Laura and Jenny have made going through the divorce process and the issues that come up after not as stressful as it could be. Over the years, they have always been there to answer all of my questions and help me make the best decisions for myself and my children.

Working with Dan and his law firm was amazing. Dan always gave me the best advice throughout the case and was always very responsive. I don’t know too many attorneys that respond to emails and texts the way Dan does. He was very patient with me and got me the best possible outcome. Thank you!! Highly highly recommend!!

I used Ammarell Deasy and specifically Shawn Moussou to represent me and guide me through a divorce case. He was very thorough, took time to understand my position, explained the process, and helped guide me through things from start to finish. The divorce process is hard and miserable, but I'm thankful I had professional support from Shawn to advocate for my rights and for my children's rights. Shawn made a difficult situation easier to navigate with his expertise. The whole office and all the staff at Ammarell Deasy was quick to respond and provided great communication during my case. Shawn, Stacy, George, Alex, and Dan were incredibly helpful.

Rose-Anne was the arbitrator for a very, very bitter divorce with other issues to be dealt with on the side to further complicate the problems. As the Realtor trying to get the home sold, Rose-Anne navigated the numerous hurdles necessary to accomplish that goal. I could not have ever been able to reach a closing without her. She was fair to both parties but able to make the necessary digficult decisions when needed. I cannot recommend Rose-Anne and is the best I have ever worked with in 35 years of selling 2000+ homes in Denver.

I met Rose-anne several years ago. After tremendous equivocation about what direction to take regarding the dissolution of my marriage, Rose-anne brilliantly advised and guided me seamlessly through what could have been a treacherous process. Her depth and breadth of legal knowledge in this area of law is unsurpassed. Her abiding compassion and understanding was above and beyond any legal council I've ever encountered. I highly recommend her for any situation..

Rose-anne helped me 10 years ago with creating an initial parenting plan for my daughter, then again a couple weeks ago to re-negotiate through her turning 19. She is incredibly talented at helping negotiate and is very straight forward and direct. I find it amazing how she can remain totally neutral through all the negativity. She cuts straight to what you want to accomplish with your time and helps you both get there. Though my ex and I don't see eye to eye at ALL, she helped us complete a second parenting plan and we should be set for the remainder of her upbringing. Truly grateful for her gift and ability to endure those sessions! Rose-anne is outstanding and I would highly recommend her services, worth every penny! :-)

When I met Nathan Dowell, I knew immediately I would hire him to represent me. He has great communication skills and goes after what needs to be done. He and his paralegal, Karen Yurack, are quite the power team. Karen is very supportive, and they work in sync. You definitely want them on your side, as they went above and beyond to help.

She was sympathetic to my problem, but had no suggestions at this time. She did have some concern over an FMLA issue but didn't expand as my problem is complicated and ongoing. So time ran short. I wish I could just sit down for an hour and discuss where I'm at in a LTD/EEOC situation.

I felt Jennifer made her mind up about me within seconds of our initial consultation. This was my first divorce, & I was unfamiliar with the process & scared, so I stuck it out thinking it was me who was wrong, not her. Jennifer had little regard for my concerns & insisted she knew what was best. She rushed my case & pushed me to take offers from my ex’s counsel even though they only benefited him. My ex is abusive & my child is terrified of him. Instead of hearing me out that maybe my ex should have limited custody, she told me it was my responsibility to encourage my son to have a good relationship with his dad. I was told I needed to force my son to go to his dad’s whether he wanted to or not. She told me if my son resisted, I needed to implement strict punishments. Apparently our children’s wishes & fears don’t matter in family law. Don’t be like me & assume the attorney knows best. Jennifer did not advocate for me. She made me feel powerless & I wish I had trusted my instincts & hired a different attorney. My son is suffering because I didn’t listen to my gut. Don’t be like me. Stay away from this firm - they don’t care about their clients or children.

Jen and Sarah were amazing throughout every step of the process of my most recent divorce case. Every step of the way they looked for ways to reduce costs and find the quickest way to resolution.  Jen was diligent, responsive and well prepared. She understood my case, I felt heard and she got the outcome I wanted in the quickest way possible. I highly recommend Jen Feingold and her team to  anyone looking for a true partner in their representation.

