It is with great pleasure to write the following on behalf of the law firm of Felix and Killen. Upon meeting Daniella Felix, it was quite evident that I was meeting an attorney who was willing to hear my story of the auto accident in which I was injured. Though I had never experienced such a moment, Daniella listened with great concern as to what had occurred. In explaining to Daniella what had happened, I noticed that she was very compassionate and wanted to be sure that I was receiving care for my injury.
Once it was decided that Daniella and her partner, Bryce Kellen would take my case, my wife and I felt assured that we would be in good hands with their firm. Daniella took the lead of our case and proceeded to ask of details and proceed with her investigation. She once again wanted to be sure that I was receiving proper care above all. She contacted the other party’s Insurance Company and took care of all the necessary details so that I may focus on my medical care. She also contacted my Medical Provider so they would know who should be billed for the expenses incurred.
All in all, I could not have found a better Law Firm than Felix and Kellen. Daniella worked tirelessly to handle all our legal issues, during this traumatic time for my wife and I. My ex-spouse and I pretty much agreed on almost everything, but there were few minor details that we needed to iron out. Matthew was referred to us by a mutual friend and we were happy with the outcome. There was never any arguing and Matthew was a great resource for us. He patiently walked us through the divorce proceedings and answered every question we had. Having one mediator attorney as opposed to two attorneys made it much more affordable. I would recommend Matthew to anyone who wants a fair process.

Hard working, cunning, detail-oriented and authoritative attorney whose demand letters are the stuff of local legend. Guaranteed to become one of Santa Barbara's SuperAttorneys.
Mike defended me against an unscrupulous landlord whose rent I paid on time... but for whom that was not enough. The landlord decided he was entitled to intimacy from me, and the usual dark events occurred. Few Santa Barbara attorneys (most of whom are landlords themselves) respond to this type of situation. I'm glad I retained Mr. Brelje. He stood for me unusually strongly and effectively against this cunning, unscrupulous straw-hatted elderly lecherous landlord and his lawyer, and protected me, and on top of that got me an unexpected and sizable settlement.
Mike Brelje is confident, knowledgeable about the law and other subjects, and thorough; he's a smart, bright young advocate and JD star who knows T/LL law in and out, sides with his client, and upholds the law exceptionally fearlessly.

Joe helped us with a complicated storm water runoff case. A condition that was created by a development over 10 years ago has caused floods and landslides across many properties in our neighborhood.
Several neighbors including ourselves have tried to approach the developer and the City for ten years to find a solution to the problem.

Michelle (who used to be with a firm in New Jersey appears to have started her own practice called the The Roberson Firm in California) helped me out with a contract dispute I was having. I work in the media design and development industry and my client's website was hacked. The client went after me because my firm developed their website for them. While we developed the website, we were not responsible for the maintenance and care of the site after development. It is due to the poor maintenance that the website was hacked. This is where the the contract dispute arose.
Many allegations were thrown my way by my former customer's council and none of them were true. They were looking for loss of sales as well as punitive damages. I decided I needed someone with a solid understanding of the law and a lawyer capable of truly fighting for me.
I met with a couple different lawyers and they all had a decent knowledge of contract disputes. Where Michelle stood out was the fight in her eyes, her professionalism, and her instinct to the case. I had thought I was looking for a male lawyer originally (as this is what you usually see on TV being the most aggressive), but I decided Michelle was my ace in the hole. I figured she would be underestimated by opposing council due to her relatively green appearance (she's young, and if you didn't know any better, you'd assume she was inexperienced). However, this is a fatal mistake for opposing council to make.
Michelle fired off a couple of strongly worded letters right out of the gate attacking the "facts" as well as the method that my ex-customer's council was utilizing. Within a couple weeks we received a notice from opposing council that their client was no longer interested in pursuing this matter. I couldn't believe how fast that was resolved! While I had hoped this could be resolved in this matter, I had no question of having her take it to trial if necessary.
The only reason she didn't get a 5 star on "Kept me informed" is, perhaps, I am a bit of a micro-manager and need constant updates. Other than that, Michelle was wonderful and she is now on our speed dial as our official company council.

Bob was handled our case for my daughter who was injured in a car accident. We were basically satisfied with the work, however based on how Bob explained his fee structure to us, we felt that we were lied to and cheated. We tried to have an honest discussion with Bob-it didn't go very well. It is our opinion that we caught Bob in a lie when he told us his assistant Wendy was in the conference room when he explained the fee structure percentage.
