personally and for each of my past three businesses over the last 15 years. He has helped me with employment related issues, purchasing and selling my companies, disputes, as well as general corporate legal work. He has always been there for me through both good times and bad. He is extremely responsive and thorough. He knows not only Wisconsin employment law almost better than anyone, but is also a great litigator/negotiator. His firm has also attracted several like minded individuals with legal skills and experience that compliment Mike's own expertise. Since I have worked with almost every Tier-1 law firm in Wisconsin over the years (in addition to some big firms in Chicago, New York, and Boston), I would say Mike is just as good (if not better) than any of those firms (or the best attorneys at those firms), and obviously his bill rates are much more reasonable! In late 2014 I decided, along with two partners, to start a small business developing smartphone applications for Android and Apple devices. My partners and I decided to move from brainstorm to business after we realized we could be making money on our fun side coding projects. We quickly found out that having an idea for a business is much different than actually forming a business.
We approached Mike with questions on what it takes to form an LLC in Wisconsin. Mike was generous with his time, knowledge and advice. We found out we needed much more than the simple LLC documents. Over the course of a number of meetings, Mike and his knowledgeable and qualified attorneys walked us through all of the legal considerations involved in starting a business with partners.
Mike’s firm drafted our Operating Agreement, LLC paperwork and anything else that was involved with making our business official. Mike was available to answer any questions we had during the process and continues to be there for counsel during our opening months.
In our first year of business, we have found ourselves coming back to Mike again and again for advice on matters we would have never thought we would’ve needed an attorney for. Anything from contract drafting and negotiation to advice on how to handle our competition; Mike and the lawyers at his firm have been available and indispensable.

I had a legal sitution that festered for over five years. Complicating the matter was that I received a judgement in another state and my opponent sought to evade payment in Wisconsin. This mattered little to Mr. Thill. He quickly registered our judgement in Wisconsin and began proceedings. What impressed me the most was that Mr. Thill kept at it no matter what my opponent attempted, tried, or said. When I received a speeding citation last summer, i was in danger of losing my drivers license which would have really made life very difficult. I was charged with disorderly conduct on a government installation ,I was not charged at first ,I hired a lawyer to get the charges dropped ,this case went uncharged for a year and when I received notice that I was being charged the lawyer I hired wanted more money to show up in court ...to make a long story short I had already paid this lawyer too much for doing nothing so I fired her and hired William Richard Jones. he was on the spot he came in and argued my case got the charges dropped and was done in less than an hour although we had agreed to a much higher price he only charged me for the time he spent on the case which was about 10% of my previous lawyer . He was professional and courteous at all times and showed a great concern for my case and the outcome that I wanted one of the best lawyers I have dealt with in a long time

Joshua represented me for a small claims case involving an individual who claimed to be a professional auto body repair, but in actuality, literally destroyed my BMW due to his negligence/inexperience. The 3 auto body repair shops I took it to for estimates totalled the car (it would cost more to repair his mistakes then the car was worth ~ upwards of $10K).
When other lawyers did not seem interested in taking the case, Joshua took it to heart and made sure I would get some sort of justice. In fact, he did, and I was granted the judgement we had asked for. I would hire Joshua again in a heartbeat.

Joe Bugni and Peter Moyers did an excellent job for me. They really poured their heart into all of the motions and showed immense attention to the case. They were also available to talk to regularly. I will admit there is a stigma around the term "Public Defenders" but, at least for Joe and Peter (I can't speak for the other attorneys as I didn't work with them) this stigma was strongly defied. Looking back I feel representation was comparable and maybe even exceeded that which could have been acquired with a private attorney. It is evident that this is a passion not just a career. All other staff (office, interns, social workers) had the same quality of service and care as well. If you're in a position where you cannot afford a private attorney you've lucked out here.
