I had tenants who stopped paying rent and refused to honor their lease that decided to live rent free and not abide by their signed lease terms. I had never been in a situation like this. My brother-in-law was facing egregious criminal charges, and Kristen Curry was recommended by my sister’s trusted family court attorney for representation. Kristen’s extensive knowledge of the criminal justice system, specific judges, evidence rules, litigation, and precedent was immediately evident, but as she began working on the case, she demonstrated equally impressive “soft skills”. Her strong intuition and understanding of the personality types of the involved parties cannot be overstated. She navigated the legal system’s many obstacles with agility, expertise, and class.
The absolute best thing about Kristen was her deep knowledge of the case. She was as familiar with the facts, events, timelines, witness interviews, testimonies, and motives as my sister and brother-in-law were. When the prosecutor attempted to paint an event inaccurately, mislead jurors to draw a false conclusion, or report dates incorrectly, Kristen was prepared. For starters, while Kristen was questioning witnesses, she would handwrite a timeline in front of jurors so they could visualize the order of events. She would ask thoughtful, well-constructed questions to demonstrate the holes and inconsistencies in witness testimony and uncover outright dishonesty. In addition, she was able to expose the motive for the charges, despite the underhanded concealment motions the prosecutor filed the day before trial began. Kristen was also able to prove how poor the detective’s investigation was.
While the prosecutor had to rely on dirty tactics, hiding facts, and a perky personality to appeal to the judge and jury, Kristen relied on professionalism, experience, and her ability to find creative solutions, present the truth, and shine light on important background/history that seemed unrelated to the case, but was in fact tightly connected to it. At no point did Kristen get riled up by the prosecution's strategies; she remained calm and confidently overcame them.
Let’s talk about litigation costs. I’d go as far as to say Kristen’s rates are extremely low considering her excellence. She’s proactive and responsive, and has a wildly capable paralegal (Isabel). She gives honest advice even when it’s not what her client wants to hear, and will represent her client based on their wishes. She has a passion for her job that isn’t found in most lawyers, and there isn’t an egotistical bone in her body. It is obvious that Kristen does not do this for the pay; she does it because she loves it.
I cannot speak to Kristen’s performance if her client is guilty, but I can say with 100% confidence that she was exceptional at revealing the truth and my brother-in-law’s innocence. She is an excellent litigator, and the trial ended in the rightful, yet remarkably rare acquittal (seriously, look into how rare that is) on all six charges. If you need an accomplished, competent, ethical defense attorney, Kristen is your girl.

Best attorney ever! I had a horrible experience with my hoa not releasing old liens and double billing during litigation. We went back and forth for 13 years until I hired Jonathan Dessaules as my hoa attorney within 2 months my liens were released and my ledger was zero. I highly recommend any issues you may have with your hoa hire him do not try to fight on your own the laws are easily mis leading hard to understand he knew every law Jonathan was able explain why it was not right to me and he was able to have it cleared up fast. I had an almost 6000 ledger go to zero for my family to truly start fresh! I wish I found him in 2010 would have saved me so much more.

Our HOA sued us over our addition due to a setback violation. We had never had to retain a lawyer before in our lives and suddenly we were in a panic.
We contacted Jon Dessaules from Dessaules Law Group and from the first conversation we knew we had come to the right place. Jon knew from experience the possible outcomes and walked us through what would most likely happen. Before our initial conversation, Jon took the time to review the facts about the case and various documents we had provided.
We had interviewed 3 other law firms and even started down the road with one of them. The experience with Dessaules Law was night and day. Only leaving one star because I have to. Sue sold me the dream during our consultation over the phone. Told me everything I wanted to hear but actions did not measure up in the court room. It’s been since 2020 that I’ve lost my daughter to her father who is an absolute POS. Despite having provided mountains of proof and organizing all my exhibits. (All Sue had to do was file them, in the exact order they were in!!!!) And still NONE of them were used during my trial. It was he said vs she said and honestly the responding lawyer (Jason Pistiner) did what he was paid to do, took my daughter away and in return put me on child support. I had invested over 5 grand (putting myself in a financial bind) for Sue to be present at ONE trial and she failed me completely in many ways. Including the fact that our trial was virtual due to Covid and because her assistant Kim Yazzie failed to notify me that the trial was not going to be in person. I showed up to the court house the day of my trial where I learned it was virtual and had to sit in outside of the courthouse, literally outside. The traffic was noisy and I couldn’t concentrate on what was being said, nor did I have a way of effectively communicating with Sue to ask questions before or during my trial. To this day I am STILL fighting for justice for my daughter as she was placed in the hands of a convicted drug user/dealer who has failed my daughter completely since 2020. Please do your research before choosing Sue and make sure if you decide to proceed with her, you ask for itemized receipts of what she’s charging you for because I was never provided that information and don’t understand where 5 grand went when I did all the work and all she did was drop the ball the day of my trial. Not to mention how she claimed to have been “under the weather” the day of my trial which she seemed to be discombobulated and unfocused and even after the judge asked her if she was ok to proceed or needed to reschedule she refused to reschedule and chose to proceed as “sick” as she claimed to be. I think she intentionally failed to fight for me because she knew I would have to keep fighting (using her services) if I lost and in return it would cost another 5-10 grand if not more. That’s not how business is done. Had you won my case or even attempted to try and win my case, I wouldn’t be writing this negative review and you would have more business by word of mouth and recommendations but I would never in my lifetime refer anybody to Sue as she has proven to be untrustworthy and incompetent. The few minutes I talked to her on the phone when she needed additional information, she seemed very scatterbrained and all over the place. Which explains why her assistant isn’t good at follow ups. Blind leading the blind. By the way I noticed her 5 star reviews are from employees or friends which says a lot about her reputation! All I can say is if you’ve read through my review please consider investing elsewhere and don’t go based off the dream she sells during the phone consult. And if you’re reading this Sue, a refund would be nice.

I went to Mr. Hudspeth hoping that he would represent me on a business contract. But after reviewing my entire contract and having two of his staff attorneys research my case, he came to the conclusion that I would be better served by an attorney with expertise in securities law. Mr. Hudspeth did not charge me for any of his or the other attorneys’ time. I was disillusioned that he was not going to be able to represent me because I wanted the most competent attorney I knew, and that was Mr. Hudspeth.
The reason I know this is because I also worked for Mr. Hudspeth for five years. I learned to have tremendous respect for him as a lawyer and as a person. I have been around lawyers most of my life, but working for Mr. Hudspeth I saw a side I had not been exposed to very much. His compassion for others and understanding comes through in his communications, and that is something I have taken away with me and try to emulate. In his practice too, he expected that everyone adhere to ethical standards as the right and natural thing to do.
Therefore, I highly recommend Mr. Hudspeth to anyone looking for competence, dedication, and years of experience.

Went on vacation and things seemed to have turned for the worst. Contacted Lerner and Rowe and Sean was assigned to my case. Felt like I had ruined my life but Sean was with me every step of the way.
