I would recommend this law firm to anyone needing a great lawyer for Workmen Comp cases!!! Bob and his team worked long hours and months for me and my husband!! My husband worked at a company for 36 years!! And made him resign after 2 injuries! This was very heartbreaking and wrong in all kinds of ways! Alan is a sophisticated professional. Wow, did I say wow?!!!! He will tell you up front EXACTLY what will happen with your case. Also known as the truth, which (by the way you probably already know.) My advise is to just let him do his job -that he is more than capable of doing. Don't ask too many questions or get yourself worked up. Alan will tell you in advance almost the exact outcome of your case to a t. In the end you can feel good about him as a human being because he won't resort to less than favorable behaviour. And by that I mean other attorneys who have to use immature tactics to make up for what they lack as men. Although it is quite entertaining to watch some of them!!! Especially JIM WARREN!!! Got over $$3,500 stolen from my attorney. He promise to take our case to sue a company and every time we asked for updates he will have an excuse. It’s been a year (12 months) and no work was done, we have ask for our money back and he was failed to provide an explanation on where the money is. He said he has to deduct his hours which no work was ever presented to us. In the whole year NOTHING was ever done. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
Update:
Ms Andrew provided me with an invoice where he charged us $250 for just REVIEWING emails, this means he DID NOT REPLY, he did not do anything but received it.
Emails that he decided to ignored, he wants us to sign an invoice for a check when he is not even acknowledging the $200 that Mr River promise to add to our fund. He is also charging us more than what we had agreed on.
The agreement was that he was going to charged $250 for every HOUR Working on our case. He is charging us $250 for emails WE send asking about our case! EMAILS he decided to ignored. And unless he has a disability I can’t understand how long it took him to read my email.
We got over $3,250 for him LOOKING at our emails.
Please be careful because if that’s not stealing money idk what is.
In the refund the wants to give us is only for $375 back and asking us to sign a disclosure saying “we are happy with his service and all charges are accurate” IF THATS NOT STEALING PEOPLES MONEY, I DONT KNOW WHAT IS!
Funny you claimed we didn’t dispute the charges when we are asking you to send us the drafting work you claim you did. And NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVIDED. WE ARE DISPUTING ALL THOSE $3,250 that you did not work, you ignore emails.

Andrew was 45 minutes late to our first court appearance. I was sent multiple reminders from his firm to appear at the correct time, and I was getting more and more stressed when he did not show up. I called his office and they had no idea where he was and assured me that they would contact him and find out. Finally he showed up 45 minutes late. I did not get an apology or explanation for why he was late.
Andrew was representing me in a tenant eviction where the tenant was living in my property without leaving for 6 months. This is the first time that I have ever gone through an eviction so I hired him. He was supposed to check the rent bonds each month so that we could remove the tenant any time they did not pay their bonds to the court. He failed to check the October rent bond because we were attempting to negotiate with the tenant. Instead he waited until November and then realized the tenant hadn't paid in October and we could have filed to remove her weeks earlier. This inaction lost me 1 month of income. He will probably reply here that he didn't check the bond because he was negotiating - but I fail to see why both tasks are mutually exclusive. I am literally paying for his time (retainer paid for his hourly rate so it's not like I asked him to do this for free), so why were the tasks I asked him to do not done?
When I asked Andrew to acknowledge this mistake or provide me with a discount on his rate for the income that he lost me, he sent me the following reply, direct quote: "I have 100 other cases going on besides yours. The rent bond information is publicly available. So, it is also something that you could have checked just as easily." If he has 100 other cases and can't give my case the attention it needs, maybe he should take on less cases. And obviously if I was a legal expert and could have gone through this process on my own, I wouldn't have needed a lawyer in the first place.
EDIT - He was absolutely 45 minutes late. To deny that would be an absolute lie. I sat in the court room by myself while the judge skipped over me and went to other cases, and she directly said that we can come back to mine when my council shows up. And I did bring this up to Andrew by asking him to state clearly (by email) exactly what time he would be at court for the next court appearance.
As for why I said "Thank you" in emails??? and didn't call out the issues immediately it's because I was afraid that if I call out ineffective work during my case, that I would be retaliated against and the work wouldn't be performed at all. There's a reason I had to follow up over 100 times.
You are also misrepresenting me here. I NEVER once asked why you didn't file the writ of possession while we were negotiating. I understand ethics very well. I only asked why you didn't VERIFY that the tenant paid her bond. Isn't the saying "knowledge is power"? When the tenant flaked from turning up to sign the negotiated paperwork, we should have been able to file the Writ of Possession Immediately. Or even immediately after our court date. Instead because you never checked this fact, we had to wait weeks!!

