I met with other estate lawyers and it felt like I was being rushed through a quick transaction with no meaningful connection to my situation. It felt like they were just checking the boxes to move on as quickly as possible. Until I meant Keoni. He took the time to understand our needs, our family, and us in general. Keoni guided us through the process, of which we had very little knowledge of. It was a long process but he gave clear guidance to help us do our part. Keoni never made us feel uncomfortable or hesitant to ask questions. He treated us like family. His prices may be higher than other estate lawyers, but in the end I realized I wanted someone who genuinely cared and did things the right way. My husband and I are very happy with Keoni and his estate planning services and 100% recommend him. We are lifetime partners with Keoni.

The process of setting up a trust is just that, a process, and having someone who will take the time to sit, explain, answer questions, and then answer more questions as you go through the trust setup process is really important. Keoni spent a lot of time with us, answering questions that came up along the way, gave us the guidance we needed to make sure we thought of everything and everyone involved. He was flexible is scheduling follow up meetings, due to our very hectic work & travel schedules, it took a few weeks longer then planned, but we are not done and feel better knowing we are on the right track. Thank you Keoni for being patient with us.

Arbitrator Marr just completed an grievance arbitration here in Oregon State. I would not hesitate to recommend him to arbitrate any legal matter. He is exceptionally intelligent, articulate, and runs an arbitration hearing like l learned judge. In my opinion, he reflects arbitral independence, integrity, and impartiality. He is a very good listener. Irrespecitve of how he rules, you will know that you recieved a fair hearing.

I retained Kevin as my lawyer for a divorce with 2 children, property, and a military pension. Kevin was excellent. My ex-wife hired a more expensive lawyer, but Kevin took care of everything. He is meticulous, and knows the law. For example, the other attorney had his paralegals type up the income and expense statements. In my case, Kevin sat down with me and personally reviewed my expenses and assets and filled out the form. Therefore, when the other attorney sent over the paperwork, he was able to find numerous errors in their computations. H was able to get me the best result for my situation. I am very happy with the result. He is level headed and always had my best interest at heart. I highly recommend Kevin. You can trust him and he will be truthful and honest with you.

Kevin was an awesome and great attorney. Time was never wasted when prepping and reviewing for my case. Mr. Adaniyas game plan, approach and strategy to my case got me everything that I wanted. Time with my son that cant be replaced. The apposing lawyer tried to pull a few fast ones on us but Mr. Adaniya always has his A game on and didn't let him get away with anything. Mr. Adaniya made sure I had copies of everything and stamped copies of any paper work he had filed or that got filed in court. Hiring him was the best money I ever spent in my life and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Thanks to Mr. Adaniya I have a beautiful and growing relationship with my son and that to me is priceless. Thank you Mr. Adaniya for all your hard work, time and effort put forward in my case I will always be grateful for everything you have done for me and now my FAMILY.

If you are looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional attorney you will be very pleased with Kevin Adaniya. I was referred to him through a friend and this is by far the best attorney that I have ever had represent me. He was very responsive with updates regarding my case, sending me status emails. He was knowledgeable in the law pertaining to my case and very professional. He is well respected by the judge and very confident in the courtroom. What can I say, he was just amazing and well worth what nominal fee he charged. He actually sent me a refund after the case was finished, which I was surprised because honestly I felt like he was worth the whole amount!

What a terrible lawyer. I paid $1250 for my case and sat around for 6 months with him telling me to just wait. He kept telling me to do work and then he would look at it and screw up the details as he was trying to edit it. I watched him type relevance and underscores below 11 pages of time line I wrote instead of copying and pasting for an hour and then I had to go back and delete the underscores because as most people know you can't type on top of them. I found out later he charged me $300 for that day. He also charged me for a lot of things that weren't in our contract when I got a bill for an additional $3000. I told him I wasn't paying it because I read the contract and he violated his own contract. Billing more for paralegal time and for phone calls he wasn't supposed to be talking to certain people. He said I was going to have to pay and I told him to sue me for it and I would win because he was a crappy lawyer and broke the contract. That was over a year ago and he hasn't gotten a penny from me. Then he told me he would sue me for libel if I left him a bad review. We'll guess what, challenge excepted. I'm leaving you a terrible review for you being a terrible lawyer who did nothing for me and in the end I was cleared because I was innocent and just sat down and spoke with the investigators and cleared my name against his advice. Almost $1300 down the drain for exactly 2 pages of handwritten notes that are illiterate saying don't do anything. Thanks but I could have done that for free. I wanted a lawyer to be with me by my side but he was always too busy. He would email and then you would respond and I saw he auto deleted your response. He wanted you to respond on a program even he didn't use. He was never available to answer your call and you would be told be his office he would call and then he wouldn't. Horribly unprofessional, unclean and disorganized office place. Find a lawyer that isn't such a wuss and know what they are doing. Go ahead, try sueing me and I'll make you look stupid.

I hired this attorney to file guardianship paperwork for my incapacitated brother. If I had to do it all over again I would not use this attorney and I would not recommend anyone use this attorney. My brother was homeless on the street and this attorney lagged in filing the paperwork to get the process started to get him off the street. He lied about filing the paperwork and when addressed with concerns his response was fire me. Paperwork was never filed until a month after he was hired. A week after a news story was aired on my brother. His team made it seem as if we were waiting for the court to issue a court date but when I called the court they confirmed nothing was ever filed. I was told that because the news story had aired they hoped it would light a fire and get the process started when in fact the whole time they failed to even file the paperwork. This whole time my brother was homeless on the street in very bad health. It’s one thing to be behind on your duties but it’s another thing to lie about it and then rectify the issue with saying fire me when you are addressed with the concerns. Fast forward to today we were notified by the court that the lawyer failed to follow up with required paperwork needed by the court in regards to the granted guardianship. I would not hire this lawyer again and thank god my brother is no longer in Hawaii and in very good health today.