I hired Attorney Jennifer Feingold to clear up an issue I had in my separation agreement from my divorce. My original attorney left a rather important piece out the agreement. Jennifer was very helpful in explaining the procedure and what needed to be done. She was very competent, communicative and conscious of my feelings. She was able to fix my issue in a very timely matter. In hindsight, I wish I would have found Attorney Feingold to represent me for my divorce from the start.

At the beginning of the divorce case there was minimum contact. When a deadline near there was more communication but was last minute. Once it came time for mediation the charges really increased and it felt as the information gathered in the 9 months prior was not retained. In the end I would have probably saved money by representing my self because the permanent orders we 99% my exes request.

There is no better firm, skilled attorneys, or group of professionals to trust when you find yourself in crises. We are specifically talking about Nathan Osborn (Attorney), Alyson Evett (Attorney), and their team (Bonnie Hakes Finance Coordinator), Connie Streich (Paralegal), Amanda Bielak (Assistant) at Montgomery Little & Soran, PC. From day one we felt protected, on the absolute worst days we felt unconditionally supported, and until the very successful end we were completely satisfied. When you find yourself in need, and you need someone to help you, call Nathan and his firm, it will change everything. It did for us!

Julia refused to read the “narrative” statement she asked both parties to complete - which provides the case history and impact on the child. Her report to the mediator/arbitrator misquoted court documents that were provided, had dates that were wrong, and omitted key facts supporting her “reasoning.” The CFI did nothing to resolve court involvement, or improve outcomes for the child involved. I have written evidence supporting all claims made in this review.

Very biased! I wish I would’ve read other reviews before I hired Julia. I was told by my lawyer Julia favors a 50/50 schedule. She was also the more expensive option, over $3000. She only added one day to my every other weekend schedule. And all the lies my ex wife said to her, she took for truth, regardless of the police reports and text messages I provided. They weren’t even included in her final report. Very biased and very unprofessional, she hadn’t even opened the emails I sent to her til the follow up call just before the final report was due! Saddest part is my kids are the ones who suffer from her unprofessional behavior. Good luck to all you men out there fighting the good fight! Don’t give up!! And don’t go with Julia if you get the chance to pick your CFI like I did. $1675 in her pocket, while my kids go without their father.

Like other reviewers I wish I would have read her reviews before allowing her to be added to the list of CFI's that my lawyer's office suggested. Julia is a robot with no expression or thought given to the true well being of the child involved. I was told in court that she questioned my credibility as I had "too many" allegations against my son's father because I told the truth of a history of abuse, drug use and selling. It does not benefit to tell the truth about the other parent. I would have been much better off if I lied to her about what I was dealing with. She even asked him to pull his own police report about a domestic violence charge on his record rather than doing the research herself. When he claimed he couldn't get it she let him explain it away. We were able to obtain the report which spoke of him choking a woman unconscious. She also failed to speak to the girlfriend after me who also experienced domestic violence to the point that she was too afraid to speak in court. If you are a victim of domestic violence DO NOT USE this woman. You will be re-traumatized and be accused of making up allegations. Despite the fact that his father averaged giving away 1 day month out of his 8 she noted that he did not give away a significant amount of time and failed to mention that he has never scheduled/taken my son to one doctor, eye, or dental appointment. My child's father also had a babysitter we knew nothing about and that she never mentioned to me in her "investigation', despite the fact that child care was to be mutually agreed upon. Julia conducted two phone interviews for her "investigation" and took the word of my son's father's witnesses and left out information from my witnesses entirely in her report. My three year old will now be split between households 50/50 even though he has never been with his father that much in his life. She is a disgrace to her profession. DO NOT USE!

What a Mediation Lawyer Can Do for You

A mediation lawyer specializes in resolving disputes outside of the courtroom through a process called mediation. Mediation involves a neutral third-party mediator who helps the disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Mediation lawyers can represent clients in various matters, including divorce, business disputes, employment conflicts, contract issues, personal injury claims, and more.

Unlike litigation, mediation is a less adversarial and more cost-effective way to settle disputes, often leading to faster resolutions and preserving relationships between the parties involved.

When Should I Hire a Mediation Lawyer?