It seems all your time trying to prove to my cc company that you did the work I paid for was most of the work you did, because that's more work than I ever saw for myself.... Which is what I told them, and the reason it was in your favor was because one of the deadlines of my cc company to reply to your response expired and I was not aware. As I explained to them, all the paperwork you showed them were never provided to me, and the reason I asked for a refund in the first place was due to your lack of communication, professionalism, and any type of quality of work (or lack thereof). It's the only logical explanation in the first place, since I have paid money for services which I have never received, and I have no resolution of the case you were hired to perform. Presumably, if it took you “several hours” to refute my claim, you didn’t start out with enough evidence to disprove it in the first place. And my “audacity” comes from being the fact that I am the one that ended up wasting every penny I gave you, with nothing to show for it. I think that you are the audacious one, to think that I am not deserving of any refund, because you had to spend time to manufacture evidence of your work you did for me.

I'm responding so that we stick to the facts as opposed to manufacturing hyperbole and you misrepresenting what happened, and taking no responsibility for your actions as a professional.
To reiterate, I lost the chargeback because, as the bank told me multiple times, we went past the deadline required by the bank to respond. In addition you showed the bank "evidence" of work you had done for the case, which I had never seen before, and could have easily been manufactured after the fact.
And to keep facts straight again, I never disputed the fee charged for the consultation, only the fees for the case, which was never performed. Way back I asked for a refund from you when there wasn't even any work performed yet, and you offered me a very small fraction of my fee. It was then that I realized you were not going to be reasonable and I initiated the chargeback. Throughout the time of the case I had to continuously do my own legwork for the case and emails to you went unanswered for days at a time. I was also extremely dissatisfied with your attention to my case, and knowledge of procedure, which is another reason I asked for a refund. I had to hire different representation for my case due to your lack of attention and resolution. I find it interesting in all of your responses you never claim to have represented me or found any resolution in my case. I think if you had finished the case, and then I initiated a chargeback, that would be a scam, not me trying to get some money back before the case was started because I was dissatisfied with your service. You offered me approximately a 25% refund of my original fees, which was before anything was even started for the case. If I had been represented to my satisfaction, or you recovered any damages in my case, I would have not asked for anything back, obviously. In this case the scam seems to be accepting my total fee with no resolution or progress to my case, and I find it preposterous that you expect you should be compensated for time responding to my dispute, when I was dissatisfied with my service in the first place.
Also I think we should leave anyone accepting credit card payments from me out of the equation, since you have zero knowledge of the subject. I hope my fee is worth it to you, since you seem to have a business practice of accepting funds for work not done, which seems like more of a scam to me.

Almost 2 years ago today I made the very difficult decision to end my 2 decades of marriage after my "I do" became an "I don't". I am a resident of another state and Theresa Viera represented me in a case in North Carolina. I was unfamiliar with various antiquated laws in N.C. I approached the Law Office of Kelli Allen in about February of this year ( 2023) to help me submit my Green Card Application. I was assigned to Berna Chacon- a bilingual specialist in data accumulation for Green Card submissions. Thank G-d I was. She was absolutely outstanding. I mean truly- it took me a while to accumulate the necessary data ( necessary being whatever Berna told me to put together) and we submitted my application in June of this year. Today is November 24, 2023, and guess what- I have my Green Card Truly great work by Berna -what a help she was! I couldnt have done it so seamlessly without her!. Prices at this office are reasonable to. And nice, and accomodating people! I would go out of my way to recommend this law office and Berna to handle anybody's immigration matters. As with any legal matter, it is likely an emotional matter for those going through it. You don't usually PLAN to hire an attorney but when you do, Lori Keeton is who you need. Donald Vicini is an extremely knowledgeable attorney. I hired him to represent me and defend me in a custody motion initiated by my ex-husband. My case was unique in that it brought in many different elements into my case/argument. Donald is by the book, knows the law, is confident in the courtroom and made me feel at ease, as much as he could, through my day long trial. Along with NC statutes and precedent knowledge, Donald also has the rare gift of "going with the gut" or instinct when knowing what exhibits to show or questions to counter with. He doesn't waste time or badger witnesses. He cuts to the chase and I believe the judge appreciates the respect he shows to even the opposing party in the courtroom. Mr. Vicini tried my case in a county that he is normally not used to and I thought, initially, that his lack of having a reputation in my small town would be a negative, but it certainly wasn't. In fact, the judge congratulated him, complimented him and shook his hand at the conclusion of my hearing. I would definitely use Mr. Vicini again and highly recommend him to others.