When you're dealing with things like DV and custody, the last thing you need is to be used and abused by your lawyer/firm, someone who is supposed to advocate for and care about you. I was with this firm for about a year. I was forced to switch to 3 different lawyers and was charged each time. DO NOT go with this firm. The first lawyer I had was so cold and gave bad legal advice that ended up screwing up my case. I was with the second lawyer for about a month before they switched me again. Again, I was charged each time for each new lawyer to review my case and to meet with them to catch them up. It was traumatizing because I'm going through a custody battle and DV case so each time I had to explain again about how my soon to be ex-husband is abusing and has abused me and my children. I've also been charged even when THEY had to reschedule a meeting. It was unreal. They called me a couple hours prior and I graciously agreed. Thankfully I watched the bills because they had the nerve to charge me for that call. It seems like they are very scattered, unorganized and greedy. I acknowledge that lawyers deserve to be paid but they absolutely went too far. One of my lawyers I had literally called me the wrong name in court multiple times. One time mispronouncing it and one time calling me someone else's name entirely. It was humiliating. She also filed papers from someone else's case with my case papers. It was a nightmare! I'm so thankful I left and I now have a lawyer who genuinely cares.

I am a criminal defense attorney in Michigan and after a friend of mine got in trouble in Honolulu, I scoured the internet to secure a great criminal defense attorney. We are so lucky to find Mr. Brian Kim. He is professional, responsive, efficient, and effective. He got us excellent results. He was able to have my client's original felony case reduced to a misdemeanor offense that will eventually be dismissed through a diversion program. I cannot thank him enough for everything he did for my friend.

She flew to the Big Island, saw everything she needed to see pertaining to the case, and she was just Awesome... I would definitely recommend Elizabeth Fijiwara or Joe Rosenbaum if you have a situation like I did...Highly Recommend them....Thanks Liz...And, Thanks Joe for picking me up and taking me to Kaaawa, I had a nice day with you...P.S. And, when your case is over and done, Liz always keeps in touch no matter what holiday it is. Thanks Liz for all your beautiful cards. Love you Liz, Always... Hailama-Ana Rivera

Hired Joseph Rosenbaum and Elizabeth Jubin Fujiwara March 2019. Joe wrote an ADA demand letter to my former employer. Company responded harshly -- admonishing Joe for failing to act ethically. In sports terminology, employer attorney "dunked on him." Joe did not "zealously defend" me. Felt he let employer push us around. Appealed to Elizabeth Fujiwara, as she is senior partner. She not only refused to assist -- claims she is mediator -- instead kicked me out of their firm and threw ALL my money back at me against my objections. Elizabeth and Joe left me in WORSE position than when I started. They walked way from me after having a "frank discussion" as HI Disciplinary Board advises. I simply offered what I believed was a winnable strategy. Ended up having to write my own complaint to Hawai'i Civil Rights Commission. They filed a charge against my former employer, but pro se isn't effective. Now, four years later, HCRC provided right to sue letter. Reached out to Joe for clarification. He's a kind man; smart and talented. That's the reason I hired him in the first place. We had a positive, productive conversation. Thought it would be a good opportunity to mend our relationship. Asked if he would like to represent me going forward. I was able to save a significant amount of money and could fund our action. Nope! They refused my request. Firm is still angry with me for speaking up. Much retaliation in Hawai'i. Small population, not much competition. It appears if you speak up for yourself, you're out in Honolulu. Go along if you want to get along.

My poor mother is lost in a 20+ year divorce case and lost her court records in a fire. She turned to Micky hoping for some relief and answers. Instead, she demanded she see a divorce decree or recommended that my mother return to her old attorney… if she had listened to my mother or even cared, she would know we need help obtaining copies of court records, that a decree might not exist, and that the previous attorney did not see the case through.

The previous attorneys didn't seem to want to understand my situation and consequently we got nowhere. Micky was different, she listened to me, she asked questions, she studied my financial details and she came up with a solution that allowed me to get divorced without going to trial. What a Mediation Lawyer Can Do for You

A mediation lawyer specializes in resolving disputes outside of the courtroom through a process called mediation. Mediation involves a neutral third-party mediator who helps the disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Mediation lawyers can represent clients in various matters, including divorce, business disputes, employment conflicts, contract issues, personal injury claims, and more.

Unlike litigation, mediation is a less adversarial and more cost-effective way to settle disputes, often leading to faster resolutions and preserving relationships between the parties involved.

When Should I Hire a Mediation Lawyer?

Consider hiring a mediation lawyer when you’re involved in a dispute and want to avoid the time, expense, and stress of going to court. Common reasons to hire a mediation lawyer include:

  • Divorce or child custody disputes: A mediation lawyer can help you reach a fair settlement on issues like property division, alimony, and parenting arrangements without going to court.
  • Business or contract disputes: For disagreements such as contract disputes, partnership conflicts, or intellectual property issues, a mediation lawyer can assist in resolving the matter through negotiation.
  • Employment disputes: Issues like wrongful termination, discrimination, or wage disputes can be addressed through mediation to find common ground and avoid lawsuits.
  • Personal injury cases: Mediation can help both parties agree on compensation in cases like car accidents or slip-and-fall claims without a prolonged court battle.
  • Property disputes: Disputes over property ownership, landlord-tenant issues, or boundary disagreements can be settled more amicably through mediation.