Consider hiring a mediation lawyer when you’re involved in a dispute and want to avoid the time, expense, and stress of going to court. Common reasons to hire a mediation lawyer include:

  • Divorce or child custody disputes: A mediation lawyer can help you reach a fair settlement on issues like property division, alimony, and parenting arrangements without going to court.
  • Business or contract disputes: For disagreements such as contract disputes, partnership conflicts, or intellectual property issues, a mediation lawyer can assist in resolving the matter through negotiation.
  • Employment disputes: Issues like wrongful termination, discrimination, or wage disputes can be addressed through mediation to find common ground and avoid lawsuits.
  • Personal injury cases: Mediation can help both parties agree on compensation in cases like car accidents or slip-and-fall claims without a prolonged court battle.
  • Property disputes: Disputes over property ownership, landlord-tenant issues, or boundary disagreements can be settled more amicably through mediation.
  • Family or inheritance disputes: Mediation can help resolve conflicts over wills or trusts without further dividing the family.

What Does a Mediation Lawyer Do?

A mediation lawyer provides a range of services to help clients resolve disputes through negotiation and mutual agreement. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Representing your interests: Acting as your advocate during mediation to ensure your rights are protected and you understand your legal options.
  • Preparing for mediation: Reviewing the facts of the case, gathering necessary documents, and advising you on potential resolutions.
  • Facilitating communication: Helping to facilitate open and constructive dialogue between parties to clarify points of contention.
  • Negotiating settlements: Assisting in negotiating fair and balanced settlement terms that are in your best interest.
  • Drafting mediation agreements: Preparing the official mediation agreement that outlines the terms of the settlement, which is often legally binding.
  • Avoiding litigation: Aiming to reach a settlement that eliminates the need for a court trial, saving time and resources for both parties.
  • Handling complex legal issues: Explaining the legal implications of various settlement terms in cases with complicated legal matters.

How Are Mediation Lawyers Paid?

Mediation lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the case and the time involved. Common payment methods include:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee ranging from $150 to $500 or more, depending on experience and case complexity.
  • Flat fee: For simpler mediations, some lawyers may offer a flat fee covering all legal work involved in the process.
  • Retainer: In ongoing or complex cases, a retainer may be required as an upfront payment billed against as work progresses.

Discuss fees and payment structures with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand the cost of mediation services.

How Much Does a Mediation Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a mediation lawyer depends on several factors, including the case's complexity, the lawyer’s experience, and the time required to resolve the dispute. General cost estimates include:

  • Hourly rates: Typically between $150 and $500 per hour.
  • Flat fees: For simple mediations, fees may range from $1,000 to $5,000.
  • Total mediation costs: Can vary widely, from $2,000 to $10,000 for straightforward cases, up to $10,000 to $50,000 or more for complex disputes.

Always request a detailed cost estimate during your consultation to understand total expenses.

Top Questions to Ask a Mediation Lawyer

Before hiring a mediation lawyer, consider asking the following questions:

  1. What experience do you have with mediation cases like mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in handling similar disputes.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify the fee structure and request an estimate based on your specific case.
  3. What is the likelihood of resolving my case through mediation?
Seek an honest assessment of whether mediation is suitable for your situation.
  4. How long will the mediation process take?
Inquire about the expected timeline and number of sessions required.
  5. Will you personally handle my case?
Confirm who will manage your mediation and represent your interests.
  6. Can we pursue alternative dispute resolution (ADR) if necessary?
Ask about other forms of ADR, such as arbitration, if mediation doesn't resolve the conflict.

How to Check the Credibility of a Mediation Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable mediation lawyer, take the following steps:

  • Verify their bar status: Confirm with your state bar association that the lawyer is licensed and has no disciplinary history.
  • Look for mediation experience: Review their website or professional profile for specialization in mediation and successful case histories.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Check platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google for client feedback.
  • Ask for references: Request references from past clients familiar with their mediation skills.
  • Check for certifications: Look for certifications from organizations like the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR).

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To maximize the effectiveness of your initial meeting, bring the following:

  • Relevant documents: Any materials related to the dispute, such as contracts, emails, financial records, or court filings.
  • List of key issues: A detailed list of the main points of contention that need resolution.
  • Timeline of events: A chronological account of events leading up to the dispute, including prior resolution attempts.
  • Goals for the mediation: Be prepared to discuss your desired outcomes and areas where you're willing to compromise.
  • Questions for the lawyer: Any queries about the mediation process, fees, or their approach to dispute resolution.

Being well-prepared will help the lawyer assess your case effectively and provide the best possible advice for resolving your dispute through mediation.