I highly recommend staying away from this firm and Trent Grissom. He was told to file a simple insurance claim 4 times. None of which did. He was fired. I posted a negative review on Google and he threatened to *sue me for defamation* really Trent?? Is this the type of attorney you would use??? I would recommend reading other website reviews which are poor. They will charge you for every small email even when it is unsolicited.

**Don't even bother wasting you're time with this 3rd string pack of attorney rejects. Trent Grissom will tell you 'oh it's my specialty...no problem'. You will then be forced to explain your case several times to him and then put it in writing, all after paying for your official consultion. He is unable to find any solution. They merely just want to run up your bill with redundent question and tactics. There is always exuses for not receiving updates (moving offices, sick, vacation and court - really??). I spent one year with this 'unimaginative clown' and accomplished zero. **Read the real reviews, NOT Google reviews. Poor office support as well. **Avoid at all costs** How anyone who could rate this firm a 4 or 5 must have been paid to do so.👎

I was assigned Lisa Johnson without having the opportunity to meet her and assess her competency. While my husband was causing the separation process to go longer than expected, it was Ms. Johnson's unprofessional delays and failure to communicate that caused me to sever my relationship with her and the firm. While I tried to reach her by email many times when my husband was shutting off all my utilities, there was only silence. It took two weeks with me finally calling the firm's head attorney before she was instructed to call me. A paralegal never even touched base and the head attorney had no access to my case to offer help. When finally she called, she said she was too busy in court to answer my emails or reach out to me. I continued to work with her and my last communication with her was to ask if we were ready to sign papers. Twenty-four days went by without a single word from Ms. Johnson. I was served with a lawsuit by my husband's attorney at the end of this time and after learning that the lead attorney couldn't access my details when Ms. Johnson was unavailable, I decided it was time to find an attorney who would do their job in a timely manner with a firm that shared access to cases in case my attorney was unavailable. I found out that the only reason the lawsuit was brought against me was because of the delay in hearing from my attorney, which opposing counsel and in particular my husband assumed was caused by me stalling and dragging my feet. I have to incur much greater fees to go to court because of her lack of professionalism and perhaps her inability to handle her case load, and that is after 4 1/2 months and $4700 of accomplishing nothing. I am starting virtually from square one with a new attorney who in one week has accomplished more. I cannot in any way recommend her for help with legal matters due to her lack of performance. I gave her a two star rating because I couldn't bring myself to give only one star, even though she wasn't proactive -which meant reacting to the other attorney at every turn- and my case never moved forward in any perceptable or meaningful direction.

Our firm consulted providence Law and had a very bad experience. Lets start with basics. The law firm required basic information, what is your firms name, what is the owners name, what is the address etc. and why are you requiring our services. We provided. 2nd step, make payment. Done. 3rd step is for Providence Law to execute. Well guess what, nope. Providence Law repeats step 1. and sends you an invoice for step 2. Well, here comes time for step 3... Nope not again, another one of their representative will call you and repeat step 1 and step 2 and send you an invoice for it. In step 1 and 2 you end up paying $6k in fees. Yes, they did file something, finally they did something, a filing of about 2k’s worth. And then they send you a termination letter when you don’t want to repeat step 1 and 2 any longer. When you try to call and call for an explanation they DON’T ANSWER but send you a legal letter stating representation is terminated. LOL, WOW... I am trying to warn anyone out there..
Well Guess what providence Law. I am not asking for any additional legal services, I’ve been calling you NOT for additional services, NO sir, all I’ve been calling, calling for our original documentation but you guys don’t respond. I will now publicly ask for our original documents filed. Which NEVER previously provided, NO, NO, NO.. Do not say you have originally provided the document. That will be a lie.. after many calls you finally after me proving you never originally gave us documentation, you sent original filings. But there has been lot more documents missing. If you called me Mr. Craig Morgan I could have explained, but you never returned our calls, not even to explain why termination. And I’ve been calling and calling to ask for original documentation but no response. Legal letter you sent saying copies of our documentation will be sent for additional cost. $8k later... WOW...people this is called a legal robbery. Be careful everyone. Don’t Call Providence Law. Do Not seek their consultation. You won’t get anything but a bill for What is You Name.
